I am thinking the recent "Michael" scandal is holding him up...the industry is sick of the Jacksons (spoke recently to someone in the music biz..and I heard an earful of reproaches)


wow really Memefan? Hopefully the industry is sick of the way they are acting and sick of the way they have thrown MJ under the bus. I am glad to hear that the industry is very aware of what the family is about

The 1st mistake his team made was milking the Michael connection that early in the game. His last name is not Jackson, he should have come out like Bruno Mars did...a new player. Just play up the talent.

People would have EVENTUALLY connect the dots....but by then, he might have his own following on his own talent recognition.


But noooooo...they took the yellow brick road. They wanted to start with a bang...and milking the recently dead relative was chosen as the best strategy.

I have absolutely no hope for this family...they never learn. You cannot keep doing the same ish and expect different results.

The irony will be, if ever MJ's kids end up working in the entertainment industry, they will try to stay clear of their dad's name as much as possible. Because he raised them that way.

honestly i dont think they milked the connection. he had his mom there with him so im sure some picked up on it... also he looks too much and talk too much like a jackson for people not to know. also all you would have to do is look it up online, or come to a site like this and they wouldve found out VERY QUICKLY. now if this was pre-internet, i would agree. also genevive has as much talent as many of those other chicks out there. if she gets the right team behind her something could happen.

that will NEVER HAPPEN. look at lisa marie. i know yall dont like janet, but as big of a career she has had, people ALWAYS asked about him. even when she asks them not 2. n thats their dad, so just imagine.

seriously..... i highly doubt this. so out of everyone in the industry, they are just gonna be sick and tired of them... yea right. especially since none of them are making music. you are giving the jackons waaayyy 2 much here. im sure many people in the industry respect them but could care less about them.

seriously..... i highly doubt this. so out of everyone in the industry, they are just gonna be sick and tired of them... yea right. especially since none of them are making music. you are giving the jackons waaayyy 2 much here. im sure many people in the industry respect them but could care less about them.

I agree, there is no use trying to hide where you come from. I remember reading that Janet considered changing her last name when she was younger so that people would think she was using the connect but that wouldn't have helped lol she could have done many duets with Michael in the 80's but she wanted to establish herself. Austin has been working hard for years and he's very talented, he plays mutliple intruments and sings and dance well i think he really wants to make it on his own but being Michael Jackson's nephew doesn't hurt and is somthing he embraces.

Michael is a huge interest, he is arguable the greatest entertainer of all time so people who had any relation to him will be asked about that and i think everyone understands that. Being related to Michael will only get you so far, you need the drive and determination to become a force of your own.
