I think it's because they are saying it "em jay" and in that case you have to put the "an" before a vowel. But I guess you say a Michael Jackson fan...:scratch:

Oh and while we're on the subject - why do people say cheese when they get their picture taken?

They say cheese because they think they'll have an awesome smile. Lol. When you say "cheese" ur face looks like - :D I guess. Sometimes people want me to do it, but ehh..no :lol: Hope it was what you meant.

Why is the word 'Herb' spelled the same but pronounced 2 totally different ways? :ermm:

The name Herb, like a mans name, the 'H' is pronounced

But when you say Herb, like a cooking spice, it's pronounced 'erb' with a silent 'H'

I am not a woman hater or womanizer.....
I wanted to know why sometimes women say they dislike
another women and will bash them hither and yon behind
their backs but to their face they are are sickly sweet?
why is that? that confuses the heck out of me....Ive seen
women in my family and that I know around me doing it :unsure:
