As for their careers being alive again maybe it took Michael's death to "wake them up" so to speak and realize that nothing is guaranteed in life and they should get back to what made them successful in the first place.

what made them all successful was Michael as the lead singer. No matter how much they want to deny it, it's the truth. Because after Michael left the band the world lost interest in the Jacksons and their "successful" carreer went to hell.

I agree and I believe the brother's knew that as well. In my opinion, that's why they WASTED all of those years begging Michael to join them on stage again. They ALL knew the act would not have been BIG without Michael's participation.

Now I'm afraid it's too late for them. Sure they can go out there and follow Tito's lead, but I don't think Jermaine is interested in doing little shows, here and there. In my opinion, Jermaine wants the HUGE Michael Jackson style concert gigs, but alas, that is a "dream" that will never come true for poor Jermaine.

That recent Vegas show is a testament as to what folks think about Jermaine on stage. No offense, that's just REAL TALK!

Is this "Celebrity Clos Calls" a actual episode in 2011 with Jermaine?

These people are so despicable that it serves them right to have no real careers, despite of them wanting it soo soo much.

the only thing they have gotten back to is selling stories about mj something they wouldnt have dared do if mj were alive.but seeing as theres nothing to lose anymore ie they were left no money they might aswell cash in while theres a renewed intrest.

And halima needs to go sit down.anyone who gets involved with such a deadbeat shoukd be looking at themselves.hope she doest get upset when jerm cheats on her .last thing she should do is speak for mj.cause i bet she met him less times than me.and i was hardly his best buddie so whats that telling u.

We must be honest and realistic, if not was the talent of Michael, the Jackson 5 would never have gone anywhere. Like it or not, Michael has always sustained ($$$) and led at the coasts this family. This is a fact. :fear:

Poor Michael. Since young carrying a burden. :(

lol I never said I hated Jermaine but, I'm not gonna pretend I don't see the obvious here.

She is his manager who is helping him promote a book about his brother after he dies and tried the same when he was still alive. Since MJ's death and before he has done nothing but talk about only his brother in many talk shows and reality shows all about his brother. Before MJ died it was all about gettin MJ to tour with them for yrs.

Like come on all he does is think and breath MICHAEL! So what I said isn't that heard to believe! No one but, Jermaine is to blame for his own solo career growing stale. It started with "Word to the Bad" and got worse. If he would have left MJ just be and the rest of the family maybe they would still had their own solo and respectable careers!?

But, noooo... They have to constantly bring up the J5 days and make MJ feel as he own them something!

Actually she was bragging on the other Jackson family members not Michael. IMO she was trying to say that the rest of the family was as famous as Michael.

Thats true. Most were just good backup singers and I have been following them since the late 70s.

Oh, I didn't recall that Michael spoke of this incident in his Moonwalk book, which I have read a couple of times. I just had a feeling something was odd about Jermaine's story (besides the cheesy reenactment) as I watched this segment on Access Hollywood.

Yes. I was a part of that discussion.

Initially she got angry and started saying why people were questioning Jermaine's talking to the TV channel about Michael. People were tweeting her and Jermaine that he was cashing on MJ. She was trying to rationalize saying that he didn't talk about Michael for a year, he could talk about him as he was his brother and the people knew nothing. Then she went on to say that all the Jacksons are famous on their own rights and made the mistaken statement of there wasn't any musical and famous families and that Jacksons was special.

I tweeted to her writing 13 famous family musical acts ranging from Bee Gees, Gladys Knight & Pips, Osmonds , Pointer sisters etc to the current Hanson and Jonas brothers. She replied to me saying that it was an "insult" comparing Jacksons to these people. I replied back to her calling her disrespectful to the legends. Because Hanson and Jonas brothers aside, the rest 10 names were old time legends and for example Bee Gees is the 6th highest selling musical act of all time. Osmonds was highly famous at the same time as Jacksons. So most of the people I listed (such as Bee Gees, Gladys Knight, Osmonds) were highly comparative to the Jacksons. I told her to be humble and respect the legends.

Then she went on to say when you go to a poor place with no electricity etc that they would recognize the Jacksons and not those people and she was being humble. I replied to her saying that my experience was they recognize Michael - and not Jermaine. And Jermaine's main recognition is based on "Jermaine the brother of Michael" and not "Jermaine Jackson the superstar". I also sent her what Michael said on Moonwalk and dared her to call Michael a liar. She stopped responding.

Other people continued to tweet to her and she went ballistic and tweeting stuff like "you aren't worthy of even kissing the ground that Jermaine walks" - she later deleted those. But kept saying that Jacksons made Michael etc.

In short I think that she's quite arrogant and disrespectful - to both musicians, fans and even Michael- and definitely not even remotely humble.

Ivy, great that you sent her the information from the book. Of course she did not respond to that; you scored your point!!! The people without electricity, of course as you said, know Michael Jackson more than they know The Jacksons, The Jackson 5, and Jermaine. I do not mind Halima sticking up for her man, but she also needs to get some facts straight.

Smh at Halima. I must admit, she is the perfect match for Jermaine. Both are arrogant and overestimate their own worth.

Someone also needs to tell Halima to NOT insult Michael's fans. After all, Jermaine is depending on them to buy his book. If she keeps it up, we should threaten her with a boycott and see how that feels (to the pocket). Stupid woman. Jermaine would be nothing without Michael AND his fans. Hell, he even depends on them to buy tickets to watch him make a fool of himself on stage.

Yep. All Jacksons and Halima need to understand that even though they have their own fans, a great block of their fans are Michael fans, so they should be more respectful. My guess is that when he travels he mentions the Michael connection. He is even doing it now to sell his book, which includes made up stories of Michael.
 
London, July 24: Michael Jackson’s older brother Jermaine has for the first time revealed how he once saved the late King of Pop from drowning.
He made the revelation in a new episode of the Biography Channel’s ‘Celebrity Close Calls’ due to air later this year.
Jermaine rescued the ‘Thriller’ singer who was pulled under water by fierce rip tides after going for a moonlight swim during family celebrations at his beachside mansion in Malibu.
The 56-year-old singer and composer revealed how he grabbed his floundering brother and hauled him to shore.
He gave Michael mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, but had to take him to the hospital.
“He needed hospital treatment immediately,” the Daily Star quoted him as saying.
Doctors found an air bubble had burst in a lung.
“It had been a life or death situation,” Jermaine added.

Wow, this doesn't sound like the kind of thing that we'd be only just finding out about now? Mouth to mouth resuscitation?!!

As for the Billie Jean story, I thought the rumour was that it was Bubbles who wrote all of Michael's hits? Haha!
