His imagination is too big haha. Too bad Michael wrote about it in his book. . If he would have stuck to the same story he still would have been a good brother bringing him to the hospital. No need to make it bigger then it is.

I agree, he shouldn't exaggerate the story to make him seem the hero, hasn't he read Michael's book? Doesn't he know its already mentioned in his book, the way it actually happened?

Not only Michael wrote about this incident in his moonwalk, Joe Jackson also talked to the media about it in 1977. Jermaine is Jermaine, I still remember his comical bio intro. I think we will hear more blah blah in the upcoming months about how heroic and important he was in Michael's life.

Michael Jackson Okay After Lung Collapse

Michael Jackson is feeling his old energetic self again after suffering a lung collapse recently that forced a month's cancellation of The Jackson family concerts. Explaining his son's uncomfortable condition, Joseph W. Jackson, president of Ivory Tower Records, explained to Jet, "Michael's lung collapse came as a result of overwork from the family's television series and other projects. Essentially what happened is that over a period of time a bubble appears on the lung and eventually bursts. Each time it does, a fraction of the lung is destroyed. People don't realize how the grind of television can affect you, even during just a 30- minute show."
Restricted to total rest for a month, Michael bounced back on his feet to begin filming his role as the Scarecrow in the upcoming movie version of The Wiz in New York City.

Said his father, "He's feeling all right now.If he weren't I certainly wouldn't have let him go to New York."

Not sure if it's been said or not but memory is a tricky thing. Our memory of things over time can evolve so two people remembering the same event will have different stories. Also the power of suggestion has an affect on memory. Maybe he told the story to someone in the past and they asked him for clarification "so he was in the water and you had to swim out to save him?" even if he said "no, he came in after me and I took him to the hospital", his memory could have been shaped by that question. Brains are very interesting things. Anyways, it doesn't mean he is lying, just that this is his memory of the event now (even if possibly it is wrong).

I guess the question is why he is sharing? Maybe he misses his bro, maybe it helps to talk about him, or maybe he likes the attention.

I just discovered by reading this what I used to get all the time as a child and then growing up.. and even still at times. It is so painful and when really bad feels like many tiny bubbles bursting with each breath in and each bubble hurts so much... more pain the deeper you breath in so only little breaths can happen. I went to the doctor with this and the idiot told me it's my breasts growing. No tests, just that statement. I knew that wasn't the case but aw well. I wonder if it does much damage or if it's ok after. Actually now talking about it I can still feel little bits of pain on my left side.

Oh, Shamone. No question makes anyone believe they've saved someone from drowing when

they weren't even in the water.

this was for a program called "close call" - near death experiences for the celebrities. so i think he embellished that with drowning being pulled under the sea part as "he had chest pains and I drove him to the hospital" wouldn't sound as a "close call".

Yeah that could be. LOL Rainny @ "Shamone" hahah I love that. Just that memories can be and are often changed as time goes by. Maybe my example wasn't the best but it does happen. Whether that happened to Jermaine or not, I have no idea.. he does seem like a bit of a story teller and does love that limelight.

She acts more like a Maid/Manger to Jermaine, then a wife. That's what I saw in the reality show between the two. And he likes it. How romantic!
