A&E to Jackson Bros -- The Offer's on the Table

Jermaine, Jackie, Marlon, and Tito may be as tired of their A&E show as everybody else in America -- we're told the network has already offered them a second season ... but so far, the bros. haven't bitten.



TMZ spoke with a rep for A&E, who confirmed the offer and told us the network would gladly have MJ's male siblings back for another round of "The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty" -- which airs its last episode this Sunday.

But there's one problem: we're told the brothers haven't responded to the offer yet.

It's unclear why the brothers wouldn't jump at the chance for a paycheck ... but then again, it's the Jacksons ... so nothing is ever as it seems.

hmmm..I will wait and see what the response will be of the bro's before I comment....I only watched the show twice the first season....I think that says it all.

Why bother commenting then? i have watched ALL the episodes so far and i am really looking forward to the next one. i hope they make more shows.:D

well I am happy that you enjoyed the shows.....for me however....I still cannot get passed how Jermaine seems to still be trying to get Michael's spotlight.....now this is my opinion....which is why I say...I only watched 2 shows...:).......

michael's spotlight? then whose light is all the other celbrities getting? or do you think No Jacksons are entitled to be in the light except michael? unfortunately some of Mj's fans were his worst enemy. Too much was put on his shoulders and he wasn't allowed to have some peace. now ANYBOdy who wants the spotlight can take it, even you. The spotlight was there before michael and it is still there now he is gone. Michael wanted to come off that greasy pole for a long time, and some fans wouldn't let him, no wonder he was so stressed.

ok, on a positive note about the article, I like the show. i think the bros are funny. Jermaine is a little special but he is growing on me. I'm starting to like him better. I hope they do the show for a second season and I hope they come out with a new album. I liked the first song they were singing.

Oh well, I guess we'll see. They just seem like a family that likes to have fun.

I never said anything about any other Jackson....I believe I specified Jermaine in my post....the rest can do what they want how they want and to who they want to do it to..I really dont care what they do.....Jermaine always seems to have his face first in the camera...talking about how HE was this HE was that...always trying to walk in Michael's shadow....and frankly I am just fed up with it ..which is why I CHOSE not to watch.....

I do agree that Michael was so very stressed all the time....however..Michael loved his fans...I doubt he blamed them for any of his problems.....I also agree with you when you say Michael deserves peace....he sure does.....What fans are you blaming ???...If I may ask??.......I cannot speak for Michael, so I do not know what or who caused him more stress.....all I know is that I miss him very much....and NO ONE can ever take his place....not even Jermaine.

They will do what they want with or without your permission. jermaine was always in the spotlight. it was michael who went into hiding, not Jermaine. Check the internet, you will find many appearances from Jermaine, many interviews from Australia, Britain, middle east. he duets with many artists and have many high profile friends.
When jermaine got married to berry gordy's daughter, Mj was an usher, Smokey Robinson wrote a wedding song for them and serenade them; his wedding was shown around the world and it was described as a royal wedding. Jermaine was always in the spotlight. Just that YOU were not looking.

I am so happy that you are such a HUGE Jermaine Jackson fan.....I see that you have been a part of this forum for quite sometime....I thought you joined because you were a MICHEAL Jackson fan.....it seems as though you are throwing Michael under the bus here.....I will say this as nice as I can....I love Michael ..not Jermaine....if I want to defend Jermaine I will go on a Jermaine Jackson forum.

it does not matter whose fan I am. you cannot be hating on some one just because You think they are stealing some one elses light. it makes no sense. there is light enough for everyone. Even YOU. Stop the hate. I have enough love for michael, Tito, Jermaine, marlon janet latoya Rebbie and all the jacksin family. I see them as my first family of music. they did it before all the other people that are doing it now.

I hate the idea that is being thrown around this forum that to be a fan of another Jackson is to not be a fan of Michael. By that logic, anybody could only like Michael Jackson and not another artist such as Usher, Elvis, Chris Brown, U2, Black Eyed Peas, or anybody else.

I'm a Michael Jackson fan, but I'm also a Jackson Five/Jacksons fan. And before people start bashing Jermaine, realize Jermaine was ALWAYS there on Larry King and other shows defending Mike, and that means more than anything else. Who cares if he wrote a song in the early 90s? People get angry all the time with their siblings. It just so happens that those people (normal people) are able to do it in private.

On Topic: I hope they do another season. I've enjoyed the show, and I've enjoyed seeing all the brothers interact. I wish a show like this could have been done in like 2001, leading into the 30th Anniversary show and following them after that. It would have been a good PR move and promotion for the Invincible album. Would have been nice to see MJ, and his other 5 brothers as normal human beings, not as personalities.

What a lovely post. some obsessed fans do not want to envisage Michael with a family. They prefer to see him on a pole like the scarecrow from the wiz. all he is good for to them is to sing and dance. don't let him have brothers and sisters who interracts with him. To them he is not a person, just a personality. That is why they bash his family constantly. how dare they even memtion their brother's name.

This post in flawed in the sense that you are telling people that if you love one than you must love the other, which is completely untrue. I love my mother very much, but I think her brother, my uncle, is an asshole. I love my grandmother, but her sister is a jerk, putting it nicely. Does that mean I hate my entire family. Of course not, I just don't like certain individuals like I am sure some of you don't like certain individuals in your family.

As for the infamous Word to the Badd, that will hunt Jermaine to the day his dies, whether you like it or not. It has nothing to do with being normal or private. He could had settle his beef with Michael without putting it in song and allowing it leak on the radio. That is kind of like me writing I hate my brother letter and allowing someone to post it on Facebook. He wrote the song and allow it to leak so he has to live with the consequences. You may forgive him, but you can't get on others if they chose not to because that is their right as an individual.

So, people have the right to not like or even hate certain family members, but love Michael. Just as there are some people here who love the family, but seem not to like Michael so much.

I will say it here. I am a Michael Jackson fan and so it my entire family. However, I am and will never will be a Jackson 5 fan. I respect the history and like some of their old songs, but for me Michael was and is the one who made that group. As Michael has proven time and time again, he could live without his brothers, but his brothers couldn't live without him. Which is why I personally don't care one way or the another what the family does as long as it does it respectfully. So, they can do this reality show until the cows come home. It is their decision and they are the ones who has to live with it.

Triumph and Destiny are such beautiful albums...

You should give it a try.

Of course, Mike has always been the heart and soul of the group for 45 years but the brothers are not as bad as well. Besides, Marlon, Jackie, Tito, Randy and Jermaine have all contributed in some ways to the legacy of the J5. They might have flaws and past mistakes but who doesn't?

I'm not asking you to be a fan but at least have an open heart.

jackie jackson and Randy jackson were the main writers and musiciana for some of those beautiful songs Michael samg in the group.:D

By the way, Michael also wrote and produced some songs off those album... :cheeky:

I still think Randy is the second most talented Jackson sibling. Too bad, he wasn't promoted rightly. Jermaine too. There would have been 4 Jackson superstars if they made it big time.

I did listen to Triumph, Destiny, and even Victory. I also went on Youtube and listened to every last one of brothers' solo songs and videos from Motown to the early 90s. I do not form opinion on something until I experience it myself and I do not care for none of the above.

Triumph and Destiny has some okay stuff on there, but the songs are all mediocre to me. Even when Michael's vocals came in, some of those songs sounded dead. The only songs I really do like off those albums are the usual suspects: Shake Your Body to the Ground, Blame it on the Boogie, and Can You Feel It.

If anything, those albums really shows me how much Michael has grown as a songwriter and singer. His solo albums blows anything he did with the Jackson out of the water. Even Off the Wall, which is my least favorite album because I am not really into disco, sounds better and more fresh than anything on Triumph or Destiny.

It also shows how the other brothers have not really grown since these albums. To make it in the business, you have to be willing to grow and involve. Which is why Michael was so successful because he didn't do that same thing until the wheels came off. His brothers seems stuck in the past trying to retrieve their former glory. The reality show only confirmed what I have suspected for a long time.

You are assuming a lot, aren't you.? The word is HONEST not obsessed. Michael DESERVED a family that had his back. I resent how they used him. Do not get me started on your boy JERMAINE. I have stated before that he is a PHONY. He desperately wants to replace MICHAEL. I am not backing down. So there.!!
Now i will definitely enter THE WITNESS PROTECTION PROGRAM.

If A&E is offering them a second season, the ratings must've been decent. Does anyone have any info on how many viewers the show drew?

Oh forget that Jermaine has been the one talking against the FBI and police for how they have treated Michael. Forget that Jermaine told Larry King and others that he would give anything, even his life, to have Michael back and that he has been the only Jackson who has said that(someone correct me if I'm wrong).
Michael forgave Jermaine for WTTB, so that meant that Jermaine was sorry. Leave Jermaine alone. He is grieving too. This makes me sick, all the bashing of Jermaine.
