Oddly I don't see this posted anywhere here yet so I figured I would just go ahead.

I'm happy to see this celebration will be held for the third year but I doubt I will be going again unless it's held indoors with air conditioning or the temperature at the end of August miraculously happens to be under 80 degrees and not humid. I almost passed out last year from the intense heat, sun and humidity. I will be there in spirit.:)

It's Official: Spike is happy to announce that he will be hosting the 3rd Annual Brooklyn Loves Michael Jackson Birthday Celebration on Saturday, August 27th this summer. Same place. Same time.

OMG you thought it was hot? I went last year, I don't know what the temperature was, but I thought the weather was great (FWY, where I live we normally hit triple digit temperatures...100-110 degrees farenheit).

I hope I can go again this year.

God Bless Spike. Last year I went to LA and there was some candles on his Star, so this year I will be going to the park. I hope this continues every year. It will be our Neverland.

I think this is wonderful of Spike.. It's a shame that Mike's own family has done absolutely nothing for him. I know Katherine is a Witness and doesn't celebrate birthdays but my God she has done nothing for him but promote a book that she did with a porn producer. And his brothers aren't Witnesses why haven't they done anything for MJ?
Spike is not related to MJ and he's doing more for MJ than his own family.

Well spike knows how to organize something for free. The brothers do not have that type of mindset when it comes to Michael. They wait for others to do something. My sense of them is that they are interested in Michael in terms of family members benefiting actions, rather than Michael in terms of fans/legacy actions. Unless of course they could make a lot of money!!!!!!

Hehe! You don't understand. It could be 80 degrees and I feel like I'm gonna die from the heat. I am very heat sensitive. It's a miracle I made it to these celebrations the past 2 years. Anyone who knows me knows I hate warm weather, summer, heat and humidity. It's very uncharacteristic of me to go to these types of things. But I did it for Michael. Who knows. I might change my mind. I will never say never. But I did almost die, lol.

YES!!!!! I lived in Brooklyn for 14 years and I went to high school around the park the celebration is gonna be held at. I live in Long Island now, just several miles away from BK. I can't wait! I'm so going! Thank you Spike!

DUDEEE!!! I think I Can GO this year... I had classes the other times but this one, I think I'm gonna be there... I want to celebrate Michael as much as I CAN!!!

And maybe next year I get to go to NL, FL, and maybe Gary,Indiana!!!

Its a great way to honer MJ's memory, I wish this turns into a really huge festival someday with the big stars going to perform tributes to MJ, that would be great :yes:

Yes I think I will be making the trip there this year. I went to NYC last June, but didn't make it back for Michael's birthday. I went to Gary instead.:D I'm very glad to hear that Spike is holding the celebration again. Thank you for posting. :yes:

Well the answer is very simple : MONEY!! THEY'D DO ANYTHING FOR MONEY! And since this celebration brings no money, why bother. That is their sick mindset. Shame, shame.

But, his three kids, his REAL family- I'm sure will be different once they are of age. :yes:

I will make an extra effort because many fans want to go this year for the first time & some of them I do wanna meet.

Hopefully, it won't be as HOT (scorching hot) as last time...And I hope you wont get stuck on an MJ cruise boat with a bunch of older folks...AGAIN.
