you're a little late on the news i see, the estate revealed that there would be an announcement on Monday February 24th 2014. the teaser for the announcement came on Feb 23rd 2014 and the announcement was for the new partnership between sony xperia and the estate of Michael Jackson. more michael jackson news coming in the next few weeks, as promised by sony.

I must say I'm surprised there's no insiders talking on the forums. Even MKGenie didn't have much information on what's to come. I know we all want different things when it comes to Michael's material but honestly in the long run I just want to see everyone happy.

They can release any song they want since they include People Of The World (it's my dream to hear the full version) and Blue Gangsta :cheeky:

Funny, i had no idea that storm song existed. I totaly like that direction of the song.

I actually believe whilst we may have grown to know and love the versions of the songs we know, the already leaked songs could sound much worse if they have been re/done by timbaland. I actually prefer the original tricky remix of it, and it could be the same for other tracks.

Because of that I don't see the point on saying a song would be good to have because I think there's a strong chance it will be remixed and not be what we know and have grown to love. Making it possibly not as good, but of course it could be better.. Look at Hollywood Tonight. For me, Riley is better than the demo version.

I don't get why fans complain about releasing unreleased material but then complain about leaked material being changed to sound different... We have the original song.. So what's the fuss really? It is very likely that they changed it so much specifically cuz they wanted it to be different than the song we've heard.. Why would we buy a single if we already have the song???

That's how I see it anyway!! I hope they wont mix unreleased (unheard material) that much, and they may not.. And the ones that they do (if they do) will probably be the tracks they release the originals for anyway..

Or, I was pointing out that people will complain when it isn't what they've grown to love and the Estate have messed up Michael's music to make it sound modern etc etc

I've been reading peoples comments on here from day to day and i've got to say people are expecting far too much and dare I say it, become really quite greedy when it comes to what they expect and if they don't get it its not right. People threatening to do this and that if they don't get demos CD2 etc

The end of the day, The estate are not going to keep releasing new albums here there and everywhere every year. They are going to want to preserve alot of material for future years and generations. So when I see people listing every song under the sun that Michael has recorded it amazes me to think how many people are always wanting and don't actually see the bigger picture of whats to come in future years.

For the record I do agree that new producers should be re-producing (in a tasteful manner, keeping the Michael flavour there) and mixing the songs for the album, afterall if we still want more and more people to discover Michael, his songs need to cater for the new generation of music. Wasn't this what Michael was trying to achieve with the Invincible album?

Basically don't get all uptight people and enjoy the rollercoaster thats to come and try your best not feel disapointed when your song doesnt appear on the album when it drops. Because no doubt it'll be there in future years :)

couldn't agree more with this, i am very excited to see what will be released over the next 70 years.. probably more than we could dream of.. i'm excited to see what this album will entail and i hope that it is well received by the public.. Michael deserves another Number One album & it would be fantastic if we could get him there again..

I have high hopes for this album, considering what has been done so far (major promo campain with Sony).
I'm think the album will drop and bang we have an instant lead single and everything else will fit into place. Without bringing it up too much I actually do feel the estate has learned massively from its mistakes on the 'Michael' album. Considering everything we have had since has been about quality and not quantity. From Immortal, Bad 25, One and to what we find ourselves looking forward to now. They just need to keep the ball rolling and not cut any corners when it comes to promotional material and keeping Michaels name and image going. :)

That thread was closed with a redirect that led to what the announcement was. The estates partnership with Sony Experia.

It would be nice if the official album announcement come's from Sony, sometime in this coming week.. ready for a new collection of Michael's treasured unreleased recording's :heart:
 
I hope the album is going to sell well.
If it does I think there is a better chance that they will release the album with classical music.
Maybe for Michael´s birthday 2018.

But first I´m going to enjoy the next album whenever it´s released.

I definitely think an anthem of some form should be included. It was a thing since Bad and every album after that had one.

that's why i included we've had enough in my fantasy tracklisting.. it's a beautiful song and as of now we don't know of other anthems.. it deserves to be exposed to a broader audience

That would work if they are going for re releases. Or, they could use the song with Snoop Dogg? I know very little about completion etc but I heard it mentioned recently.

If they plan on giving os 10 songs - if WHE is on the track-list and there is then 11 songs it's a WIN-WIN !!

Michael was not even 50 minutes. - There was plenty of room for an extra song on that. - If this album is the same - 10 songs, 45 minutes - it would be great if they put on WHE as an 11th song and the album was then 50+ minutes.

I know it was on TUC - BUT I have never meet someone (nonfan) who knew the song!! - Not one I have asked have ever heard it before - BUT everyone seem to like the song actually!

WHE was complete and wasn't on Michael's radar of songs to work on post-2001. The inclusion of TWYLM on Michael is understandable because Michael was working on it at the time of his death.

WHE is good, and as much as I like it to be discovered more. I feel that if released, the drums would need slight updating. They sound very early 2000's.

I feel like we are getting something soon! In the meantime I would like to share some fanart for STTR. I am so curious what the official album cover will look like. I got really excited when I saw another member posting a cover idea for 'Bang Your Head'. Slave To The Rhythm should definitly be the lead single in my opinion. With the right mix it can go to number one.

Michael recorded We've Had Enough in 2004, i believe specifically for the ultimate collection.. it is a masterpiece in my opinion.. i played it to non fans on a coach a few years back and they loved it.. i agree, the drums could sound a little more alive but i think it could work great as THE anthem on this new album, going with what Hess said.. we'd get 11 song's instead of 10 if this is included also..

Oh my lord, that is fantastic. The picture of the back if MJ works so well, honestly that is absolutely amazing.
