i have already written my fantasy tracklist, anyways.. latest word we have as of now is that there will be original and updated versions of Michael's demo's. I personally think there will be a regular edition for the public to buy and a deluxe edition for us hardcore fans (like BAD 25). i just hope there will be various advertisements and the estate give several song's to radio stations. if the public hear snippets of Michael's vocals i'm fairly sure they'll be more interested than if they just read a press release on the estate's fb or twitter page.

Of a lot of these songs we don't even know how they sound, so I'm not going to say I want a certain song on the album just because it has a title that sounds interesting, but who knows if it really is a good or reasonably finished song? Out of those which leaked I think Blue Gangsta, Slave to the Rhythm, A Place With No Name definitely should be on the album.

I definitely don't want any Cascio songs near the album though.

I agree very much. - Also I would like Escape on the new album. I really think it's a great song.

And the album could easily be named "Michael Jackson Escape" in my opinion! - I like the one word titles. - Thriller, BAD, Dangerous, HIStory Invincible. - Would love the Estate to follow these one word titles!

I definitely prefer a one word title, although I can't deny that I would love to see Slave to the Rhythm as an album title (despite my feelings on the song itself).

Even though I'm iffy about the release of these songs, I personally think that the Estate should keep the best songs in the vault. DYKWYCA and Escape are some of the best songs Michael's ever done, and wasting them now would be a silly decision. I don't want to hear every great song in the immediate future and then be left with good/mediocre ones for the rest of my life.

I disagree. IMO they should assemble the best tracks from Invincible era-2009 and chose from them. Album should have 12-16 tracks, leaked and unheard. (x2 if there will be old and reworked versions of the same song).

I think it's better to release/enjoy these "current" songs NOW and have a positive influence on the world. That's how I see it :)

Honestly, I'm trying not to get my expectations too high. At the very least I'm anticipating five songs, with two versions of each included.

^^ 'Off The Wall' = 10 Song's 'Thriller' = 9. If they have 9 Song's on this Album I'd expect 33% leaked (Including A Place With No Name, Blue Gangsta & Escape).. and 67% unleaked, for example Can't Get Your Weight Off Me, She Was Lovin' Me & Chicago etc.

That's interesting because I have heard several people say here in Hungary that radios play the song here. I assumed it's the illegal leak because back then when that illegal Bieber "duet" leaked some radios also played it (not in Hungary but I have seen people talk about it on the Internet). But maybe this is not illegal then but Sony sent it to radios as a promo single?

Is someone able to contact Sony Music Poland and verify the radio station's story or something?

I hope that Sony don't do what they did with the Michael singles and only release them in a single market or two with jack all promotion. None of the singles that Sony did that to performed even remotely alright.

I'd rather the album be kicked off with a bang and have an AMAZING single that is heavily promoted and pushed by Sony in all (or at least them major) markets, that also has the potential to do well on the charts. Not quietly send a track to some random radio station in a single country or two...

"promotional single" the official details have not yet been announced so the advertisement campaign is still a little early to begin on the mainstream markets! I'm sure when the press release by the estate is revealed, we'll see it all over the world! don't start this with a doubt.. I'm sure all will be fantastic

I hope you are kidding. If they don't release your personal playlist on the album you won't but it .. Thats too funny but also sad. I never heard such a thing.

I hope the first proper single is Slave to the Rhythm. If promoted well, that track has some serious potential :D

if they've created a promo cd for APWNN I think that should be the first official single release! the song is fantastic & I'm sure people will love it, now that Sony have given the song out.. hope there's an announcement coming soon

Most singles these days are purchased digitally and I recall reading a few months ago that 80% of digital music is purchased through iTunes. If they're going to release singles, they should focus a lot of their promotion towards the digital stores like iTunes, as well as the radio.

Pay Apple to feature MJ on the home page significantly when the first single or two drops and again when the whole album drops. Don't just have the most promotion in the week after it's release, keep at least some of it up for the next few weeks! Let everyone preview the album on iTunes in the week leading up to it's release - like they have for Daft Punk, Justin Timberlake, Arctic Monkeys etc etc! Make the album and singles' pages look amazing with graphics like they do for some of the bigger releases, have the tracks 'Mastered for iTunes', just go the extra mile! Make the new MJ album known! :D

Wouldn't it be awesome if the Estate/Sony came up with a really unique, creative and interesting way to promote the album that would get a lot of attention too?

you're intent on delivering a well put together project is something they should take a note upon! I think the UK had the world premiere of the advertisement for the 'Michael' album, it's on YouTube! would be great, possibly during Britain's Got Talent? it's normally in Spring.. they should get the word out there! A Place With No Name & Can't Get Your Weight Off Me are what I would personally choose! I personally think Michael's faster paced Song's get more attention (example: thriller) although I do hope there are some ballads included too! let's hope they don't leave too much time between having the song on the radio now & the official press release/announcement.

How effective is the promotion on BGT? I heard that viewer numbers have been decreasing recently. I remember watching it in 2012 though, mainly because I liked all the judges and were quite aware of who they all were.

If they were going to do something like that, they could get Travis Payne and others to create a new dance for, say, Slave to the Rhythm and have them perform it on there. If they had any footage of MJ recording the song, have it play on the backdrops! In regards to ballads, that would be harder as well, how exactly would they perform those without Michael? I'm sure they'll have ballads on the album but when it comes to singles, they should focus on the faster pace songs that will likely get more attention and can be promoted easier. If they have a really good ballad, it might not hurt to have it as the third single or something though! We'd want the first single or two to be really good, really catchy, really out there, ya know? Something people can put on and jam to :D

hmmm, I think it still does get around 11 million viewers! now that Simon Cowell is back also :D that helps with the viewership a lot, I was referring to a tv ad though! but of course having the crew of this is it there would be immense too, Maybe they could perform to 'Chicago' it must be a dance track as it evolved into al Capone? How do you think the ad should be like then? like, what kinda visuals?

Oh that's not too bad! Chicago sounds like a dance track to be honest. I'm not sure what kind of visuals it could have, probably a similar tone to Smooth Criminal (i.e. very noir influenced, silhouettes everywhere), I'd want to hear the song first, see what it's about as well. They could probably create something entirely new by cutting out various photos and videos of Michael though, similar to the Vision titlecards.

I've noticed that for Smooth Criminal, it has a very blue-and-black look (as it was very much inspired by noir films, as previously mentioned). You Rock My World, which also utilised that gangster-in-suit look, was yellow-and-black if you remember that silhouette dance just before the song fully kicks in. I speculate that Chicago is likely a dance track that has a similar feeling to Smooth Criminal and Al Capone because the name suggests that it was earlier versions of those two songs. If that was the case, they could probably create a similar look for Chicago but perhaps focus on another colour, say... red and black? Though he did use that scheme for Dangerous... so maybe purple? He was going to wear a purple suit for This Is it (forgot which song specifically though):

So if Travis Payne etc was going to perform Chicago on BGT and the song had the feel we anticipate it might, they could wear suits that look just like that.

Some might feel that this look is a bit overused with Michael by now (and I can see how), but it is hard to create a new look for an artist when they have passed on too, especially when Chicago might have that sort of feeling to it. Michael was pretty known for dancing in suits too so some could see it as an extension of that.

It is very interesting with the Polish radio station!

It has Michael Jackson - A Place With No Name listed under new songs.

It sounds pretty much exactly like the leaked version we have. - So apparently they have not changed much IF this is really the official version and not just the leaked version the radio plays.


IF this is an official promo single sent by SONY to the radio I think it's fair to say that an announcement is VERY close!! - Maybe Tuesday 21.

I can't really hear any diffence in quality. - It sounds like exactly the same version that leaked months ago.

BUT - if this indeed IS CD quality, then it indicates that it sure could be from a PROMO SINGLE !!

I think we will have an official announcement VERY SOON if SONY has already sent out promo singles to radio stations!!

CAN'T WAIT !!!!

yep, radio2funky have played it 2 times in 2 hours but i missed it both times :/

I doubt very much any danish radio stations have played APWNN yet.

When I first hear it on the radio I will be VERY EXITED !!!

New album getting very close I think!
