Xscape chart positions. (incl. singles)

Why is no-one celebrating the fact that LNFSG is now top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 (number 9)? MJ's biggest US chart entry since YANA in 1995.

I know I am. It is so awesome to have any single to top 10 but a posthumous one? wow! AND even more impressive at least for me is that it had dropped to 22 (which I thought would be the end of the song) but suddenly jumps all the way up to #9. Unbelievable! :woohoo:

^^Does anyone know how much more sales the number 1 single has over LNFSG, which is #9.

John Legend's All of Me is #1. According to Billboard:

Back at the top of the Hot 100, Legend's "All of Me" logs a third week at No. 1, leading Radio Songs for a fourth week (176 million audience impressions, down 5 percent). It rebounds 4-3 on Digital Songs, where it peaked for eight weeks at No. 2, with a 10 percent gain to 158,000 downloads sold; Legend performed the song on the Billboard Music Awards, which likely aided its gain (although, since the SoundScan tracking week ended the same night, the show could affect next week's sales totals more). "All" holds at No. 2 on On-Demand Songs (2.9 million, up 2 percent), which it ruled for four weeks, and slips 3-4 on Streaming Songs (7.4 million, up 1 percent).

LNFSG had 110,000 downloads last week. But based on this article despite of being #1 Legend's song was actually not the most downloaded song last week - they say it's #3 on the digital songs chart. (In the Hot 100 other factors count as well such as streaming, airplay so I guess that's how it could stay #1 despite of not being the most downloaded song.)

The most downloaded song was Ariana Grande's "Problem":

Azalea likewise rises a rung as the featured artist on Ariana Grande's "Problem," which rebounds 4-3 on the Hot 100, returning to its highpoint first set upon its debut two weeks ago. The track, another performed on the BBMAs, tops Digital Songs for a third week (247,000, up 5 percent); climbs 4-2 on Streaming Songs (7.5 million, up 15 percent); and rockets 30-16 on Radio Songs (56 million, up 38 percent), granting it the Hot 100's top Airplay Gainer award.

Billboard's new system is kind of weird: you sell almost 100,000 copies more than the guy at #1 and you are still not #1...

^Thanks for the explanation. It seems there are a lot of criteria involved in these chart rankings.

According to Mediatraffic

#6 - Love Never Felt So Good - Michael Jackson & Justin Timberlake
MJJ / Epic - 196.000 -
Largest Points Increase

#1 - Michael Jackson - Xscape
MJJ / Epic - 365.000 - 1 week at No.1 - Hot Shot Debut

(On a side note: what's wrong with people's tastes these days? The two top selling songs Ariana Grande's "Problem" and Iggy Azalea's "Fancy" is horrible music. John Legend's All of Me is a breath of fresh air in comparation.)

I for one am elated! I so want this song to go straight to #1! But for that to happen we all need to do all we can to make this possible. So people, go request this song on the radio. Instead of still debating to death the hologram drama, this should be our focus right now.

^^True. We should all do our part now. Everyone should try to request the song from that link in the request thread. Singles are very cheap, so I don't understand why more people are not downloading the single.

Guys don't forget to make creative tweets to stimulate downloads.

FYI, here is the media traffic link: http://www.mediatraffic.de/albums.htm

It would be awesome if the album could eventually sell 3 million worldwide by the end of it's run. I know this is a really big number these days but the second week sales projections and the performance of Love Never Felt So Good are giving me hope. Hopefully, more promotion will come and another few song will get hot to keep the fire burning. Keep requesting the songs on radio and streaming the videos on YouTube.

This link isn`t actuell . Can you give the new link with the Xscape-album.

If you click on the albums chart link in the left margin, it will take you to the current chart. Seems like their home page has not been updated yet

It doesn`t work for me, it comes always the last week chart. Only the track-chart is actuell.

Indeed, it seems that their home page has not yet been updated. But, the tracking chart on the album link is current. Great to see Michael at number 1 :)

It's from the top of the MediaBase songs. The 38.048 means the calculated number of airplay/stuff like that. 0.800 is the airplay/etc that happened the previous day.

Example:

1. JOHN LEGEND – All Of Me: 223.623 (- 2.718)
2. JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE – Not A Bad Thing: 160.285 (- 0.018)
3. PHARRELL WILLIAMS – Happy: 153.358 (- 2.551)
4. KATY PERRY – Dark Horse: 140.545 (- 2.044)
5. IGGY AZALEA – Fancy: 122.694 (+ 3.896)
6. PARAMORE – Ain’t It Fun: 117.378 (+ 0.820) ▲
7. JASON DERULO – Talk Dirty f/2 Chainz: 115.525 (- 1.867) ▼
8. DJ SNAKE & LIL JON – Turn Down For What: 113.952 (- 0.039)
9. AMERICAN AUTHORS – Best Day Of My Life: 95.436 (- 1.416)
10. ED SHEERAN – Sing: 95.075 (- 0.090)

^^Isn't the second number the Change from the previous day?

PS: Guys have you thought up any fan Xscape campaigns? I was thinking for Michael's birthday I could send a box of Xscape to Michael's childhood school in California, but then I remembered that kids are not in school in August. Anyone has an idea for August that includes Xscape? We could make it a big exciting thing.

These numbers are the audience impressions. The first number (38 million) shows the AI up to date and the second number shows how much it has increased (or decreased) for the day. Hope that helps.

I thought Michael's numbers would be higher in Japan, since he went there a lot.

I thought album in Japan is just released a few days ago. Australian number 2 ? Is this the second week? First week was 3.
