would you like to see a biopic about Janet's life and career

they're talking about the uk, but it was still close enough to be certified gold, and I think it probably did cross the 100,000 by now.

I stand corrected:

196 * JACKSON*JANET #1'S - 2CD 3,272 2,688 22 119,130

From the 03/06/10 Billboard.

UK? I was referring to the US...I highly doubt #1 sold anywhere near 100K in the UK...when it barely cracked 119 in the US.

Now one has to wonder, were these poor figures worth throwing a dead sibling (who never uttered one bad word about her in the press) under the bus??

I agree.. Those numbers were not worth throwing poor MJ under the bus.

all over euope JJ is basically a total has been. known to be an average 90s singer and most importantly one of Michaels many relatives

Have zero interest. Never purchased her music. Never listened to any of her songs from beginning to end. Never googled her name. When i heard their duet SCREAM, felt extremely embarassed for her.

lol that was completely pointless cause it sold over 100,000 here , by the way as you can read I believe that's from it's around it's aorund 162,000 back in augusts 1st. not bad considering gh aren't huge sellers anymore, even madonna's gh is just around 200,000 something, here .

Yeah TwinklEE shes a bit of a has been now, but you could just say its because she doesn't promote herself here anymore, before last year she hadn't performed in the UK in like 5 years. But No.1's showed there is hope, kinda as its true it did sell 100 000 here in the UK and she did a minimal amount of promo for it here.
But in the 90's she was a bit more than average, she released 2 studio albums and she was the second most successful artist for that decade worldwide (according to billboard) behind Mariah who released a lot more albums.

Anyway we're way of topic here so I'm going to leave it at that :)

The Best went gold in the UK like in December. The label sent out an email about it.

are you referring to gold status as 100 000 copies? or 200 000? because if that is what the industry considers gold, then, the industry has truly changed over the years. because, not too long ago, gold status was considered to be 500 000 copies. so, if gold has changed and gone down that many coopies, then that says a lot about the industry.

100,000 is gold in the Uk (which I thought they were reffering too.)
