Church of La Toya will be giving away a signed, personalized copy of La Toya's new book, "Starting Over" in a competition this Friday. For those who don't yet use Twitter, now is the time to jump on the bandwagon.

To "enter" the competition, all one needs to do is retweet a specific tweet that will be posted on Friday. One lucky tweeter will win La Toya's highly-anticipated new memoir. We'll announce the winner late Friday evening.

We've now got over 500 Twitter followers and the number keeps climbing every day so now's the time to up the ante in regards to the prizes. We'll be meeting with La Toya next week, and she will sign (and personalize with the winner's name) the book. It should be mailed out at the beginning of the following week (when I get back from holiday).

To win the competition, you MUST follow Church of La Toya on Twitter. Click here to do so: http://twitter.com/#!/ChurchOfLaToya. The competition is only open to our followers. The winner will be notified via direct message on Twitter.

I'll post the address to the tweet for you all on Friday morning to make it easier! :D

Thanks for posting this. Do you know if she's going to add any more cities to her book tour?

Tell La Toya that she was awesome on Celebrity Apprentice!

The last I was told, there are a total of nine dates so far. Four have not been announced yet.

You know that you are flogging a dead horse, don't you?
This is OT for this thread, but why are you a fan of LaToya? Why? Is it because of her music career, acting career ,reality TV career or just because she is a Jackson?

Because LaToya is still a beautiful person, and people may be fans of whomever they choose. Don't come into a thread for people who like her and deliberately antagonize them. That's going against the rules of this part of the forum.

I really want to get my hands on a copy of her book, but I'm thinking it won't be sold over in Australia.

Indeed people may be fans of who ever they choose.I want to know why anyone is a fan of LaToya.I am not setting out to antagonise anybody. If the mods feel that I have done so , they can delete my post or revoke my posting and viewing privilages . IDC .And why should I not come into the thread and ask a question?

And by "flogging a dead horse" I meant her book. How many people are going to buy her book? She has not been on many people's radar over the years.

Lets get back on topic. If I went to a random thread about Michael on this forum and asked people why they were MJ fans it would be off-topic, so this is off-topic also.

Thank you. I'm so tired of MJ fans who are constantly looking for a way to get a dig in at La Toya's expense. Nothing will change their mind so I just wish they'd stay away from threads centered around La Toya.

I've offered to buy signed copies for friends all over the world so if you'd like the same, I'd be more than happy to help you out. :)

What has she survived?

Posing for Playboy with a snake between her legs. It takes courage...because I wouldn't have been able to go through with it even if they paid me a million bucks.

I was not having a dig at LaToya. I am asking why you are a fan.Are you the creator of the "Church of Latoya" website? Do you get to meet her often?
If I really wanted to have a dig at her I could have, but that is not why I am in this thread.

How much do they cost? My friend might be interested.

I'm not sure ATM, which is why I've told people to hold off on paying me. I'm assuming they'll be full list price ($26 USD) since it's at a signing, plus shipping.

Well, not starting any argument on here, but you do have to understand that some people will rightfully take your website's title and certain contents and visuals as a desecration of the holy. All the virtual pictures of LaToya placed in a virtual cathedral. Given that she is not a religious figure, nor a religious person (per her own admission, except that she believes in a God).. I personally don't care what your religion is, nor anything at all, because I don't know you personally, it's just that I do have to confess (freedom of speech) that such a.. yeah, blatant display you've created can be awfully offensive to some people. And it is. ..

Are you kidding me? LOL. There's no content or visual that perpetuates La Toya as a religious figure. Wow.

I think that picture in your signature is light hearted and funny. It doesn't look like you actually believe La Toya is a God of some sort.

No, I am not kidding you. You may be kidding us, though. Why does your website include the word 'church' and why is your above signature using that church background and that nun lady pointing to La Toya? The signature and the very name of your website contradicts what you're saying. Not that I'd think you consider her a holy figure per se, but an iconic person you still do, right?. Still, the church is supposed to be a holy building, not a fandom haven.

Anyway..

^Fine, you're right. We think she is a God. Can you move on now?

It's sad when someone takes life so seriously. :(

With all due respect, I would not read the book if it was given to me, frankly it would go straight into the rubbish bin. For me Laytoya has no credibility from when she betrayed Michael and I also think she has a very fertile imagination, she talks about knowing Michael was murdered and who did it, presumably we have to pay to read about who it was!

^If you researched it you would know that Jack Gordon forced her to speak out against Michael.
