Everyone knows it's a fake polll, as some have voted several times to Michael... It's not right to cheat.Although I'm pleased, Cheating is not playing.

o_O How is a fake poll? That's the way their voting system was on that site. Letting people vote over and over again. So what? MJ WON FAIR and Square!

Michael Jackson: The Greatest Singer Ever…Really?
By Priya ElanPosted on 21/06/11 at 04:27:43 pm

So Michael Jackson has topped our poll of the Greatest Singers Ever. Ever. Really?

Jackson’s pipes had some fine moments during his early career. ‘I Want You Back’, ‘I’ll Be There’ and ‘She’s Out Of My Life’ were all brilliant displays of youthful soulfulness and heart.

continued...

But it’s clear that for about 20 years towards the end of his career Michael Jackson’s voice was a parody of what it had formerly been. It had disappeared up its own backside, full of weird whoops, ghostly shrieking and so many vocal ticks that it deserved its own definition in the medical dictionary. Or, in fact, perhaps it did. I think it was called ‘Shamone-itis’.

Out of the list, my personal favourites are Kurt Cobain whose ghostly howl was profoundly affecting, like he was emoting every vowel...

...and David Bowie, who also sometimes pushed himself into parody, but whose best vocal performances lurch from cooingly gentle to matter-a-fact honest.

Here's the full Top 20, as voted by NME.COM users:

1. Michael Jackson
2. Freddie Mercury
3. Elvis Presley
4. Axl Rose
5. John Lennon
6. David Bowie
7. Robert Plant
8. Paul McCartney
9. Stevie Wonder
10. Aretha Franklin
11. Matt Bellamy
12. Ray Charles
13. Jim Morrison
14. Bob Marley
15. Elton John
16. Kurt Cobain
17. Steven Tyler
18. Mick Jagger
19. Marvin Gaye
20. Tina Turner

So you signed up to tell us the poll was a fake? Bitter Elvis fan, perhaps?

You are deluding yourself if you think fans of the other singers didn't do the same.

And you are telling me that others didn't vote multiple times for other artists?
Again, all I have to say to you is this (the same I said to the author of that article):
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. MJ won. End of story.

Comments like these are only from jealous people. It takes a good spirited person to say congrats to Michael Jackson on winning.

Well I'm glad we got him another award. So good to see that the MJ community can pull it together when needed. I'm proud to be part of it :)

This is very upsetting :(

But when reading the comments, there are a lot of fans defending Michael on that website, which is great :)

Yes it's right, but fans of others stars may be too old now to learn how to use computers properly.

Not "fake" but wrong .As I said above , some fans are not of the Internet generation, and some of these people even don't know how to use a computer. Michael had fans of all ages...Young people know very well how to use a computer unlike the seniors.
And,I do not like the word "fan", I am a passionate. As for Elvis, I know 5 songs at most and I do not even have a single CD at my house...I think only American and Japanese people are still big fans of Elvis today.

Comments like these are only from jealous people. It takes a good spirited person to say congrats to Michael Jackson on winning.

Yes,I am very jealous ^^ Regarding voting, I find it nice but unnecessary. Surveys have already been made when he was alive. He knew that his public, his fans loved him.

Excuses. Michael was 50 when he died. The fact he still attracts young people and new fans with his art only proves that his music is forever young.

It was an Internet poll, Michael won, get over it.

I can't believe there are people who are upset over this on a MICHAEL JACKSON FANSITE?

Get an ACTUAL GRIP.

P.S.

Congrats MJ.
