What? You stated that 5'8 was "too tall" for a FEMALE when there are two members of this board (so far, unless porfriend is a female) that are TALLER than you are. So, you can't really say that 5'8 is tall because it is not. 5'8 might be the "average" height for a man but that doesn't mean it is necessary tall for a female. There are females who are taller than 5'8 or even 6'0. Also, 5'8 would not be tall for a guy because there are guys who are 6'8, 6'10, even 7'1 like Shaq. Sometimes, it is not good to make generalizations. Just speak for you and not every female out there. No one is trying to get at you. Maybe if you would calm down and chill, you will be alright. Also, read every response before you make a generalization like that.

You must know how I feel ...or maybe not. It obviously doesn't seem to bother you, lol.

Well, I actually like being tall because I have learned to accept my height. I still have the cons like the name calling and the big feet. LOL. I hate the fact that I have big feet and the nice sneakers that I wanna get doesn't come in my size! LOL. I do not bother wearing heels. I do not even try to. I have tried wearing heels and it is not for me at all. I prefer flats. Wearing heels makes me even taller and I really do not want to be that tall.

I totally agree! I think I'm the smallest around here. I'm 4 feet 10 inches :yes:.
But I don't mind at all, my mum is a little bigger(5 feet) but still very small so it would have been weird if I was a giant. My mum can make all my pants shorter and the smallest size usually fits when I wear a belt:D.
The only thing I find annoying about being so small is finding shoes. I 've got very small feet ( when I was born, my feet were the same size as my mum's thumb:D) so it's almost impossible to find non-children shoes, I usually wear sportshoes :yes:.
And I've never been bullied with my size either because I can laugh with it myself.:tease:

Raisa I am exactly your height!!!!!!!! Yayy yes I am 4ft 10 inches hehe. I know exactly how you feel about the shoes. I am a size 5 in shoes, and it's such a hassle to find shoes, and pants that are perfect. I usually have to get stuff tailored. Other than that though i love being my height, it doesn't bother me too much. In fact I wouldn't have it any other way, I can hide, and escape through smaller places more than normal people can do. Besides, guys like shorter woman than taller ones.

That's so cool!!! I thought I'd be the shortest of the bunch:D now we're both the shortest :scratch::D. I don't buy tailored clothes, I'm not really into fashion, as long as it kinda fits and looks okay, I'm happy:D. I don't know which size shoes I need, I know I have size 34 here in Europe and women shoes start at size 35:smilerolleyes:. Another advantage is that I got free candy in the stores much longer then normally because they thought I was younger then I actually was!:yes:
 
You know we shrink as we get older, but I'm always gonna say I'm 5'10" :lol: :D

When i was 20 (23 now) I went to the doctor because I was sick, and well at the end of the visit the doctor was like I was about to ask you where your parents were. I thought you were 10 yrs old!!!!!!!! How insane is that?????

I am around 5"5 and I really cant remember when I last checked it was years ago and it was around that... so quite a shorty but not too short :lol: I wouldn't really want to be shorter than that but I wouldn't want to be tall either so I is happy with my height :D

Yeah i know what ya mean MJbabe, I wouldn't want to be any taller LOL. I am so used to being so short, that I get angry when I am not the shortest out of the bunch, cause it's like MY THING. I don't know if that makes sense or anything.
 
Ha, ha. You guys with small feet have the opposite problem I do. I have gigantic feet for a chick, lol. I wear like a size nine in MEN'S, lol. That's messed, huh? I actually tried to buy a pair of Puma racing shoes the other day with a women's design and the biggest size they had was one size too small for me, so I had to go with a men's shoe. But that's okay, I generally like men's shoes more then womens.

UGH! I hate shoe shopping! Nothing ever fits :angry: I end up getting blokes shoes as well. I bought a few pairs of converse sneakers etc when I was in the states last year, all men's size 10 :bugeyed

my problem is when I try to buy dress shoes or anything in heels, I just can't seem to get wide enough shoes... and then when they are wide enough they're too big and slip off the back of my heels when there's cold weather :lol:
and it's not like I can go and buy men's sizes in heels :lol:

... But thankfully, I don't have the big feet problem. I actually wear size 9 1/2... It's kinda disproportional, actually, lol.

They asked me if I wanted a balloon and a drawing a while ago in a store:D. I said 'No,thank you very much :D' LOL (I'm 18 now BTW).

I'm 5'1-1/2" (hey, don't laugh - when you are this short, every 1/2 inch counts ya know!! lol) and I wear a 7-1/2 shoe

You are lucky that you do not have a big feet issue..... lol. Dang. Well, my advice to you regarding your height is look at it in a positive way and try to focus on what you can do with the height. Now, as far as my shoe size..... it is bigger than yours. LOL.
