@ 144000 : I've heard the intro soooo many times, but never knew who did the song.
I agree, that is one helluva triumphant sound from the get-go, makes you wanna keep on listening.

Chocolate Factory - R.Kelly
This song is the 1st track off the album.
Been bumping the cd since 03 and the beat still got me excited about the song itself and the whole album. The song starts off strong and never loses the momentum. Real tight song.

Paris 1798430 - Tevin Campbell
Listen to him just killin it right from the beginning.
They say, sometimes you can tell if someone is a great vocalist with first some seconds of singing. As demanding as Prince can be as a producer, he must have given a thumbs-up when he hit that first note.
 
helena22, indeed..Prince's fingerprints are all over that Tevin Campbell song. and R.Kelly sure knows what a woman likes. all that chocolate in that vid. lol
 
Can you count Eruption by Van Halen as one giant intro/outro/inbetween-a-mathingy? lol

And you know the songs Prince wrote on the album give the whole album the hard edge.
Even without them, the album is still not teenage pop at all, but Prince gave him the kind of material that set him far from your average teenage stars singin bout puppy love.

Soon As I Get Home - Faith Evans
The kind of intro that, I think, made people go, "Who's this girl?!" at the time.
P.Diddy is not a great musician himself, but he def. had an eye for talent.
People still go wild when she hits those first notes doing her crazy runs and everything.
Me, personally, I can't do nothing else, just have to stop and listen when the song comes on and I've heard this song hundreds of times.

At about the ten minute mark are just under it, is where I get off the Autobahn. Up to about that point is the song with Intro and Outro that I am interested in. After that, I am unfamiliar with it, and it gets to be too long. I couldn't find the short version.
