:yes:Dear all long time members here.
I would like to say that I can understand why you would be a little vexed about new members such as myself having joined after Michael passed.
This site was for you a safe haven and a place to chat about and support Michael through his darkest times............and celebrate his life and all he gave us.......
June 25th and an invasion of new comers? Like me?
I have nothing to say in my defense. I have everything to say to YOU all.......long time members.................God Bless you all as you stood together in support of eachother......in your love for Michael.
I humbly say ''Here I am''...............This is it...........and you know what? The words of This is it song are like how I feel about Mike.............
I feel as if I've known him for a thousand years........
I feel so sad that I didnt join a fan site like this one before Mike died....:doh:
Please know that something unexplainable happened to me after MJ died......I fell in love with him...............I have enjoyed his music since J5......I was 15 when Thiller came onto MTV..............and can mark key milestones in my life with the release of his albums.............
Only I know how I feel about Michael............no none can take that away from me..........but please please accept me into your community, As I truely love Mike.........

Why didnt I join before he died? Why why? I am here now...........please be my friend...I want to learn from you and respect you so much.....:wub:

Exactly we've all been newbies at some point :) Every member is just as important in our MJ fan -family!

welcome to the family. to me, there is no differentiating between new and longtime members. MJ fans are beautiful people.and they are MJ fans..

I've been a fan for many years and have always defended Michael but I never felt the need to seek out other fans until last year either. I'm not sure what kind of fan that makes me, and I don't much care. I hope you feel accepted here before long :hug: I'd love to get to know you better

I really hope so too. We NEED the older members here as we have so much to learn from them.:agree:

When I think back to when I first joined here.......I have learnt so much about Michael and want to continue to learn more about him until the day I leave this planet!!
I remember watching the news when he was going through his trials.......I was praying for him that the truth would prevail.
I always knew he was innocent, and have loved him from the sidelines since I was at secondary school at aged 15yrs old!

As a long time member who hasnt left, I'd like to say
it doesnt matter when you came to MJJC.
You said it best Billie Jean09, "I'm here now." :) Thats it in a nutshell.
I was a fan loooooong before I joined the forum.
It's very hard for me to say, Oh, he/she is new to the forum....
treat them this way or that way. NO. Thats not what its about for me.

I believe members who had been around for so long and have now
left or pop in occassionally, have their reasons. Could be MJ related...maybe not.

You shouldn't feel the need to defend yourself. We have no right to judge you, if you didn't feel like joining a fanboard before june 25th thats yours decision. :)
I always feel so sad that ''new members'' always feel the need to defend their fanship, you always have people telling ''i didnt join a fanboard, but ive been a fan since thriller'', because they feel like they need to defend themselves to older members for being here.
In fact, it has nothing to do with how long a fan you have been. I couldn't care less if someone has been a fan for 10 years or for a week. If you love Mike with all of your heart and you are devoted to him, than I don't think how long you've been a fan should matter.

There are a lot of people overhere who've been fans since their childhood. I wasn't like that, but that doesn't makes me less a fan, because from the moment that I started listening to Michael I've been loving him with all of my heart and soul.

We've all been new members. I actually am not that long a member, compared to other people overhere. I've been on other boards before I joined this one and on every single board it would always go the same. When something special happened a lot of new members would join and people would always point their finger towards the newer members when something on the board would change in a negative way.

In the beginning a lot of us blamed the changing atmosphere on this board on the newer members, it has nothing to do wether you are a new member or an old member. It just has to do with the fact that there were so many different people all with different opinions joining on one particular time. The bickering has stopped, so I have nothing to complain about anymore.

Do I miss how things used to be overhere? Yes, but it has nothing to do with newer members, it just has to do with the fact that Michael isn't here in physical form with us anymore. The only thing I do pity, is that so many old members have left us. Even some mods left the board and that's a thing that makes me sad.

When I read the first post, I was wondering why this thread was created. I see from later posts it's because a lot of people have stopped visiting or don't visit as much as they used to. It's to be expected though. I just hope they are all right.
