Ticket Talk ONLY!!

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

actually if its 5 hours ahead it would be 1 pm right? but thanks :)
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! IT'S 1 AM.

please don't wait til the afternoon come the 11th or the 13th or you will be sorely dissappointed. Have your behind up at NIGHT after the clock strikes 12am the next day.

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

well,i hope so. but it has to be in fact. everyone casn be able to use this code, because they dont know me, that i have the code, so i ncan give it to others.
im talking about the www.michaeljacksonlive.com registrationm for the presale!! not the o2 actually =/

I received two registration emails and it said:

Registering for the presale is not a guarantee of tickets. General on sale starts 7am 13 March 2009. One unique code per email address or mobile number.

It makes me wonder if the p/w needs to match your email address you know..

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

Do you think 5 min after the selling starts there will be tix left?Because I never used ticketmaster and I need help. Can someone explain the fastest method to buy a tick.

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

I think everyone just needs to calm down now. Everything that everyone knows at the moment has been said in this thread. If we all wait until Monday I think well hear more information then. By the time it gets to next Friday I guarantee everyone will know all they need to know. Until then everyone might as well relax and just enjoy everything that's happening.:)

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

I also seriously don't understand why everyone is stressing that much!
There is aboslutely nothing we can do at this point!
Just wait 'til Monday and see if there is more information by then....

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

maximum 4 tickets per household for the pre sale right?

so if i wanted to order more 2 days later on general release could i purchase another 6 ?

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

Maybe, although I did read somewhere that it's 4 per billing address. Tbh I don't think anyone knows anything for certain.

I believe it does....same way as when you register for sites or whatever, your username or email has to match your password in order for you to log on.

I used two different emails so I may end up with 2. I got the confirmation email for one so didn't bother the check the other...altho I will after making this post.

The whole "UK residents only" only applies to text message alerts. Anyone can register for email alerts. Whether or not you'll be accepted is a whole different issue. I'm guessing it's done by random, after all, Ticketmaster or O2 don't care who buys tickets.

I hope this is the case. Otherwise I guess it'll be March 13th for me which may not be so bad since Friday the 13th seems to be a lucky day for me for some odd reason. lol :witch:

In any case, I'm already preparing myself to NOT end up with tickets. My hope is that they go fast so AEG will be assured people want to see MJ all over the world. And maybe those other places they mentioned will become a reality. MJ in New York would be a dream and much easier for me and other USA fans. So fingers crossed everything goes well regardless.

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

One Q....

for the presale and even the general sale...it's going to be 7 AM in LONDON right?
Which means for other people in other countries, it's gonna be a different time when the sale starts.
Like for example, for Canada...the sale will start at 2 AM right?

Yes 7 am is London time, you must calculate for your time zone

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

There HAS to be more expensive options than 75 pounds.. and that's what I want to buy. A ticket right at the front has gotta be more expensive hey?

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

I wanna ask something about the presale text number for the UK

I texted from my phone on thursday, and it can't have cost much, because I haven't checked my balance in a while. Last time I did it was at £15ish and I've made a bunch of calls and texts since, and now after the MJ text it's still at almost £13

Just now I went out and put £15 of credit on my mum's phone and texted from hers and the balance has gone from £15.66 down to £5.96... that's £10 of my money down the drain and I don't have any to spare to begin with

Did anyone else get charged this much for the text?

I only got charged 10p for the text. The text is only supposed to cost between 10-12p depending on what network you are on. It might be an error its worth chasing your network up to see if you can get the money back.

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

Ok, Prince & Madonna are NOT MJ.

My thing is, no matter how you do the math, if Mike's top ticket prices are $75/piece, then even with 20,000 seats, that's just 1.5 million a night (at best). Now, you factor in O2's fees, Mike's staff, the production crew, venue staff, etc. and you begin to wonder how much money Mike is actually getting from all of this. Not that I want him to gouge the fans, I'm just concerned about how he's planning to pull this off with a $75/ticket show.

I mean, I recently paid $80 to see a half baked performance on Valentine's day. I expect to pay more to see a bigger production.

These are just 10 dates (sure, there will be more), but how is Mike planning on pulling off a huge production with ticket prices so low?

Or is the invisible hand that made this happen setting Michael up to not make anything from this? Did Michael know his tickets would be sold for just $55/$65/$75 ??

But they are not in dollar they are in pound 75 pound is something around $106 and 65 is $92

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

Can we buy 4 tickets for 4 different concerts in pre sale or we just can buy 4 tickets for opening night ?

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

Its not entirely clear at the moment. My guess is that you are allowed 4 tickets for one concert only. I think it would be a bit unfair if people could buy 4 tickets for different concerts since there are so many fans who want to see him and have never had the opportunity before.

Thanks Wendy. I also thought so. I'll stop bugging my friends now with trying to get them to register :). I think they must be fed up with me stressing out by now lol.

As someone mentioned, it's in pounds, not US dollars.

Second, while tickets are surprisingly affordable and not high at all, there are not that many tiers, and all three tiers are towards the high end of the price. What I mean by that is that at many shows for large venues (12,000 plus seats), nosebleeds are sometimes only around $40 US dollars, give or take a bit. However, the cheapest here are $60+ US dollars.

Also, doing ten shows at one venue is going to drastically lower production costs.

Third, there's a lot more than ticket sales at play here. Why do you think cities are willing to spend incredible amounts of cash to host events in their cities? Because the payoff comes from the money people will spend by going to the event. Look at how many people solely on this site are going to try to go.

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

What time next Friday are we going to be able to buy tickets on EASTERN TIME in the US? Or CENTRAL?

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

I believe London's time is 6 hours before us in central time, and 5 hours ahead of eastern time. Meaning, if tickets go on sale at 7am on March 13, they will go on sale at 2am eastern time and 1am central time. Although with Daylight Saving Time, you might have to bump those numbers ahead, so it will be 3am eastern time and 2am central time.

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

Man i'm be really upset if i can't get tickets. I notice alot of times people who aren't even fans get tickets to events to sale them at a high price just to make money. I want real fans to be here. Not Fake Jakes. I'm throw myself off a high rise if my friends and i can't get tickets.
