Had to look this guy up, good voice. Record and release it mister Ryderi wonder if Sam Ryder is on this forum? would he work with the estate in the future ?nice clarity Sam!
yeah i feel the same (and i never usually rate anyone singing michaels art ) i meant , i wonder if hes one of us ? seems so , cause i think his rendition of Michael's dirty Diana excels . maybe the estate could work with a bunch of 21st century folk and Sam be one of them? we are the world, but in honour of Michael and just how united he made us through music and creativity ? just a thought.Had to look this guy up, good voice. Controversial opinion, but Iād love an album of covers from contemporary artists, similar to what Elton John did.yeah i feel the same (and i never usually rate anyone singing michaels art ) i meant , i wonder if hes one of us ? seems so , cause i think his rendition of Michael's dirty Diana excels . maybe the estate could work with a bunch of 21st century folk and Sam be one of them? we are the world, but in honour of Michael and just how united he made us through music and creativity ? just a thought.
Yeah that sounds workable. I agree with you.Controversial opinion, but Iād love an album of covers from contemporary artists, similar to what Elton John did.
That would be amazing. Elton John has done it classy and with huge succes. - I think the duet with Britney Spears reach #1 i Denmark - and many other countries. A modern version of a classic song made into a duet with a popular artist is a great way to make MJ relevant on the charts again and introduce him to new audiences and hopefully they will be intrigued and listen to MJ's original versions and MJ catalog.Controversial opinion, but Iād love an album of covers from contemporary artists, similar to what Elton John did.
Oh my god, please no!That would be amazing. Elton John has done it classy and with huge succes. - I think the duet with Britney Spears reach #1 i Denmark - and many other countries. I would love that. - Beyonce, Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Elton John, Shakira, Rhianna etc. could be great. - And of course Bruno Mars - maybe The Weekend.
For positive MJ news, I'd be all for it. I'd probably struggle to listen more than once though!Controversial opinion, but Iād love an album of covers from contemporary artists, similar to what Elton John did.

Unlikely to happen unless they just take his vocals and slap them over an unrelated instrumental again and have a modern artist on it for no reason. Could do without that personally.I don't care how or when or why but I would love it if somehow MJ gets to score a huge hit again.
Agreed. I felt like it cheapened the songs and took away something from them. Elton should have never done that imo. Anything to stay current I guess. Made me cringe first time I heard the song with Britney. Please donāt do that to MJ ever.Oh my god, please no!
Yeah, the āCold Heartā and āHold Me Closerā remixes are absolutely terrible.Agreed. I felt like it cheapened the songs and took away something from them. Elton should have never done that imo. i love the cold heart remix, its extremely popular.Yeah, the āCold Heartā and āHold Me Closerā remixes are absolutely terrible.
MJ's musical craftsmanship has the better DNA for modernization. People don't love the remixes and they're not all great, but never have I ever really thought they made MJ sound like some ancient fart from the past. He is the father of modern music essentially, he can take part in whatever he wants.Agreed. I felt like it cheapened the songs and took away something from them. But whoās to say what he want?MJ's musical craftsmanship has the better DNA for modernization. That's the double edged sword here. We will never know. We might like it, want it - and it sounds fantastical ..and it looks spectacular but, he might have never wanted it to sound/ go /be like that. But whoās to say what he want?
Who's to say he didn't want it. Or would care. But whoās to say what he want?
Film has to go and mention Metallica lol nooooooooI have a sneaky feeling MJ would love it if his music still got attention and rightly so. It is too snobbish to not let people use your music.
It is like Metallica, they refused for decades to have their songs show up on tv or film until they approved to use Master of Puppets for Stranger Things. It is an absolute win win situation. You get money and attention from a new audience.
Artists are always thinking they created something untouchable
I always thought the āMJ only did remixes because he had toā claim was bogus, even when it came directly from his mouth. His own actions contradict thatāreleasing them as single B-sides since as early as Thriller, pushing for the T25 remixes in lieu of album outtakes, etc. I wouldnāt call it reluctance as much as an outright willingness.MJ didn't like when his songs were remixed but he'd still do it reluctantly, T25 is the biggest proof of that. It's safe to say that if he was alive today he'd be collaborating with modern day artists seeing how that's what he did with singers/producers like Akon, Will.I.Am, RedOne, Kanye West in the 2000's and they were huge back then.
MJ and remixes for me are a integral duo. Some of the best moments I've had musically is rehearing his music in new ways and with new palettes. A lot of it is still fun, and still enduring.I always thought the āMJ only did remixes because he had toā claim was bogus, even when it came directly from his mouth.
