I see, so you do not like the lyrics. But what about the musically idea behind? You do not like the beatboxing etc.?
Anyway, this song reminds me a lot of another song. Especially the refrain, anyone can help?
They're available as digital downloads (lossless quality). The 2007 remasters are a blessing. Too bad that the first 2 Jacksons albums were only released in Japan
I bet that is Michael sampling the vinyl of the original song and putting new instruments over it since it’s a demo.Yup. I suspect the very same thing
I’m going to play the devils advocate here and say it really depends on the source. Even the best mastering in the world cannot do much with a 40 year old cassette tape, especially if it already has been mixed and stored poorly (I’m referring to the toy) in the same way that the best video remastering cannot save a 25 year old vhs cassette. It all boils down do the sources of these demos. I’m starting to think that they dont have the multitracks for a lot of his songs. Not really what is being talked about here, a demo can be extremely rough (like Love Never Felt So Good, as an extreme example) and still sound good with proper mastering
My friend you weren't kidding. WowFam, this is one of the best posthumous songs I have ever heard from MJ. I’m just floored. What.a.song.
Don’t get your hopes up. It shouldn’t be that big of a difference. It’s not a 64kps leakIf anyone gets CD early - please let us all know how the sound quality compares.
That's how it went for every album, he made beautiful sweet songs and then shelved them for hard edged vocal takes. With a few exceptions. My friend you weren't kidding. Wow
How was this song in the vault for 13 years and then put on this release?
I love MJ's discography but I just wish he did more songs in this style later in his career, because he had such a phenomenal voice. I got goosebumps listening to this, it gets better with every listen. Beautiful track
So my decision not to order the album but to buy it in stores on Friday was a good decisionGets even worse. Some fans have spoken to Amazon who've said their estimated delivery is the 21st for hard copies, so fans will get them the 22nd at the earliest.
This has to be a joke..
they would never do such thing. What the hell happened to the multitracks for the songs? Did they transfer them, or did they go "nope, too expensive" and opted for the worst sources imaginable?
I am your toy, I am your boyThe Toy- Isn't this virtually the exact same vocals as Best of Joy, with the word Toy being replaced? Was Best of Joy really 80's vocals? I'm confused by this one...
Do you think his 2010 mix will ever leak?Yeah, that's how Mark Ronson described it, it's an apt comparison.
How a few words can make a song soooo much better! So good to hear the evolution of this one.I am your toy, I am your boy
I am the moonlight, you are the spring
Our life's a secret thing
vs.
I am your joy, your best of joy
I am the moonlight, you are the spring
Our life's a sacred thing

I adore “Who Do You Know”. Even if the other three songs were not up to par, I’m happy because I got to listen to “Who Do You Know.”
I especially love the ad-lib “Can you tell me which way did she go?” which I can already see is gonna get stuck in my head.
Totally agree.Who Do You Know is one of those songs I wouldn’t be surprised to see revisited by the estate in the future. They’ll give it to someone to finish.
