The ‘YAY I JUST HEARD MICHAEL ON THE RADIO’ Thread

Last weekend I went out to breakfast. I was having a heavy conversation and I started crying. I was very upset. Shortly after I started crying, Smooth Criminal came on the radio in the restaurant. Instantly it made me smile and it helped me feel so much better right away!

Then, a few days ago, I stopped at a store on the way home from work. I was in a dark headspace. I was walking around just generally feeling kind of down and sad. But then, within 5 minutes of entering the store, Beat It came on the store radio. Instantly my mood was lifted and I was singing along while shopping.

I swear, Michael has my back in this life. He's always showing up and making me feel better :love:

OH, I'm so sorry. That is so hard. Relationships ending is a unique kind of pain because it's so universal and yet no one can understand exactly what you're going through either. I feel for you. I hope it gets easier soon. Let MJ be your comfort ❤️

Thank you. It feels like the right call. But, I'll miss them. I'll think about the Good Times. I guess that's a song right there lol.

I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus (Jackson 5)

not Mike but yesterday, the Troop remake of All I Do Is Think Of You (original by Jackson 5) was on the radio. Also the Johnny Gill version of Give Love On Christmas Day
 
Not exactly radio but “I want you back” is featured as the cbs prime time “theme” to I guess promote the shows returning after the strike
 
Not the radio, but at an ice hockey match this week they played Bad as somebody walked to the sin-bin. Don't think they've ever played it before.

I guess it must really annoy the staff having to hear those songs 10 times every day.
 
I checked and 3 different stations played Santa Clause is coming to town, I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause (twice) and even Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer got a spin in the last 7 days
 
They play MJ's songs on the radio stations where I live and even in the local supermarket. DJ's still play "Don't Stop TIll You Get Enough" whenever they're Emceeing a party.

Side note: funny how people dance the electric slide to that song and not the actual Electric Slide song sometimes. LOL
 
a remix of Rock With You. I had never heard it before, it was only Mike's lead vocal (no backgrounds) with just an acoustic guitar and no other instruments. Like it was for MTV Unplugged or something. It didn't sound like it, but the remix had a similar kind of vibe as the George Michael song Heal The Pain.
