The offical wrestling thread..News, spoilers and results.

apparently TNA has been calling RVD a lot recently too, if they snap him up they wouldnt need Kennedy or Umaga. I dont know if RVD would sign with TNA though, hes had so long to do it why now and ruin chances of ever going back to WWE?

Apparently TNA see $$ signs when it comes to Umaga vs Samoa Joe.

Also there are rumours that Batista actually failed a drug test and has been suspended.

Batista's Surgery A Success, Injured TNA Star Returning Early
By Michael Bluth

-- Jeremy Borash has updated his Twitter page (Twitter.com/JeremyBorash) stating: Today doctors cleared Shawn Hernandez of L.A.X. to return to the ring. He recently underwent successful neck surgery. That's great news. Hernandez' medical clearance comes far sooner than previously expected.

-- WWE.com posted the following this afternoon regarding Batista's injury status:

Batista has undergone surgery for injuries sustained during The Legacy's attack on Raw. The Animal's torn left biceps has been successfully reattached and he is expected to return to active competition in four months.

As previously reported, Batista's WWE Championship has been vacated and a new champion will be crowned on RAW in a 4-way match between John Cena, Randy Orton, Big Show and Triple H.

Update On Batista's WWE Contract, Umaga Rejecting Offers Posted in: WWE News on Jun 10, 2009 - 3:29:02 PM

-- If you recall, Batista took part in a few interviews during a media tour of the UK last month stating he had roughly a year left on his current contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. "The Animal" added he was contemplating retiring when his contract expires. Considering WWE.com is reporting that he will be out at least four months following biceps surgery, the time he misses away from the ring will be tacked onto his current deal.

WWE contracts are set in a way that it gives the company the right to add the amount of time a wrestler misses due to injury to the endof their contracts. For instance, should Batista miss six months of action while recovering from the surgery, company officials have the right to add six months to his contract. {source: prowrestling.NET}

Major Update On Vickie Guerrero's WWE Departure Posted in: WWE News on Jun 9, 2009 - 11:53:20 PM

Regarding Vickie Guerrero's decision to legitimately quit World Wrestling Entertainment, for the record, she handed in her notice to the company about a month ago.

Coincidentally, or perhaps not so coincidentally, this is right around the time they started having Santino(a) Marella direct various pig-related insults towards her on television. While there were a few light-hearted jokes concerning Guerrero's physical appearance here and there throughout her near three-year tenure in the company, she was never treated this harshly up until a few weeks ago.

The insults towards Vickie hit a boiling point on Monday night, with her "husband" Edge completely running her down in the middle of the ring. Vickie Guerrero had no complaints about the segment on RAW this week to write her out of storylines and thought it was great.

Vickie had gotten rave reviews throughout her WWE career, especially since she came into the role as a housewife with no acting experience. She was a favorite of WWE management and was easily one of the most over heels in the company.

WWE Expected To Announce Drug Suspensions Soon
Postesource: www.f4wonline.comd in: WWE News on Jun 9, 2009 - 11:59:57 PM

As reported earlier, the WWE creative team has already been given a list of wrestlers not to write ideas for as they will be unavailable for the foreseeable future, starting with next Monday's three-hour episode of Raw. Dave Meltzer said in today's Wrestling Observer Radio show that the company will indeed be suspending some main roster talent within the next few days. Drug testing took place at shows over the weekend, in addition to yesterday's Raw.

Further confirming that some suspensions will be taking place is that it is standard company protocol for head officials to inform creative that certain performers will not be available for the foreseeable future. This fact was publicly disclosed by World Wrestling Entertainment in Henry Waxman's report concerning steroids in professional wrestling released this past January.

Although, there is a lot of skepticism among many in WWE these days in regards to how the company is handling drug test violations. Since the fall of 2007, the official policy on drug test failures has been to publicly announce all failures no matter what, but internally, some believe the company isn't completely abiding by its own set of rules.

For instance, of the four confirmed developmental releases within the past two days (Lupe Viscara, Jon Cutler, Dakota "Maverick" Darsow and Kafu), two were reportedly let go as a result of drug test failures. It is rather peculiar that WWE officials opted against publicly outing the violators when it is company policy to do so.

Early last year, WWE announced the suspensions of developmental wrestlers Derrick Neikirk and Neil "Chet the Jet" Bzibziak, releasing them shortly thereafter. In this new case, the company appears to be circumventing its own set of rules by quietly releasing talent so more unwanted negative attention isn't drawn to WWE concerning drug use amongst its wrestlers — especially due to little known minor league talent when the company is adamantly trying to clean up its image. Had they not terminated the violators in question, they would have had no choice but to publicly announce their respective suspensions, hence the quiet releases, which apparently is WWE's new way of getting around the policy.

*SPOILERS* SmackDown Tapings Results (6/12)

List Of Past Wellness Violations By Current WWE Stars
Posted in: WWE News on Jun 10, 2009 - 2:12:32 PM

As reported earlier, World Wrestling Entertainment is expected to announce some talent suspensions as a result of various Talent Wellness Program violations within the next few days. On Monday prior to Raw, the WWE creative team was given a list of talent not to write plans for as they will be unavailable for the foreseeable future, starting with next week's three-hour "3-For-All" broadcast. This directive is only done when talent is on the verge of being suspended as it's standard company protocol.

As most of you know, WWE's Talent Wellness Program has a "three strike" rule in place, with the first violation resulting in a 30-day suspension; the second violation resulting in a 60-day suspension; and a third such violation resulting in automatic termination from the company.

Here is how the current WWE talent roster stacks as it relates to publicly known Talent Wellness Program violations. There could very well be more current WWE wrestlers sitting on Wellness Policy strikes as a number of suspensions have fallen under the radar, but this is all that's publicly known.

Raw

» Chavo Guerrero is reportedly sitting on two strikes. On August 30, 2007, he was suspended — reportedly for 60 days — for receiving pharmaceuticals not in compliance with WWE's Talent Wellness Program. He received, among other drugs, somatropin, nandrolone and anastrozole between April 2005 and May 2006. His apparent prior suspension remains unclear.

» Drew Hankinson, a/k/a Festus, is sitting on one strike. In October or November 2006, while in developmental, he was quietly suspended for 30 days for his first violation of the company's drug testing policy.

Randy Orton is sitting on one strike. In August 2006, he was quietly suspended for 30 days for his first violation of the company's drug testing policy — reportedly due to a drug test failure. Starting in September 2004 through February 2007, Orton received somatropin, nandrolone and stanozolol. In August 2007, company officials reasoned that Orton had already served his punishment due to his drug policy violation from the prior year — thus he was not suspended. However, Orton continued receiving pharmaceuticals through February 2007 — well past the date of his initial drug test failure.

» Darren Matthews, a/k/a William Regal, is sitting on two strikes. On August 30, 2007, he was suspended for 30 days for receiving pharmaceuticals not in compliance with WWE's Talent Wellness Program. Between November 2004 and November 2006, he received stanozolol, somatropin, genotropin, and anastrozole. On May 20, 2008, he was suspended for 60 days for his second violation of the company's drug testing policy.

SmackDown

» Charlie Haas is sitting on one strike. On August 30, 2007, he was suspended for 30 days for receiving pharmaceuticals not in compliance with WWE's Talent Wellness Program. He was prescribed anastrozole, somatropin, stanozolol, nandrolone and chorionic gonadotropin between August 2006 and January 2007.

Nick Nemeth, a/k/a Dolph Ziggler, is sitting on one strike. On October 10, 2008, he was suspended for 30 days for his first violation of the company's drug resting policy.

» Adam Copeland, a/k/a Edge, is sitting on one strike. On August 30, 2007, he was suspended for 30 days for receiving pharmaceuticals not in compliance with WWE's Talent Wellness Program. He received somatropin, genotropin (both HGH), and stanozolol between September 2004 and February 2007.

» Jeff Hardy is sitting on two strikes. In July 2007, he was quietly suspended for 30 days for his first violation of the company's drug testing policy. On March 11, 2008, he was suspended for 60 days for his second violation of the company's drug testing policy.

» James Yun, a/k/a Jimmy Wang Yang, is sitting on one strike. On June 9, 2008, he was suspended for 30 days for his first violation of the company's drug testing policy.

» John Hennigan, a/k/a John Morrison, is sitting on one strike. On August 30, 2007, he was suspended for 30 days for receiving pharmaceuticals not in compliance with WWE's Talent Wellness Program. Between June 2006 and February 2007 he was prescribed somatropin, anastrozole, testosterone, stanozolol and chorionic gonadotropin, a hormone produced naturally during pregnancy. (HCG is taken by anabolic steroid users to stimulate the production of testosterone, which is suppressed as a result of steroid use.)

Shoichi Funaki, a/k/a Kung Fu Naki, is sitting on one strike. On August 30, 2007, he was suspended for 30 days for receiving pharmaceuticals not in compliance with WWE's Talent Wellness Program. He received somatropin in March 2006.

ECW

» Harry Smith, a/k/a David Hart Smith, is sitting on one strike. On November 2, 2007, he was suspended for 30 days for his first violation of the company's drug testing policy — reportedly due to a drug test failure while in developmental.

» Gregory Helms is sitting on one strike. On August 30, 2007, he was suspended for 30 days for receiving pharmaceuticals not in compliance with WWE's Talent Wellness Program. Between November 2003 and February 2007, he received, among other drugs, testosterone, genotropin (HGH) and nandrolone.

Developmental

» Ryan Reeves, a/k/a Ryback, is sitting on one strike. In July 2006, while in developmental, he was quietly suspended for 30 days for his first violation of the company's drug testing policy. WWE released Reeves on January 19, 2007, but re-signed him in the fall of 2008, making him the first talent with a Wellness Program strike to return to the company after being let go.

Notes

* Dave Meltzer reported in his Wrestling Observer newsletter early this year when Congress' investigation of steroids in professional wrestling broke out that a suspension was issued in April 2008. Peculiarly, there is no record of WWE announcing a suspension during that particular month.

* According to the Waxman report, at least a few suspensions completely fell under the radar in the months leading up to the Signature Pharmacy scandal in August 2007. Suspensions were quietly issued in late November, early December 2006; early to mid May 2007; late April, early May 2007; mid May 2007; and late August, early September 2007.

News On Who Will Be The Next RAW General Manager
Posted in: WWE News on Jun 10, 2009 - 7:58:43 AM

On Monday's RAW, we saw what may be Vickie Guerrero's resign as the Generla Manager of RAW in what may have been her final appearance on WWE television.

According to sources within WWE, as of Tuesday afternoon, nothing has been officially decided regarding the next RAW GM.

One name that's come up for the position is Ric Flair. Coincidentally, next weeks show takes place from the heart of Flair Country in in Charlotte, North Carolina. Flair has re-signed or is on the verge of re-signing with World Wrestling Entertainment. WWE still does not want him wrestling, so the GM position would be a perfect way to get Flair, a proven ratings draw, back on television each week.

WWE Confirms Batista's Injury: He'll Miss 4 Months
Posted in: WWE News on Jun 9, 2009 - 1:48:31 PM

World Wrestling Entertainment has confirmed that Batista is injured and will undergo surgery this week. WWE.com writes:

Less than 48 hours after capturing the WWE Championship for the first time in his career, Batista has suffered a completely torn left bicep requiring surgery that will keep him out of action for at least four months.

WWE ran an angle on Raw where Legacy beat down the WWE Champ, injuring his arm. The injury is actually a torn tendon (not a "complete tear"), so Batista will likely be back sooner than 4 months.

With Batista on the sidelines for several months, he will likely drop the WWE title soon, perhaps as early as next week's 3-hour Raw
.

We do know that Rey Mysterio was not at this weeks TV. There was a rumor going around at RAW that he gave notice to WWE. Mysterio is still on the lineups for the weekend house shows as of right now. THIS IS A RUMOR AND NOT CONFIRMED!!

Breaking News: Umaga Fails Drug Test & Refuses Rehab
Reported by: Ryan Clark Updated on June 11, 2009 10:45 AM EST More Headlines: » WWE Replacing Lilian Garcia? - Searching For New Announcer » CM Punk's Heel Turn?, Ricky Steamboat Returning?, Regal » Michael Cole's Job On Thin Ice?, Backstage Christian News » RAW Is 'Boring'?, WWE Ticked At 'Net Leaks Again, JBL, More » Rey Mysterio & WWE Parting Ways?, Umaga, Kennedy, Vickie » Injured TNA Star Gets Great News, Bound For Glory Location » Report: ROH Officially Suspends PPVs + The ECW Rating Is In WWE.com posted the following this morning regarding the release of Umaga earlier this week:

As reported on WWE.com on Monday, June 8, 2009, WWE Superstar Umaga (Edward Fatu) has been released from his World Wrestling Entertainment contract.

However, consistent with the practice of announcing wellness policy violations, it should be noted that Umaga's termination was due to his second violation of the WWE Wellness Program and his subsequent refusal to attend a rehabilitation facility.

Last night's edition of ECW on Sci-Fi scored a 1.2 cable rating.

ROH has opted to not continue their PPV deal with producer G-Funk Entertainment, a decision made several months back, and will finish their PPV run on Friday, June 12th with the Take No Prisoners PPV. ROH originally debuted on PPV in July of 2007 with the Respect is Earned PPV.

The word from inside the company is that they are "suspending" PPV operations. With ROH's new deal with HDNet, they could return to PPV down the line, with HDNet as the producer of the PPV's. The suspension of PPV tapings was not a surprise to ROH talent, since there were no tapings for PPV announced. The feeling is that the weekly TV show is more important to the future of the company.

Michael Cole's Job On Thin Ice?, Backstage Christian News
-- It was very noticeable to those within the company that Vince McMahon put a serious muzzle on Michael Cole during RAW on Monday. There were periods of time where Cole barely got a full sentence in for periods of almost five minutes at a time. This was a call made by Vince McMahon, who is not a big fan of Cole’s. The feeling within the company is that Cole’s performance has been suffering so much because he’s gun shy that Vince will chew him out and embarrass him over doing little things. Vince was yelling in the headset during the opening segment of RAW for Lawler to do all of the speaking when Batista was getting beat down, and wanted them to call him Dave as opposed to Batista.

With WWE currently recruiting new announcers, there is more than one source within the company who wouldn’t be surprised if Cole gets demoted.

-- There are quite a few people within WWE who have been vocal about feeling that Christian is arguably the most under-utilized talent under contract

WWE Replacing Lilian Garcia? It would appear that World Wrestling Entertainment is looking to replace Lilian Garcia as the ring announcer of Monday Night Raw. The following was issued to talent agencies today:

WWE Announcer/Singer / Female / All Ethnicities / 20 - 30

Description: WWE is looking for a young, attractive female to sing the national anthem and be our regular ring announcer every week, for one of our most popular TV shows (WWE is estimated to be seen in 500,000,000 households in 150 countries/30 languages)...

This is a breakout job for any young singer. Please specify on submissions if anyone has appeared on American Idol, making the Band or any show of this comparison.

Rate:depends on talent

Breaking news: Lilian Garcia quits Moday night RAW.
Apparently Lilian had an agurement with Vince

Before Raw went on the air.

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Prior to his release this past Monday, Umaga, as late as a week ago, was still being groomed for a program with Undertaker for his eventual return to the ring.

WWE had plans to do an Undertaker vs. Umaga program for about a year, but injuries to both men constantly delayed it. A little over a month after being drafted to SmackDown, Umaga suffered a torn PCL at a live event on August 2nd. Upon his return to action in late January, Undertaker was getting geared for a huge WrestleMania angle with Shawn Michaels, once again delaying a possible program. Directly following WrestleMania, Taker was placed on the inactive list as a result of knee surgery, derailing plans once again.

As far as Undertaker is concerned, he is expected to be off crutches in the middle of July. It's being said that it will be a "photo finish" for him to return at SummerSlam.

Jim Ross has posted his latest blog entry at www.jrsbarbq.com. Here are some of the most notable things he wrote:

When Undertaker will return: Communicated with The Undertaker recently who is anxious to return to the ring sooner than later. I don't have a return date but there is no doubt in my mind that the future Hall of Famer will be back in a WWE ring by summer's end or early autumn. "They" don't make 'em like the "Demon of Death Valley" any more folks and for those that continue to send us questions regarding a 'Taker retirement be advised that they are still be deleted because there's nothing to that rumor.

Batista's surgery: Dr. Jim Andrews, as I understand it, in Birmingham, Alabama performed the surgery to repair a major injury to Dave Batista's biceps. The Animal will be out at least 4 months and perhaps closer to 6. Bad break for a good guy but no one has to worry about how hard Batista will work to come back and be 100%. Nor will Dave be "lonely" one has to assume. Perhaps Nurse Slobberknockers will be available. Sponge bath any one??

Latest WWE Legends Roundtables: "The WWE 24/7 Legends Roundtable went well as Michael Hayes, WWE HOF'ers Sgt. Slaughter, Pat Patterson, Mean Gene Okerlund, and me discussed how patriotism and nationalism have been utilized in wrestling. On the second show we discussed "Giants," as in size, of wrestling. We were all asked to name our favorite "Giant" and I did not name Andre but others obviously did. We also discussed how the term "Giant" has changed over the years considering that men like 6'7" Killer Kowalski and Don Leo Jonathan were considered legit "Giants" back in the 50's and in the pre-Andre days. Sarge had some awesome stories to tell about meeting President Reagan in the White House and President Nixon on an airplane. Plus, the death threats Sarge received after becoming an Iraq sympathizer was freakish and the steps that had to be taken to keep Slaughter safe were eye opening."

Lilian Garcia's future in WWE: Lots of questions regarding WWE seeking a female, ring announcer/singer. This doesn't mean that Lilian Garcia is going any where but media company's like WWE are never NOT looking for new announce talents. I do not know what Lilian's long term professional or personal goals are but I have not heard any thing but good things about her work. We all know she can damn sure sing. Who knows, perhaps Lil is looking to cut back on her road schedule. She's in Prague as I write this.

Is WWE Covering Up Batista's Injury For A Wellness Violation?
By Daniel Pena
source: www.f4wonline.com

This past weekend, some people within World Wrestling Entertainment leaked a story to PWInsider.com saying Batista had suffered a biceps tear. Their story was later changed to a torn tendon in his left biceps and that it was not a full fledged muscle tear. The webmaster of his official website, www.Demon-Wrestling.com, soon acknowledged his injury, confirming it as a torn tendon.

The webmaster wrote: "We originally thought Dave had a torn muscle (he's been hurt for around 2-3 weeks), but this has now been confirmed as a torn tendon."

However, the official WWE website would say differently.

According to their report concerning Batista's injury, he suffered a completely torn left biceps requiring surgery that will keep him out of action for at least four months — not a torn tendon.

A full fledged muscle tear is much more serious than a tendon tear, so something's clearly not adding up. If he did indeed suffer a torn tendon like his official website is saying, the amount of ring time he would miss would be considerably less.

Among some of the wrestlers, there has been plenty of skepticism over the true severity of his injury. The injury supposedly occurred over three weeks ago, but he had been working television, pay-per-views, and live events without any sort of tape on his arm whatsoever, let alone showing any signs of an injury. If the biceps tear was serious, and people within WWE are claiming it was serious enough for him to get surgery two days after his championship victory, it would certainly have been taped up. If the injury was not serious enough to require tape, one would think there would be no need for surgery.

Even partially torn biceps injuries are taped up, but considering WWE is saying he suffered a full fledged muscle tear, it makes the severity of his injury all the more suspicious.

At Monday's Raw in Lafayette‎, the wrestlers were told his injury was legitimate and he was having surgery the next day. However, the talk among wrestlers in the locker room is that his injury angle on Raw was a cover-up to have him avoid being suspended due to a violation of the company's drug testing policy.

For what it's worth, Monday's show was re-written several times during the day and the creative team was given a list of wrestlers not to use for the foreseeable future prior to show time as a result of drug testing held earlier in the day and at shows over the weekend.

WWE covering up a drug test failure with an injury would certainly be a major change of philosophy on how they handle their drug testing policy, and while things appear fishy, right now there is no concrete evidence indicating that has happened.

WWE Drug Suspensions Expected To Occur, Vickie Guerrero's Departure, FCW

Posted by PWPIX on 06/09/2009
source: www.f4wonline.com

-- As reported earlier, the WWE creative team has already been given a list of wrestlers not to write ideas for as they will be unavailable for the foreseeable future, starting with next Monday's three-hour episode of Raw.

-- Regarding Vickie Guerrero's decision to legitimately quit World Wrestling Entertainment, for the record, she handed in her notice to the company about a month ago.

-- The term "FCW Universe" is now being used amongst commentators Josh Mathews and Dusty Rhodes during developmental's weekly Florida Championship Wrestling television show. The move was apparently sudden as a few weeks ago during a show, there were about a half-dozen or so references to the term when it had never been used before.

Divas Read Message Boards?, Lilian Discusses Heel Turn
By Daniel Pena
Jun 11, 2009 - 6:57:13 PM

-- On her Twitter account, SmackDown Diva Maria was asked if she and her fellow Divas read what the fans write on wrestling message boards. Based on her response, they do, specifically bringing up the numerous "who will WWE fire this year" threads.

Maria wrote: "I am sooo glad people think that we divas do not read the horrible things people put on the forums!! Who gets fired this year?? Sooooo mean!"

-- Lilian Garcia has responded to some fans' questions in a blog post on her MySpace page. She answers questions regarding her three favorite musicians, her best and worst subject in school, her initial reaction to her first action figure, what she would do if she was granted three wishes, and much more.

Considering she's played a babyface throughout her entire tenure in WWE, Lilian was asked if she's ever had interest in playing a heel.

"I think it would definitely be fun to play a heel," Lilian wrote. "I have taken lots of acting classes in my life so I would have to concentrate and apply my acting lessons to the role because in real life I love to be happy and friendly."

You can read her responses to numerous questions here.

Termination From WWE Similar To Another Past Firing
By Daniel Pena
Jun 11, 2009 - 2:41:01 PM

World Wrestling Entertainment's
announcement today saying Eddie Fatu (a/k/a Umaga) had been released from his contract for his second violation of the company's Wellness Program and his subsequent refusal to attend a rehabilitation facility is quite similar to a past termination the company made a few years ago.

After showing up late for several WWE events and demonstrating a deterioration in his in-ring performance, Jeff Hardy's last match during his prior stint in the company was on March 24, 2003. Hardy soon failed a drug test and after refusing to go into drug rehabilitation, he was subsequently fired from the company.

When Jeff Hardy re-signed with World Wrestling Entertainment in August 2006, WWE.com noted in their article regarding his return to the company that his demise during his prior stint was as a result of a "poisonous drug dependency."

"He was plagued by an addiction to pain killers and methamphetamine (crystal meth), a highly addictive stimulant," WWE.com wrote.

The WWE website later spoke with Hardy to get his thoughts on what led to his demise during his prior stint in the company. Talking honestly about his release from WWE in 2003, at the time, Jeff said he wasn't as focused on where he's been, but rather, where he's going.

"I didn't need [rehab]," Jeff told WWE.com adamantly. "When I was released from WWE, it wasn't just about demons or demonic metaphors that relate to drug use. I failed numerous drug tests because I just didn't care...didn't care to wrestle anymore. A sense of me believes that it might have just been a way out [of wrestling]," he added. "That's in the past, and that's forgotten about. I'm in a positive place now...and that's what motivates me."

Interestingly, the initial article regarding his return to the company was quickly altered to remove the references to his addiction for pain killers and crystal meth.

The original article read: "For this unique athlete, it has been a turbulent, arduous road back to WWE. In 2003, just as Hardy began to make his ascent to the top of World Wrestling Entertainment, he came crashing down as a result of a poisonous drug dependency. He was plagued by an addiction to pain killers and methamphetamine (crystal meth), a highly addictive stimulant. After showing up late for several WWE events and demonstrating a deterioration in his in-ring performance, Hardy's last match in WWE was on March 24, 2003. In May of that year, Hardy failed a drug test and after refusing to go into drug rehabilitation, he was subsequently fired from WWE."

It was later changed to: "For this unique athlete, it has been a turbulent, arduous road back to WWE. In 2003, just as Hardy began to make his ascent to the top of World Wrestling Entertainment, he came crashing down, reportedly because of a drug dependency. After showing up late for several WWE events and demonstrating a deterioration in his in-ring performance, Hardy's last match in WWE was on March 24, 2003. In May of that year, after refusing to go into drug rehabilitation, Hardy was subsequently released from WWE."

In another interesting and very possible similarity, there is a good chance Umaga will wind up in TNA Wrestling like Hardy did following his drug-related termination from WWE as there is said to be interest in "The Samoan Bulldozer." Umaga has history with the promotion as he made a few appearances for TNA in late 2003 following his initial release from WWE a few months prior.

From Tara (Victoria)'s official MySpage page:

Response to a Vicious Lie
I try not to respond to rumors. It’s a lose-lose situation. If you don’t respond, it seems like you may be avoiding the rumor because it is true. If you deny it, you are bringing more attention to a lie. Well, in this case I’m gonna respond. A MySpace friend emailed me yesterday to let me know that a wrestling gossip website is claiming that they have an anonymous source or sources that say I was Chris Benoit’s secret mistress at the time of his murder-suicide. First let me say, this is absolutely false. I invite the “reporter” from that website to come to my home city, and I will submit myself to a polygraph. If this website is at all concerned with the truth, they should jump at the opportunity. But frankly, I think they are just concerned about sensational headlines, and couldn’t care less about the facts behind it.

And the timing sure is conspicuous.Years after the event, but hours before my TNA wrestling debut. Could it be that a certain wrestling organization is concerned about what kind of impact that I will make in TNA? And what kind of coward would make such a powerful claim, and hide in the shadows of anonymity. Come forward. Legitimize your claim.

I have made every effort to move on and take the high road. The worst thing that I have said is that I wanted a different role. Believe me, in nine years with that organization, I have been aware of behavior so deviant that it would shock the devil himself. But as the old saying goes, the only thing certain about a mudslinging contest is that everyone gets dirty.

And finally, let me say this. To spread a lie like this hurts the survivors of a tragedy that already have gone through immeasurable suffering. Although it doesn’t excuse his behavior, studies on Chris Benoit’s brain after his death showed severe damage from years of wrestling-related injuries. That, mixed with mood and hormone altering drugs led to a horrible outcome. Before that, as we all have heard, he was very dedicated to his family. Don’t drag these victims and their families through vicious lies for the sake of attempting to take the wind out of my sails.

Again, I think the website that first posted this should feel obligated to come out here and polygraph me. Stand by your story.

But in the end, all you’ve done is hurt some innocent people with lies, and frankly, pissed me off, and motivated me to make TNA as good a product as I can.

Jim Cornette has a feature on his official website, www.JimCornette.com, where fans can ask him his take on any subject. He admits to being "politically incorrect."

Anyway, when asked who he feels is the most overrated wrestler of the past and today, he feels overrated is not the correct term, instead opting for "overpushed."

Cornette said, "Who has been pushed on a major league basis way more than their talent or attitude should have dictated?"

For the past, he names Ultimate Warrior and Sable, proceeding to go on a rant on both of them. For the present, he says Triple H.

Cornette wrote: "For the present, let's go with Hunter Hearst Helmsley-McMahon. Actually, he's a very good worker and studies the business. His promos are usually as exciting as a coma and last longer than this recession, but he has good matches. Problem is, as hard as he's been crammed down people's throats for the past 10 years, he should have surpassed Hogan, Austin, and Rock, but HHH is what is called in the business "the guy that works with the guy that draws money." He should be in there to have a good match and put the star over. Actually, he should have been fired in 1996 when he s**t on the entire sport with the infamous "curtain call" at MSG, but Vince, the guy with "balls of steel", let HHH piss in his face and not only didn't do anything about it, but let him marry his daughter! And a sledgehammer? Jesus Christ, I wish he'd hit me in the head with it before he starts talking on TV. HHH will be the top guy in the WWE until he looks like Dick the Bruiser in his final days working an Indiana county fair show, and if THAT'S not overrated, I don't know what is."

The June 22nd edition of WWE RAW will be a historic broadcast for World Wrestling Entertainment. For the first time ever in the show's 16 year history, RAW will air without any commercial breaks. No word on whether the show will feature alternative product placement to make up for the lost advertising revenue, but it should be interesting to see how this change affects viewership. The commercial-free show will take place from Green Bay, WI and will be the final RAW before The Bash on the 28th.
Former WWE champ Batista's official website at www.demon-wrestling.com has issued the following update on The Animal:

"Dave's surgery went well Tuesday to repair his tendon. He's back in Tampa now recovering."

Also, since a few people have asked. Batista did not suffer a torn biceps as WWE is reporting on their website. That was the initial fear, but it turned out to be a torn tendon, not the actual muscle. The WWE storyline, which is being reported on their website, is remaining the torn muscle in order to make Legacy's attack seem more fierce.

does anyone know why last nights wrestling was exactly the same as last mondays?

I watched Slamaversary, gotta admit, Im gonna watch Impact for the first time ever, with WWE being so shit, TNA could switch me, hopefully. I want a better wrestling product and if I gotta turn my back on WWE to get that, I will. WWE is the shits, and Im not complaining as a loyal viewer who will watch no matter what, after that Trump pish they put on Raw, the "flagship" show, I wont be watching for a while. So as a loyal WWE viewer, Im gonna give the competition a try. :)

, Backstage Reaction To Raw Rating
By Brad Ingles
Jun 24, 2009 - 4:36:19 PM

- There is still no official word on when Shawn Michaels will be returning to WWE television. He was banged up after his WrestleMania

match, and has been at home recovering. Michaels told the company he wanted time off to be with his family, but people within the company want him back sooner than later.

- WWE management is ecstatic with the surprisingly high Raw rating. The general belief for the high rating was the curiosity over what Donald Trump would do with the brand. They feel the commercial-free aspect had less to do with the ratings rise than Trump. Expect to see more of Trump if he is willing to do more wrestling appearances.
