Thriller has been selling really well over the past two months. It's constantly in the top 100 albums sales chart. It definitely must have sold more than it did in 2018, at this stage. I think a 34X certification isn't too far away.

Worth noting that Thriller is consistently outselling the Eagles' GH on a weekly basis.
And track sales and streamings from The Essential, which is also performing very well, count towards Thriller as far as certifications go

Maybe someday Thriller will be certfied higher than the Eagles Greatest Hits again.
 
Thriller should be way higher , I remember it had hundreds of millions of views before MJ died but then it was reset back to zero. By rights Thriller should be well over a billion.

The more I research the more I starting to believe so.

BTW, there is no way that Eagles would have outsold Michael had the RIAA not allowed, in the mid 1990s, to count sales from music clubs into certifications.
The Eagles clearly benefitted from this new rule more than Michael did.

I have started the campaign 8 days ago to get this video to over
1 000 000 000 views as an answer to the actual situation with LN. It find more and more supporters on YouTube.
The video is now near to reach 580 000 000 views.
On Febuary 15 it had 575.613.693 views.

TDCAU will eventually reach 1,000,000,000 views on youtube but it will probably take another 2.5-3 years at least.

Happy to see the stupid "doc" has not ruined MJ's sales or streams.
 
^Any affect the documentary will have on sales and streams will be reflected on next weeks charts. I&#8217;m curious to see how this flopumentary will impact Michael&#8217;s sales and streams. Michael usually has at least two albums charting each week on the US charts. Will that change next week? Will we see MJ completely disappear from the US charts? Or will we see a rise in the charts for MJ? Will we see more MJ albums on the charts? I&#8217;m extreme curious and can&#8217;t wait for next weeks charts.
 
I have just noticed that on ITUNES
albums are up in several countries USA, UK, NEW ZEALAND, AUSTRALIA, DENMARK, CANADA...

In NEW ZEALAND, Number ones is at #2
 
MJ's albums are surging in sales on both streaming and Itunes apparently. In the UK I-Tunes MJ has FIVE albums charting, three in the US he has three, Canada has two albums charting. And in New Zealand his NUMBER ONES has surged to #2.

This is not surprising as MJ fans are campaigning to buy his records again. This is only a temporary effect. I doubt this doc will make people want to rush to a store to buy MJ music so I conclude those sales are purely coming from fans.
