I like Michael's hat better. And Bill's hat. :)

@Agonum

I don’t know why they brawl, I guess it is regular weekend activity in bars, soldiers are macho and some locals probably want to challenge them for a good fight when drunk.

@Fuzball

It is not a parody, what you see is 100% truth. There is more, one of our military trucks broke down on the parade as well, needing repairs on the spot. 🤣

What happened?
I suppose the question should rather be “what did not happen?” To which the answer is: sleep.

However, all isn’t lost! I watched the entire mini-series (eight episodes) 𝖱 ɪ ᴘ ʟ ᴇ ʏ (starring Andrew Scott) and enjoyed it quite a bit! I think Mr Scott is a very good actor, you see.

Andrew Scott, proud Irishman.

He was also brilliant in the role of Jim Moriarty in BBC’s Sherlock (2010; starring Benedict Cumberbatch – another gifted actor).

Just seemed so obvious.

fonster - Swedish for window

fenestra - Latin for window

fenestration - the arrangement and design of windows in a building

There's something very jolly going on here. :)
Is that how you use the word fenestration? I thought it was about throwing somebody out of a window?

It’s really interesting, the links between languages. And I seem to recall that your ‘window’ is from Old Norse ‘vindauga’ (eye of the wind; Swedish ‘vindöga’)!

Seriously? I have no idea. Never heard of that. I only know the 'window design' thing. It's a bit of an old-fashioned word these days but it's lodged in my brain from way back.

I didn't know about this but I just found out there's a window / door fitting company called Vindauga. The company logo incorporates a Viking helmet, lol. :D
