The Wendi family.
Oh my!
@zinniabooklover I'm very happy to see you around. Though of course I miss your great and informative posts. I'll just patiently trust that it will still happen))))))
To keep the positive vibes going
I really hope you get much better soon @hopeI'm, uh, calm, just a little sick. The wet and rainy weather is doing its job (((( I already want frost ❄ and sun☀
The colours are soothing to me as well as that beautiful writing thereCurrently trying to distract my tired brain from hideous stress.
Interesting picture. The one where I understand phrases individually, but can't grasp the main point)))) or the meaning in listing individual actions. Learn the alphabet and read for hours? That's how scripts in any language are hacked. The only thing missing is grammar, you'll have to learn that too. InterestingCurrently trying to distract my tired brain from hideous stress.
It's just supposed to be a cheerful way to learn how to write the letters and recognise them. The book came out in 2019. I got on OK for the first 3 or 4 chapters and then it all fell apart and I abandoned it. Yesterday I decided to have another go which is insane bc I am beyond exhausted and anxious but apparently my brain thinks this is a good idea.Interesting picture. Understanding. I've tried simple ways to learn English, but they don't work if you don't work on and understand grammar. For example, I can often translate all the words in a message, but I can't understand the general meaning of the message. It turns out that the grammar of Russian and English is very different. If you translate English verbatim into Russian, you get some nonsense. But I'm almost ready to learn English seriously. It's just supposed to be a cheerful way to learn how to write the letters and recognise them. The book came out in 2019. We shall see!
Fair point. When I did languages at school we were taught the 'old-fashioned' way which has been abandoned and which I think is possibly a mistake. Grammar does matter. It's there for a reason.Understanding. I've tried simple ways to learn English, but they don't work if you don't work on and understand grammar. [...]
Some simple and fun techniques can help for vocabulary building. But otherwise it still requires a lot of work)))).Fair point.
