"Two centuries ago, windmills were common on the Cape to grind corn and run saltworks. Now, some wonder, what's the big deal?
... windmills were the workhorses that hauled water for the region's huge salt industry."

"St Monans Windmill is one of the most striking images along the East Neuk stretch of the Fife Coastal Path. Less than a mile from St Monans, this beautifully-restored windmill and its giant salt pans are the last vestiges of an industry which once brought employment and a degree of prosperity to the Fife coast."

Um, physical rehab following your back surgery ... visiting saltworks ... yes, yes, I can see the link between the two. :ROFLMAO:

I'm just joshing, bluemoon. Don't mind me. I actually loved the photo. I love industrial landscapes.

Lmaooo! Yesss, the saltworks is in the same town of Bad Rothenfelde which also is a sanatory for lung health.

I still have to visit this! For now I am waddling through the shallow rehab pool, doing silly movements an instructor shows us. To "build all the small muscles in the back"
