If I ever do get an amber necklace mine will not have dead insects in it. I get the whole 'fossilised' thing but I'm not having it. No siree! As a kid, I was COMPLETELY fascinated by displays of insects petrified in amber!! So awesome!
It can feel weirdly plasticky, can't it? I don't think it would ever be one that I would love for its texture. A lot of my crystals - which are mostly cheap tumble stones - are loved by me just for the texture alone. I have a lot of unpolished ones which I prefer. Also, as a kid, I doubted amber was real valuable because it feels like and is light like a lump of molten plastic. lol
No offence but I never bought that crap. The fkr just fkd off, I doubt it's 'gone' to someone who needed it more.
Mm, maybe this is why the fkr fkd off. Don't like pomegranates, don't like January. It's not going well, is it?
I do love my red jaspers. I've got a few.
Same!I think I've got something from all the colour categories.
good grief! That was intense!Talking about amber reminded me of this place.
zin @zinniabooklover posted peridot and love that stone !What's so special about liking it Really didn't get it)))))
that will be it ! you know me well zin !I think she's just getting over-excited, tbh.
Ah! Thanx for confirming !yes, I have a box of pink sequins!
ah ...haha i get itI had a dream (probably as a result of spending all night stitching those sequins!)
I love that . ha ! @Hiker you were ok the other night ? ...that I have Michael's glove and it is supposed to have stones or gems or something but mine had sequins!

Yes, most of my gems I bought for the shape and / or colour. I've got some chunky ones but nothing ginormous. The colors and shapes attract me the most.
I've always lived in cities so 'self-found' = found 'em in the woo woo shop.Mine are mostly cheap and "self found".
That's so nice. All of mine come from shops or museums but I do love them even though they annoy me intensely, lol. Funnily enough I can remember which shop I bought each one from even where I have several the same. Some really do remember me of my childhood or the places where I found them.
Ah, feldspar, that's another one I don't have. Some of the best memories are when we found some feldspar (Feldspat)
I have some pyrite which I adore. Pyrite is so cool.or even pyrite glimmer hidden in a plain looking stone.

omigosh! That is one awesome word. I love it. I need to use that somewhere, somehow!A German word for it is "Katzengold" = cats gold
See, I've got enough to be able to do this sort of thing but I just can't be arsed. I never know where to put them and am I supposed to dust them and am I supposed to pay attention to them or are they going to sulk? I don't like ornaments and I don't like 'things'. I like to bond with my gems just by handling them every now and then and then putting them away. I don't seem to want them on display. But this is really beautiful. I like photos of mandalas but I don't want to do them. I'm not very artistic, really. It's probably that.
I had a Herkimer diamond and lost the fkr.
Lapis Lazuli is probably my favourite gem stone! Love them polished and unpolished
I think I've only got one piece of lapis. I need to go and check, lol. Beautiful colour. Mine is smooth rather than polished.Lapis Lazuli is probably my favourite gem stone! Love them polished and unpolished
