oh sorry. St Paul's cathedral in the City of London. Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer got married there.

Ohhhhhh Well it's defiantly a good place to get married at! Especially for royalty!

Well, not really. They got divorced.

Most royal weddings (and funerals) take place at Westminster Abbey - which is a much nicer cathedral, imo. Actually, strictly speaking, Westminster Abbey isn't a cathedral. It's an abbey church and a Royal Peculiar but it functions as a cathedral. St Paul's is much bigger, though, and since Charles was the heir to the throne at the time they had to invite half the world to the wedding. When Prince William got married in 2011 that wedding took place at Westminster Abbey bc William was only 2nd in line to the throne.

Be glad you live in a republic, lol. :D

How do you know all of this stuff??

ok maybe the not best place to get married
As an historical building, St Paul's is fine. The whispering gallery is fine. As a place of worship I'm not convinced. It's huge. Like an aircraft hangar. Westminster Abbey, bc it was a church for the monks, is smaller and has a warmer atmosphere.

St Paul's is a striking building, though. The dome - that photo I posted - dominates the skyline.

Traditional harvest festival altar display at a Catholic church in Germany (caption didn't say which church).

I know it's not my convo but ... The Temptations. One of Tamla's most successful groups. Lead singer in this photo is David Ruffin (guy with glasses). He was replaced by Dennis Edwards.

If I'm telling you stuff you already know, apologies, but:

Temps with David Ruffin - My Girl, I Wish It Would Rain, Get Ready, I'm Losing You
with Dennis Edwards - Just My Imagination, Cloud Nine, Ball of Confusion, Psychedelic Shack, Can't Get Next To You

@zinniabooklover ah lol are that the temptations, it’s embarrassing I didn’t know
It’s kind of stupid cause I love their music
That's why I got confused bc I know you like them and know their songs.

yet I don’t know what they look like.
Well, it's easy for me bc I grew up with them. Even from David Ruffin days although I prefer Dennis Edwards.

I never saw them perform 😃
I never saw them live, only on tv doing those legendary dance routines, lol. And the clothes they wore in the early 70's. :D

I wish you all understood Dutch, this song goes straight to the heart and tears you apart
