I am wide awake now! 🤤 But I am not going to say anything about that soft and shiny fabric and all the stitching. Must have been some project to stitch that outfit. 🤤
Well, I did initially want to post my fave jacket. But then I thought, 'why not honour the stitching project?' Clearly very important to Michael, lol. But, anyway, I've caved in, to the surprise of absolutely no-one. :D

Here you go, have something to read. I've just bought this book, I'm just dipping into it atm but I'm loving what I've seen so far. No idea if Vikings are your thing but I wouldn't have said they were my thing, either, but I am looking forward to getting into this.

shieldmaidens = female warriors, apparently. :)

"This book started with driftwood on a beach ... At its close is the final battle and the end of the cosmos , the Nordic apocalypse - the Ragnarok. Wolves will swallow the sun and moon, the white-hot stars will sink into the sea and shroud the world in steam, the powers of the night will pour through a hole in the sky, and the gods will march to war for the last time."

(P.28 - Neil Price, 'The Children of Ash & Elm: a history of the Vikings)
ooo this is intreating! And I'm actually really interested in Vikings party because my dad is Norwegian )

oh, that's so cool. I was just looking at the Intro earlier:

"What does 'Viking' actually mean? Should it be used at all, and if so, how? ... The exact derivation of the term is unknown, but the most widely accepted interpretation today builds on the Old Norse vik, a bay of the sea. Thus Vikings may originally have been 'bay-people', their ships waiting in concealment to strike at passing marine traffic. Another alternative links the term to the Viken region of south-western Norway, from which the earliest raiders were once believed to have come; this too may have some validity."
(P.7-8)

Don't worry, though, I'm not going to bombard you with endless quotes from the book. In any case, I haven't even started reading it properly. I was just testing the waters. The author is an archaeologist but some bits I've looked at are quite poetic, the way he writes. So I'm happy about that. :)

I really want to share a pleasant experience))))) Today I saw an amazing moon. It was much larger than usual, golden in color. It was so bright that while I was walking I kept looking at it. I unfortunately missed the blue big Moon on August 31, but today the Moon is beautiful too. 😍😍😍

ooh, sounds like you caught the first night of the September 2023 supermoon which is the last one we'll get this year. It should be full tomorrow. The September full moon is the harvest moon. I love that name.

"Just in case anyone tries this, rules for Billboard Hot 100 for legacy artists (re Thriller)#1 - Thriller must have a "meaningful" reason to chart, like a viral trend on Tik Tok, part of a current movie soundtrack, or the week of Halloween.#2 - 3 factors to chart: Pure sales, streaming, radio play.#3 - Only US counts. If you're looking for International fans to help, then target the Billboard Global 200. For this chart, most international sales and streams count, and radio play is not factored in."

Today at work we were discussing the moon, my many coworkers paid attention to it. Some said that the moonlight was blue and cold. I personally didn't notice anything like that. Today I will also have an opportunity to enjoy its beauty))))))
