can you play the flute?
I wish! I started to learn viola at school at the same time as I was beginning to grow my nails. I wasn't using nail polish - too young! - but I was growing them and was quite taken with this new thing. After a few weeks the music teacher more or less said it was my nails or the viola so I chose my nails. :ROFLMAO:

And I was using my fingernails to play some of my records so it made perfect sense to me. I was scratching records way before those New York dudes got started. Ha!

Joan Blondell - my favourite blonde.

Very short overview of her Hollywood career.

"Classic Hollywood’s consummate scene-stealing sidekick, Joan Blondell enjoyed a successful screen career for nearly five decades, but it was during the anything-goes era of the early 1930s—when dames, gold diggers, and good-time girls were cinematic staples—that she reached her zenith. Her vivacious energy and wisecracking persona were perfectly suited to the punchy, fast-paced style of her home studio, Warner Bros., and no matter the genre she exuded an irresistible, naughty-but-nice irreverence that was pure pre-Code."
