but the ending is filmed so eloquent i have never seen that type of ending before in a western. A freeze-frame.

IRL I don't know. Never checked out her story. In the film, I assume she just went home. Whether she'd be able to go back to working as a teacher ... 🤷‍♀️

In the film or in RL, it's hard to know. Would the school want her back? Was she a deluded idiot, in thrall to a couple of toxic baddies? Or was she just ballsy and fed-up with the limited, constrained life women were forced to live? I haven't given it any thought, tbh. I just take the film at face value. They deliberately went for a 'good buddy' feel and made it as entertaining as possible and I'm fine with that. I've got enough reality in RL, don't need it in my films, also.

But one of the best films i have ever seen.

The ending is brilliant. I mean, the ending of the story is heart-wrenching. But the ending of the film is beautiful, clever, inspired, unexpected (when you first see it), very artistic. And also kind. Let's spell it out for you but let's sort of draw a veil over it at the same time. We're not hiding the truth from you but let's not wallow in explicit stuff.

It is ambiguous and excellent and the ending is eloquent. this , is perfect.

I'm off to bed - although it feels almost pointless at this stage. Anyway, I just posted Katy B on the listening thread. Not the one that jumped into my head (5am) but my top fave. I think her career fizzled out which is a shame. She was good.

Katy B was around 10 years ago. She might still be, for all I know. I don't exactly keep up but I get the feeling that things have fizzled out for her. 'Crying For No Reason' is my top fave. '5am' is great, I love it so much. 'Katy On A Mission', that's the other one I like. Haven't listened to too much else, tbh.

You know , just before i logged off here ...lol [ me pulling that all nighter was ridiculous! i forgot how cool it was to stay up that late:ROFLMAO: & how much it hurts the next day haha ] i googled her, and i recognised her vaguely. I think she worked with British rapper tinie tempah & i know she was around with the likes or Miss Dynamite etc I was into Cascarda and Ellie Golding was popular. Thank you for the vid i will have a snout
