Hi...............

Had a long talk with a friend yesterday, and it got me thinking........and I remembered this poem that I just wanted to share with you all:

If I had my life to live over,
I'd try to make more mistakes next time.
I would relax, I would limber up,
I'd be sillier than I have been on this trip.
I would take fewer things seriously.
I would be less hygienic.
I would take more chances.
I would take more trips.
I would climb more mountains, swim more rivers, and watch more sunsets.
I would burn more gasoline.
I would eat more ice cream and less beans.
I would have more actual troubles and fewer imaginary ones.

You see,
I'm one of those people who lives sensibly and sanely
hour after hour, day after day.
Oh, I've had my moments and if I had my life to live over,
I'd have more of them.
In fact, I'd have nothing else.
Just moments, one after another, instead of living so many years ahead each day.
I've been one of those people who never goes anywhere without a thermometer,
a hot water bottle, a rain coat and a parachute.
If I had my life to live over,
I'd go places and do things and travel lighter than I have.

If I had my life to live over I would start barefoot earlier in the spring
and stay that way later in the fall.
I would play hooky more.
I wouldn't make such good grades, except by accident.
I'd ride more merry-go-rounds.
I'd pick more daisies."

Its commonly known as a poem written by Nadine Starr, age 85- but many claim that its been written by someone else- an unknown writer. There are a few different versions that exist.
Point is- sometimes we tend to forget ( at least I do) that life is happening right here and now. Its so easy to get cought up in either the past or the future. I guess that I just started to think that if people ( including myself) just took time to breath a little more, to do silly things and enjoy life more without too great expectations- accept all the imperfections that life brings ( and the boring days) lit would be good- both for ourself and the people around us?
Part of me thinking about this, is the fact that its getting pretty hectic and competitive in my class, and sometimes I just feel like handing out chill-pills to everyone.........

And this place is a great place to get relaxed........thanks to all for crating a place to come and "catch my breath"................

Edit: Bye Poe, enjoy dinner! :)
