The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

Other info, I was also able to speak with a music producer:

The producer Fresh S. Myrick II (Aka Shelby Lee II Myrick) and his song SEDUCTION recorded at ASCAP in 2003 at the same time as "Pressure" and "The Pain"

He said he never met MJ. He confides that he did send a song called “Seduction” to the former label MJJ Productions. He was contacted by someone from his management team and told that he might record the song, but he never heard back after that. He heard rumors that his song was to be released but he didn't hear MJ's rendition of the song. He also added that a number of fans have already contacted him about the song. But, he says, like many of MJ's songs, Sony has locked down his material. His song is an Up Tempo in the vein of “Billie Jean”.
Nice info. Man

Seeing how it's a song from the 2000's and how little MJ recorded at that time I say it's very much likeky that the song remained as a writer's demo. An "Up-tempo Billie Jean" seems like such an interesting concept.

Thank you for this new info!

A writer's demo already complete while waiting for MJ's singing. This remains in line with what MJ was doing during the Invincible sessions.

I unfortunately think that not all writer's songs recorded in the ASCAP repertoire are necessarily recorded by MJ. It says "Michael Jackson" as the performer, but maybe that just means he was intended to be the performer...

It's best to ask people that were working with him to know more about it

That's strange. Given how Pressure and The Pain list Rodney Jerkins as a co-songwriter, I'd assume that it was recorded between 1999-2001 and was only copyrighted in 2003 in preperation for The Ultimate Collection. Unless Jerkins was still doing stuff with MJ even after Invincible.

He most likely wasn’t. The last song the two worked on together was Threatened.

I’m really confused about which unreleased track is being discussed. I guess the title of the thread is misleading.

Go to your mom's to feed you I don't talk with tiny kids
You sure you don't ? I'd say your reading comprehension is about the same level.

This thread is a catch-all. The discussion is for any unreleased tracks.

I'm pretty sure there weren't any thoughts of TUC in 2003. Mike was just working on songs for a new studio album.

As per that reports, at that time he backed out from the collaboration because the news got leaked. But Smooth Radio report mentioned that the King of Pop had to back out as he was unavailable. Hence, their second possible collab for If I Told You That song also didn’t happen.

According to "All The Songs". I think the first reason is more likely.
MJ walking out of a project because there is (already) some publicity doesn't seem like a thing for him though

“If I Told You That”- the duet by Whitney Houston and George Michael was originally written for Michael Jackson and Whitney. In this post, Rodney Jerkins says that a Michael Jackson soundalike recorded the first demo of the song.
Too bad he didn't record this song. She is nice.
Otherwise, I searched the Whitney Houston forums for the supposed song "Days Of The Broken Hearted" and no info. They think it's just a rumor...
