The Cascio Tracks Have Been REMOVED!!!

If you search in iTunes on your iPhone, the three Cascio tracks still pop up as ringtones. Including the cover art of the Michael album. (I never understood why someone would pay € 1,29 for a 30 second clip, by the way.)

So apart from the tracks still being available on The Ultimate Fan Extras Collection, they are also still sold as ringtones. (You won't find them in iTunes on your computer, they only pop up on your iPhone.)

(At least, in the Dutch iTunes Store. Might be different in other countries.)

I really hope The Estate removes the songs from The Ultimate Fan Extras Collection.

BUT - that collection is quite expensieve, so I doubt many buys it. - The most important thing was no doubt to get the songs removed from the Michael album. - But it would be nice once and for all get these 3 songs totally removed entirely from MJ's discography.

I think some fans are mistaken when they blame SONY for everything. - Even MJ was actually more angry at Mottola than SONY I believe. When Mottola was removed MJ went back and worked with SONY.

SONY is as business, they wanna make money - and as many as possible. They do not make money sabotaging one of their greatest catalog artists... So no! SONY had absolutely no reason or interest in releasing fake songs - quite the contrary.

AND - as many has pointed out - The Estate chooses the songs and then hands them over to SONY to release them and marketing etc.
SONY can and should not be blamed. That's just ignorant and stupid IMO...

I am still very happy and exited that the tracks are now finally removed. I think we should all focus more on that than stick to a 12-year old problem that is now finally solved. Let's move on an celebrate and enjoy these amazing 7 songs.
ok so tell mre why wont they release the unreleased tracks

I believe they care. They have to, look at what they are entagled in because of this? fan backlash, negative press, legal battles all leading them to do something unprecedented by removing the songs from the album.
They are still making lots of money. The way they talk to fans I doubt they care at all. They even managed to make them removing the songs into lecturing the fanbase lol.

SONY?? - They can not do that. The Estate owns the songs?? - So that is impossible to blame SONY. The Estate picks the songs and hands them over to SONY to release and marketing, promote etc.

And will The Estate release unreleased tracks?? Of course they will..?? - But it would not be a very smart move seen from a business point of view, to release all the remaining unreleased songs within the first 15 years after MJ died. - They have a business - MJ - they want to last for the next 100 years if possible. And that is only possible if the release something once in a while to keep MJ relevant - and since there is apparently not many finished, releasable songs in the vault, they have to spread out the releases even more. - I was very surprised we got so many new songs on BAD25. - In my opinion they should have saved some of those songs and released them, not on an anniversary album, but on a new album like Michael and Xscape.

Price of Fame was wasted on an anniversary album noone outside the fan-circles know of IMO.

So don't worry - The Estate will release the songs, concerts - and whatever they have in good time. - And they will sure take their time.

BUT...

This is not a thread about either The Estate or SONY - this is a thread about the happy news, that the 3 fake songs are now effectively removed.

So let's stay focused on that and celebrate :) - I listen to Hollywood Tonight at work right now. :)

It is my belief that this attitude they're using is to save face. They are a big enterprise and cannot show any weakness or even wrong doing on their part. It's a normal thing when it comes to big enterprises. I don't believe they will ever admit to any wrong doing on their part but think about it. They supposedly sent those tracks to forensic experts and now they are battling a court case pertaining to the veracity of those tracks. All that cost money and for what? Three songs that aren't even good that they could replace with any other songs. They would have made money regardless if those songs were on Michael or not. One could even make the case that they would have made more money without those songs

I truly believe that if they could go back in time and not release those songs they would do it. As they say, hindsight is 20/20

I hope we will soon learn more about those projects they do not want these songs to take focus off.

I wonder if this is temporary and after their projects are out they'll put the songs back.

Maybe it'll be T40 along with a HWT release. Everything's possible when the EState is involved.o_O

They will never do that. - Holy cow that would start WW3 among fans...

Also in iTunes the Michael album is released again as a 7-track album, so I deleted the original and bought the album again.

They would never ever do so much and then after a year or two put the fake songs back on the album.

Also - I think, though I know they can't say and they will never be allowed to say so, but I think they do now at this point that the vocals are not MJ. And J3 was vocal back when the album was first released, that it was not their dad singing. And since they are now (a little) in control, they will never ever allow these fake vocals to be released as MJ again.

I think there is a difference between genuinely caring and regretting that you did what you did because it didn't work out the way you wanted it to. They knew the songs weren't MJ when they released them.

The Ultimate Fan Extras Collection has now been removed from itunes.

Edited to add that “Michae” is now available on the official MJ store (at least in the US) as a 7 track cd.

can't find it.. can you post a link?

i am confused. so there are 12 cascio tracks, 3 have been released on "Michael", the rest is unreleased or only snippets leaked?

And ALL 12 are supposed to be fake? Or only the 3 released? Or dont we really know?
