Murray is a cardiologist ( heart doctor) of course he should know how to do CPR.His problem is arrogance. He knew MJ was dead so he put on a half-ass show to 'act' like he was trying to save MJ's life. He knew MJ was already dead

Dr. Conrad Murray's lawyers have subpoenaed Sony for the raw footage from the "This Is It" rehearsals to show the jury ... Michael Jackson was a physical and mental mess before he died ... TMZ has learned.

We've learned Murray's lawyers want the tapes to show Jackson was slow, lethargic and weak in the days prior to his death. Although some of the video shows an alert MJ, other portions, we're told, clearly show something is wrong with the singer.

Murray's lawyers want to show jurors in the manslaughter case ... Michael was ill or even dying before the fateful morning ... so it wasn't really the June 25 Propofol injections that killed MJ.

Now this is just stupid. People don't die from being a mental wreck. And to say he was ill is even more stupid because his doctor was on the phone saying he was fine while he should have been watching him. And to say he was dying already well you better come up with a cause of death that has nothing to do with propofol.

Exactly... If he was ill and dying already, Murray should've noticed correct? Murray was telling everybody including insurance companies that MJ was fine and healthy

Also if they are going to show him in distress in rehearsal before he died and he had a full time physician, you might think his doctor would have stepped in and had his patient hospitalized .instead of giving him anesthesia...i dont follow their logic

So murray wants people to see that mj was already weak and vulnerable before murray recklessly gave him sedatives and anaesthesia? And that will help murray how? Bizarre behaviour from murray.

I don't see how this helps Murray. in fact it makes him look more guilty as it shows that Murray was providing MJ with sub-standard care. A good doctor would have brought MJ to the hospital or resigned all together.

MORE GRASPING AT STRAWS!

I mean, your patient is a "physical and mental mess." On top of that, your patient is "slow, lethargic and weak." So what do you do to alleviate those symptoms. You go to your patient's home and give him a LETHAL dose of dipravan. Yeah, that's the ticket!

Just like everyone else says this would make him look even more guilty.u were his dr yet didnt do anything to help someone who according to u was already dieing.infact u did the total opposite.telling ortega to mind his own and that mj was fine! Jury selection is nxt week so no doubt another delay if this is true.guess we will see at the hearing

Exactly.. Murray has no defense and he knows it..

If MJ was slow, lethargic and weak Murray should've been getting him to a hospital and not pumping him full of propofol and sedatives. What kind of defense are they aiming for?

Aside from this being an admission of guilt [knowing he was "ill" and injecting him anyway], it's stupid because anyone being given Propofol in place of sleep for 6 weeks straight (is that still his story?) is bound to be slow, lethargic, and weak! It's ridiculous (and sinful) to say this proves that he was dying! All it proves is that he was tired. =(

Yep, that are doctors these days... If you "admit" your pain... They are NOT gonna help you to find the cause and they are NOT gonna heal you... NOPE, they'll push you further into the ditch...
Anyway, That is soooo STUPID... If it means Michael was already ILL... I HOPE the jury has a 'clear' mind to ask WHY Michael was so ill as he claimed and that with a doc that 'supposed' to CARE for him...
Strange kind of logic indeed...

well after reading through this thread and all of your posts..I have to agree,,,Murray is digging his own whole deeper if he goes with this story..making himself look even more incompetent that he already looks. He is saying that he was treating a sick and dying man by giving him benzo's and propofol....Lord have Mercy Murray,,,give it a break already..:no:

Too bad the AUTOPSY REPORT doesn't show that Michael Jackson was "ill" or "even dying."

Murray's team must really think that EVERYBODY, aside from them, are dumb as a box of rocks and that 2+2 no longer adds up to 4. I mean, really!

Why woukd sony have any dodgy footage anyway.the estate owned the footage and sold it to sony.i doubt they would be selling footage that made mj look crap to anyone

I agree. Even if people are supposed to believe Murray, it sounds to me like he is still basically admitting that he knew that Michael was having problems. And as a doctor, he should have known that giving Michael that Propofol crap (for 6 weeks or whatever the case was), it would not be helping Michael. In fact, it would only be making him go downhill even faster. I can't believe that we're being asked to think that this was okay. What kind of doctor loads a patient up with unnecessary and potentially dangerous medical substances if the doctor sees that something is seriously wrong with the patient already? Seriously now. What was okay about this? Nothing. It was disgusting and stupid. This is all just my opinion.

How is this supposed to help Murray? This would just make him look worse IMO. Murray was the doctor, and he thought that his patient was ill or dying and still pumped him full of Propofol. So his defense is going to be that Michael was going to die anyway? What a crock.

Trial of Michael Jackson's doctor could be delayed

Dr. Murray's lawyers say they need more time to prepare
The defense concern began when the judge approved prosecutors' new experts
The defense must let the judge know by the end of Friday

Los Angeles (CNN) -- Defense lawyers are considering asking for a delay in the start of Dr. Conrad Murray's involuntary manslaughter trial because, they said, they need more time to answer new theories raised by the prosecution.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor asked the defense during a hearing Friday morning to let the court know by the end of the day if they wanted a continuance.
Testimony in the trial of Michael Jackson's doctor is scheduled to start on May 9, but the jury will be chosen next week.
The possibility of a delay was raised after Pastor ruled prosecutors could call new expert witnesses, including one who would testify that there was no way Jackson could have self-ingested the drug that killed him.
"This is precisely the matter I fully expected that was going to happen when the defense said it wanted to go in 60 days," Pastor said.
Dr. Murray invoked his right to a speedy trial after his arraignment in January.
