Speculation: timbaland to anounce to work with a mystery artist on the grammys

Timbaland could announce anyone so lets just take this with a grain of salt and stop thinking its Michael cause IT COULD BE ANYONE i don't think that it will be Michael that Timbaland will announce but i'm just gonna wait and see what goes down

if Prince is doing something for Purple Rain, he's a copycat:lol:

anyway do any of you remember the rumor that some dj in washington dc, said that Michael was in Virginia to work with Timbaland? I think it was during Michael's house hunting adventure in Virginia. Remember Timbaland's music studio is in Virginia

whats what I am trying to say too! lol

Prince is not doing a Purple Rain 25 remix album like Michael is doing. Maybe a re-release or something but it will definitely be nothing to the extent of Thriller 25,

Seriously, is all of this discussion still based entirely on what ONE random Michael Jackson fan claimed on a Prince board? Does anyone even know what radio station allegedly played this interview, or anything factual about it for that matter?! The original post implies that Timbaland actually named who he was collaborating with (despite wanting to keep it "top secret" until the Grammys) but the radio station itself kept beeping out the name, that doesn't make any sense at all. And where exactly are Timbaland fans saying anything about this alleged interview? Maybe I'm mistaking, but nothing in that overly generalized original post makes much sense. I seriously doubt that Timbaland will be unveiling any collaboration plans at the Grammys, this sounds more like an MJ/Timbaland fan's fantasy, than a reality.

If the person Timbaland was talking about will be Michael, then I'll say *yay* if it will be someone else, good for Timbaland. We'll see :)

Maybe it had a deep message, but the song itself was one of the worst things he's ever done IMO. Also, someone who's had all the legal trouble Michael has had should not be singing these type of songs if you ask me. He should steer clear of singing any songs that have to do with children.

lol..now that's a little too melodramatic.

the lost children is a great song. and i'd be glad if he did one like that again.

Timbaland told some story about bringing Michael Timerland boots or something while he was recording "Invincible". If you ask me, his beats are boring, just like him and his head looks like a garbage truck, so he needs to sit his ass down about people's appearances.

:toofunny: ahhhhhhh hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahha

...garbage truck.... aaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

:toofunny:

Well all i say is michael can choose anyone he wants to work with , why all the trouble no matter what happens lets just be thankful that michael make great music with anyone. I don,t think its Michael but if it is thats great if not good luck to what ever it and who it may be. I got my fingers crossed just in case.

I agree. "The Lost Children" was terrible.

I agree. I love the man but that song was not hot. I also did not like "Speechless". It sounded a bit disney like.

Wow, what can say? I like Timbaland, I really do. I am shocked to read what he said about MJ but you know something, MJ did the right thing by not accepting Timbaland's songs. His songs are not as innovative as it was when he worked with the late Aaliyah, Ginuwine and Missy. I think his best music was from 1996-2002. The work he did was Justin was alright but I cannot like JT's FS/LS. I only like two songs in that CD and the rest I could not get into.

As for the "surprise" performer, it could be Usher. I doubt MJ would work with Timbaland after the comments that he said about him and his ego. MJ is working with way more talented people like Will and rumored Kanye. Like someone said on here, Timbaland is too overrated. Timbaland does remind me of Rodney Jenkins who makes hits and not classics. MJ makes classics besides making hits. Timbaland might be making hits now but I doubt if they become classics.

That is weird. That is like saying MJ should stay away from children just because he was falsely accused of child abuse. Sorry, but I find your comment very ignorant. You almost sounded like a hater. No offense.

i said that before and some guys almost try to kill me..

Wow, that sucks. People have been hating on my opinions since the first day I started posting on MJ boards back in 2000. LOL. I take it with a grain of salt. :)

i like timbaland.thought his nelly furtado/justin timberlake albums were quite good.i don't think their classics or will be around in 15-20 years, but i don't really care.im living in the now & in the now his work is pretty good as regards anything else around.people go on & on & on about kanye west & will-i-am as if their superior producer/artists,but i cant see the big deal in those two.i don't think timbaland is any better then them, but i dont see him as being any worse.
are we going to be sitting around in 30 years time & be talking about the genius of will-i-am & how he changed music? doubt it.
all these producers are making music that appeals to the now & thats why people work with them.to sell records today & not worry about this or that record being a classic.

aww that sick . lol. he is a joke. lol. dont think he saw himself in the mirror lately-_-

the first time i saw timberlands album i laughed so hard the food i ate returned to its plate:lol: and when I heard his "music", :mello:(not even worth puking for).

:lol::lol:

The most refreshing part of this entire thread is hearing the fans disagreeing with Michael's decisions. One thing that always bothered me is realistically stating your opinion only to get criticized by some fanatic that thinks everything Michael does turns to gold. Michael is a perfectionist, but he is far from perfect; he is human and capable of making bad decisions in his musical and private endeavors.

Anyway I am glad that their are fans here that understand this and take a realistic approach when talking about King of Pop. I am new here and got sick of past threads on other forums that discussed how the man can do no wrong and how he is the sexiest thing on the earth. I have nothing against those beliefs but I guess there will always be the two types of fans…

well..i'm one who thinks whatever he touches turns to gold. so...ur gunna have to deal:D

I don't care what Michael makes again. I'm happy that he's decided to make anything at all. "Invincible" is my least favorite album from him, but it is by no means a bad album. It's only shortcoming, in my view, was that he only wrote two songs on his own. But I listen to "Invincible" as often as all of his others, because the quality is maintained, in terms of sound, his vocal performances, etc...

although Invincible is my fav album, i appreciate the complexity of ur statement, and especially what i enboldened, within the context of your statement.

can you all just stop talking about invincible? is it that hard to open up a new thread??? god damn, ok, that album is DIFFERENT than all the others. that is a fact. so like it or not, save it for yourselves. i know i am no mod, but come on, don't be so childish!

I've removed some of the drama out of this thread and expect it to steer clear of it again. If you can't get along that is what the ignore button is for.

Please return to the topic and continue.

i don't know what you mean by childish..and you're right, you're not a mod.

people will comment on what they please, if it is relevant to what they're trying to say regarding the subject matter of the thread title. and so far, the comments are relevant. if u r an MJ fan, and u r amongst MJ fans, you'll hear about Invincible...if that bothers u..i guess it's best not to hang out among MJ fans..:)

I don't think Mike's working with Timbaland.
Madonna has a new cd coming out soon and the first single, from what i've heard, will be with Justin Timberlake and Timbaland...so it might just be Madonna that's performing at the Grammy's with Tim and not Mike.

ALL MJ's albums are different from each other , so we don't know what you mean ,fortunately invincible is different but like all the 5 other ,so what you mean ?

I bet Timbaland doesn't even announce anything with regards to a ''new collaboration'' at the Grammys.

Don't get ya hopes up ;)

That's... I don't even have the words. He shouldn't sing about the things he cares about because of what people have said about him? That's silly. A song isn't going to get him in to trouble. And saying what you just did basically is the same as saying that Michael should forgo everything he cares about just so he doesn't get picked on or get lambasted. If people acted that way, which most do because they're chicken sh*t, then no change for the better would ever happen.

And you may find the song one of his worst, but I find it one of his best, both lyrically and musically. It has very strong melody and a brilliant message behind it.

dirty dianna is a rock balland and give in to me too...anyway if you love tlc and spechless thats good for you i supose...i found them too chilhood to sit to hear..

I guess "Dirty Diana" can be seen as a ballad, though it seems more mid-tempo. You find the ballads on "Invincible" too much like "Childhood"? And "Childhood" is a shitty song, right? I happen to think "Childhood" is a brillaint song and most close to who Michael is as a person. That song is orchastral and melodically one of the most killer songs I've ever heard, and it's layered meanings run deep.
