Source of the TII Vocals

Had always assumed they were rehearsal vocals, possibly just from different days?

That's my favourite performance in TII.

The small speechless segment btw, am I the only one who didn't like it? It was fine until he sang the word explain. It was extremely out of tune!!

I don’t think that segment was live. Only WBBS, Human Nature, IJCSLY, J5 Medley, and Black or White are live vocals

Also does anyone think that they could have used playback during rehearsals too?

Parts of Smooth Criminal were live too. Intro of TWYMMF was live and the last 'Come on give it to me' adlib was live.

I always hated how Beat It was full playback taken from a 80s live performance....
