Absolutely! Just the fact that the single has already generated controversy will keep a lot of the public away from the album. And once it's released, fans will go through it with a fine-toothed comb, no doubt.
Whether or not Sony can be sued for this, really depends on how the album is marketed (among other factors). If it's marketed as Michael Jackson's music, and IF it is not, then yes, I think they can be sued.
At this point, it would take a forensic voice-analysis to determine how much of it is Michael and how much is not?
There is also the factor of how MUCH of an artist's voice must be on a song for it to be authentic. This already is one, big, MESS, and probably will only get worse once the album is released. :bugeyed
