Animations are fun to make, but it can be complicated depending on what software you have. I use Adobe ImageReady for animations.

First off, you'll need some kind of video editing program. Any kind should be fine. Use that get the specific clip you want to use for your animation. Save the clip as an .avi file.

Go to ImageReady and open your clip. There, you can resize it and make any other changes or add-ons that you want. Once you're finished, save it as a .gif file and that's it!

For siggys, I use Adobe Photoshop and sometimes ImageReady as well if I'm making animated siggys.
