Send comments & Questions for the Rabbi to Larry King live (Sept 29th)

Ok, finally I watched it too. The main idea of rabbi's blabbing about Michael was to make MJ look worse, like he killed himself. Basically, they are trying to turn homicide to suicide. I am sick and tired of it.

im so tired of negativity, and we all should be NOT paying attention to negative stuff, look, negativity atracts negativity, i mean, F the rabbi, ignore him, you are making him powerful by hating him cause you are paying attention to him, and it seems like all these programs discuss all the same topics, its so basic, its boring and depressing, I WONT GAVE ANYONE MY ENERGY NEVER AGAIN

You know, Shmuckley really pisses me off. Occasionally he has a point. Very occasionally. But most of the time his interpretation of things is just... I mean, WTF? Aggravating. And you know what? I'm sick and tired of the attitude that "fans" (I actually hate that word, because there are so many levels - I mean who is a "fan" and in what way?) are the epitome of false love, that we're just obsessed with "celebrity" and have only seen MJ as an icon and a performer from whom we want, want, want and how we've been completely blind to who Michael was as a human being. I think... wait, I KNOW that many, many of us felt and knew much more for, about and with Michael than these folks could understand or believe. And that's their loss. Maybe we didn't know him in person, but to say that we had no clue whatsoever who he was as a man or about pain in his life or how he needed love... come on. After 25+ years of loving this man with all my heart, I find that outright freakin' offensive. I'm a totally sane 37 year old with a life of my own. Say that crap about portions of the general public and the press, fine, but we're not all that blatantly stupid. Sorry for the rant, but it really got to me lately.

well said

Rabbi Schmuley is a c**t. Sorry, but he doesn't deserve me trying to come up with a more intelligent comment - he is dirt

Since the estate executors are suing Heal teh world, who has contact details of executors.

Fans can write to them and ask them to take legal action against Schmuley.

They should get posession of the tapes because the tapes constitute derived works of Michael.

The executors should also know that Schmuley said on record in 2005 the tapes were for a book he and Michael were going to write.

MJ never cleared the tapes, never signed a release, never reviewed the transcripts, yet Schmuley is releasing the tapes to profit, most of which are highly edited for an agenda.

Anything MJ owned that anyone has, is under control of his tapes, including derived unreleased works for music, film, books.

So they have every right to issue an injunction and get the tapes turned over.

Does anyone have the email to Branca's law firm

We can't fight for MJ if we don't know what we are fighting.

Believe me you don´t have to fight. The best thing you can do is just "Stop watching the crap". It´s the best thing you can do for your health and for Michaels legacy.

Everthing else will not stop the crap. You can send 1000s letters to the TV station etc etc.

Like in the past it won´t change a thing.

Why can´t you just all stop watching?????? Answer?????????????????

MJ said himself over and over again Stop watching it´s garbage!

Why can´t you all follow his advice??? Do you think MJ was wrong when he said Stop watching???

I often ask myself ''why the hell did i watch !'' You get angry, frustrated and sad. But I guess I put myself through it because it's about Michael. And just wonder about why people have such a negative vision about Michael, while we as fans know that he was the purest and kindest person that ever lived. Trying to understand why others feel the need to be negative... I understand why some say, why watch ? But I guess that everytime i hear Michaels name, i automaticly watch even tough is negative... Strange brains:)

The executors, and Mr.Jackson's family are aware of this legal matter and certainly should be handled in the proper manner.

I watched Larry King when I woke up, I had a feeling it would be on and thank god it did.
I really don't like schmuley, sometimes I feel that I totally have no energy anymore to comment on all this negativity about Michael but there is one thing that I don't understand, if schmuley says that Michael wanted these tapes to be out and that he wanted this book to be out why didn't he do so when Michael was still alive, why now?
Only because he knows that now he can make money over Michael's dead body and also he knows that if he published this all when Michael was still alive Michael wouldn't approve of this!
Also there are no papers where Michael officially says that Rabbi Schmuley is approved my Michael to bring this out.

This all makes me sick and sad :(

This was suppose to be a book about the family. The tape recordings were supposed to be used as notes. They were not intended for him to use them as a question and answer session. MJ wanted the writer of the book to draw from his experience paint a picture. He did not want all the stuff out there verbatim. Boteach new he could not publish a book about the family when the tapes were recorded because of the trial no one would BUY the book. MJ did not put up a fight about the tapes, because he new that the book would be about the family. When MJ died, Boteach new he had access to goldmine. No one could dispute him if MJ wanted these tapes published or not. Same story over and over again. People used MJ over and over again. The media called him paranoid. Wouldn't you be? DA** This is my opinion.

Any new quotes from Michael?
Did he say anything we didn't know before?

Arty, I understand your passion about this. . I really do. There is one thing that you (and others?) need to know about tv ratings, though. Unless you are part of the Nielson survey team (and you'd know if you were because you would have signed up for it), there is NO way anyone can know what tv show you are watching (unless you tell them). Ratings are based on a special device put on some tv's, (upon request) or on surveys. If you don't have this device that records the shows you watch, and if you don't respond to surveys, there is NO WAY ANYONE IN MEDIA KNOWS WHAT SHOWS YOU WATCH! Networks cannnot tell when you turn the tv ON, or change the channels. So . . . simply "watching" does not raise ratings. OK? An exception would be those shows where viewers call in or vote.

With that said, the other thing you can do is boycott the products advertised in the intervals in tv programs you are watching, if you think the show is inappropriate.

Print material and websites are different. Websites can record the number of "hits," so if you don't want to support online tabloids, just don't go to those sites. For print material, do not buy tabloids, or Schmuley's book, or Ian Halperin's book (or Karen Faye's book, when it comes out ,IMHO), and so on.

Some people watch so they know what they are up against in terms of preserving Michael's legacy, or even an "investigation." This is a matter of choice. If it's more comfortable or feels like it's what you should do, to focus only on the positive, then more power to you. If you feel the need to write letters of complaint, or make phone calls, more power to you, too.

In my own case, I feel that not knowing about a problem does not make the problem go away. If you KNOW, then you know what you are up against and if you have the stamina for it, you can be part of the solution.

Carry on,

Vic

Some of you emailed quite good and legit questions for the "rabbi" to answer. Yes, I will not view him a proper rabbi as they aren't attention-seeking divuldgers of others' secrets. Too bad those concerns voiced by you weren't addressed. But I'm sure some day somewhere comes the time when the "rabbi" has to answer those questions too. Hopefully that time comes sooner than later. I'm quite happy his book isn't featuring well on Amazon's sales! Serves him right. I loved reading some of the well-argued negative reviews of the book.

Oh me too! It's like schadenfreude to read.

The Rabid Rabbi thought MJ fans would be suckers to eat this stuff up.

Doesn't he know that a significant number of MJ fans that he so coldly dismisses in his book are Generation Xers & Late Baby Boomers who grew up with MJ and are now adults who have major buying power?

I'm 22, and I am the same way. I felt for a long time that I was losing my mind because everyone else "fan" wise seemed to be losing theirs (I don't mean that disrespectfully, but it is my opinion.) Thank you for being as honest and articulate as I wish I could be.

You just supported the trash talk about Mike you gave the Rabbi a good rating.

Don't see it, don't read it!! M.J said that over and over again. Don't read it, it's garbage.
Did M.J speak so unclear?? What point didn't you all get??

I didn't watch it. Even if I had cable I wouldn't watch it. I empathize with your frustration. I don't understand a lot of the times why people still feed the tabloids / media / etc. If people or "fans" want to view or buy this stuff, that's their choice. Even from a defense stand-point, IMO Michael would rather we ignore them. It's like bullies ... If you ignore them, eventually they'll go away. If you ignore pr**** like Shmuley, Sneddon, Dimond (sorry to bring up those names), then eventually they'll stop talking because no one will be listening. We can't change EVERYONE, but we can d*** well try. Unfortunately most of the public are uneducated and do not know anything about Michael other than the fact that he made music and had a dodgy history. Most humans have an odd fascination will negative stories and are nosey by nature, which is exactly why completely false stories get a higher following than truth. It's just not interesting to people. Gossip is a social normality for people, and for the most part, if we're brainwashed into perceiving someone as "odd" or "immoral", we tend to believe it because 95% of the information given to us supports those claims. We live in a day and age when "entertainment" t.v shows such as TMZ and gossip magazines such as People speak for us. We can't we bothered to search both sides of a story because A.) We're lazy, and B.) The truth is not as entertaining. I'm still attempting to change my mum's opinion on the allegations. I give her all the information I have, and when I tell her to go onto the internet and research for herself, she can't be bothered. She'd rather just watch Entertainment Tonight. Case in point: Lazy.
When we ask ourselves how people who know the truth can sell false stories and still be able to look at themselves in the mirror knowing what they're doing to their fellow man or woman, take a look at people like Bashir and ask him yourself. I suppose some people just have hate in their heart. I for one will never understand the power of money over love. So instead of focusing on the negative media and people (and let's face it, they will not change anytime soon, regardless of what we say or do), why don't we focus on educating and informing those who don't know Michael like we know him. Just because they've kicked us down, doesn't mean we can't keep fighting. "Justice WILL prevail!"

I looked at Michael as a MAN first, and an entertainer Second.

Hopefully it'll not be too long before this happens and karma prevails for the 'rabbi'.

TinnyandOdd, I had typed a brilliant response to your post (I agree with it by the way) but the computer crashed. Now I cant remember what I wanted to say. Darn.

Will say this though - I get more satisfaction from talking to intelligent, open-minded persons who are willing to really listen to what I have to say than arguing with people whose minds are closed off.

i wish some fans make a book about us the Michael jackson's fans , our own words our pics (with him) where we can show the world who are we and what MJ means to us ...

we need to tell the world our story and stop those leeches from destroying his legacy.

i guess we are special fans not like other fans , we went through a great experience with him and he gave us all what he could .

When I went to L.A in July, myself and the two girls I went with became a part of a fan-made documentary about Michael Jackson fans. I'm now really good friends with Jenny (the producer.) It's not a book, but it will be a movie. http://www.dreamchaserusa.com/fandemonium Would someone actually be able to tell me what section I should post this in? I've wanted to promote it for awhile, but I'm not really sure where it will get the most coverage without being closed.

you're absolutely right. I'm writing. thanks for his contact info. I want those tapes to be with the estate, not floating around in Schmuckley's dirty drawers! ugh.

exactly, Shimar!! I'm a gen-X-er and I grew up with MJ and I ain't gonna take his crap! this "rabbi" should be professionally disciplined. he has broken one of the main tenets of his calling.

What was the point of The Larry King Show asking people to post questions if they had no damn intention of asking any!?!?

And frankly, all I'm seeing is the same questions and statements from michael that is being aired.......God does'nt like ugly rabbi and you're gonna realise that real soon!

Despite all the press, his book has fallen off Amazon.com's top 100 best sellers.

While MJ's autobiography (pre-order) has been on the top 100 list for 20 days and is now sitting at # 69.

I am glad most MJ fans are wise enough not to be fooled by this latest impostor.

So good to know that his book is NOT doing well. Although I found he was trying to be more kind to Michael on LKL.

Cookie (customer review at amazon)

Someone forwarded me this message from a major bookstore:

"You stopped by our store a couple of days ago to talk about Shmuley Boteach's book, "The Michael Jackson Tapes". We have received numerous complaints about the selling of this book in our store, including yours and other members of the ... area. As you know, we take the voices of our consumers seriously, and we have unanimously decided to remove this book from our shelves. As you may also know, this was already taken care of at our downtown location, and we will stock a few of Aphrodite Jones's book, Michael Jackson Conspiracy, when that order comes in. Thanks again for contacting us. Please give us a call if you have any questions."
