Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.. but I felt this was important.

Save the Children UK will not take donations under Michael Jackson's name.

Edit* If you read everything from the link above there has been people that have been turned down. Please check the other nations/regions for Save The Children. it is ultimatly your choice..but imho it's wrong.

Hi, is it possible to change the title so people know that this foundation refuses to be assossiated with Michael. Fans should know where their help goes.

Disgusting. Well I for one will not donate to Save the Children again. I will give my money to another charity.
 
Whatever, very, very sad.

My contributions and money shall go to Heal the World or another charity.

I suggest "Child's Play", it's when gamers like myself, help raise money for children in orphanages and serious problems.

NOW, if they REALLY cared, they would take donations under Michael's name and would not care about their reputation. Bad, very bad. It's now ironic since you posted this that their reputation is bad to us Michael fans and probably others that know Michael's humanitarian efforts.
 
Ahhh! tell em to go to hell!!! There are other good childrens charities out there. I always donate to UNISEF they do fantastic work for children.
 
I sent them an email. I'll post the response if I get one.
 
Thanks very much for posting this. I'm disgusted really after reading this, someone is offering to give money in order for it to be used to establish relief for children and to some extent extend and better their lives, they are a charity that specialize in it yet still refuse it for a completely arbitrary and unfounded reason. It's good to know how much they REALLY want to help these children. After reading this it has changed my attitude towards the charity, I've always thought of save the children as a charity where the money actually goes to the cause rather than paying lots of staff. If we find out this is the case in every region I will donate in future to the Wish Upon A Star Foundation and the Make A Wish foundation instead. How many other people have experienced this sort of service?
 
This is absolutelly disgusting!!! And to think I wanted to donate to this charity!
 
How disgusting. I emailed them. I will from now on only support charities that Michael supported.

Gotta get myself a copy of that ENORMOUS list.
 
What the...I'd have thought raising money for the cause would be the most important thing...nice to know they are in a position where they can turn down donations? Does that mean the welfare of children across the UK is a healthy condition? I'll tell you now it is not. How sad. And shocking? Or is this normal and I'm not aware at all?
 
Does anyone know where I can get a list of all the charities Michael supported? I would like to start supporting those.

Yes, they obviously don't care about children much if they choose to place their reputation higher than them. I think they should change the name of their charity. :no:
 
DISGUSTING! I have donated this charity in memory of Michael last yr. This is the last time I will be doing so. appalling attitude for a charity that needs money to take.
 
Are they seriously turning away donations here, what the hell?! Make A Wish Foundation are more than happy for us to use Michael's name when raising funds for them, why not Save the Children? Pfft whatever.
 
Can we please make sure TMZ doesn't get their hands on this?
 
well well i started donating to save the children uk begining this january on a monthly basis. my direct debit is gonna be stopped straight away. and ill be emailing them.
 
I am utterley shocked and disgusted and saddened at this,this charity doesn,t deserve the donations,they don,t even care about the children they are supposedly trying to save,more concerned about there reputation and believing to much in all the media c**p.I certainly won,t be donating to them,I'm sure there are other childrens charitie's out there that would happily except donations.
 
ive just emailed them. and my direct debit is now cancelled. screw them. luckily they only got a few £ out of me.
 
This is so sad :(
However I don't think everyone should stop donating to them - it's not the children who refused the donations.
