^ That's fine, but I don't understand why people resort to things like name calling and saying that others have "low self esteem" for liking the Jacksons. If you have an opinion, state it with class and facts to back it up, please. Rather than being childish and hurting others.

What's wrong with wanting to hear positive things? I surely don't come online to criticise others, especially those who I've never met before. I think it's hurtful and spiteful. Everybody has their faults and problems in their lives, and if you don't agree with it then why does it bother you so much? It doesn't effect you. Let them do want they want.

And actually, the only time I told someone off was when they were acting OUTSIDE the boundries of the forum. It clearly states that while you may have an opinion on the Jacksons, to keep it civil and not resort to name calling, neither of which have been followed in this thread. It would be nice if people could go back and read each post rather than generalising over what they think is going on.
 
TheChosenOne had just come in here and asked for the bickering to stop. Yet her post was looked right over and people continued in the bickering, and even went so far as to call people names and said the like some family members because of low self esteem?? WT heck is that?

If it causes some so much pain to talk about the family members because you are pained at what they have done or said, it may be in your best interests to just not click on threads dealing with them. Yes, everyone can post on a family member, as long as it is on topic, pro or con. But can we please use some decorum?

I actually think Rebbie had the nicest voice out of the three Jackson sisters; Latoya's was a bit airy, Janet had some guts in songs like Black Cat but she rarely used her full range, but Rebbie had a great, soulful voice.

I never liked Rebbie's singing and I am familiar with those two songs of hers only because Michael participated in the recording. I don't like the way she sings, the way she breathes between singing the lines. She's trying to sound sexy, but to me it just don't sound nice. Haven't watched the clip posted in this thread though cause I am at work now. But I have to say that as much as I get excited when I see other artists singing Michael's songs as a tribute, I am never eager to see the Jacksons sing his songs because to me it feels like they are using him to get attention.

N you should go on YouTube and listen to her other songs... I think Rebbie is pretty decent for someone who does this for fun lol

The thing is other artists don't need it to gain attention. They've already established themselves through their own talent. As for some Jacksons they did not sing for 20+ years but after Michael passed just look at them - they never leave the stage singing his songs.

I don't agree... Those artist are established just like the Jacksons are, the Jacksons just haven't had a hit or any music in years. N artist use other artist for publicity all the time

I have no hate for Madonna but she wish she could not release music and go though what MJ did and still have people checking for her hard. It's not like MJ couldn't release music, go on tour or go to award shows... He could and if he wanted all he had to do was snap his fingers and it was done. People would try to get him to do stuff like that all the time.
I agree with you. If he doesn't like MJ why keep his name in your mouth?!?? I think that deep down inside he wanted to work for MJ/ be in his circle but he had to settle for Rebbie, he couldn't even get Janet, one of the Jacksons or Hell even Toya.. He has MAJOR ISSUES... I wonder about people like him

I was basically saying vial even though Madonna was so called "relevant" she isn't on MJs level. He wasn't releasing music, going on tour or doing award shows and was still popular. If if wanted he could have done those things listed but he chose not to.(no shade to Madonna though)

Wow...I applaud all those who took off their pink-colored glasses. The sight ain't pretty but it is what it is.

As far as I am concerned..that sexagenarian can shove her tribute. TOO DAMN LATE. I am pretty sure she is playing to empty rooms. So I guess this could be somewhat of a small victory.

When it comes to Jacksons every failure should remind them that THEY needed MJ, not the other way around. The public & the media aren't the only hypocrites trying to hitchhike a ride on the MJ new popularity crave.


Well, I applaud those who are wise enough to see through the stinky pile of ish... these people have been shoving down our throat. And of course, being buddy with that sob Stacy Brown doesn't help.

Not that its relevant to this thread at all, but Janet did do the Rhythm Nation tour 100% live for the whole show at certain dates not all though, and she still does a lot of live singing on her tours more so than on her appearances, but like that matters MJ wasn't an artist who sang 100% live at his concerts past the BAD tour, so why should it bother us, they're dancers, it's hard work to do both.
