I am sorry but that didn't make me happy. Just made my heart hurt a little more.It just isn't the same. Sorry... Just because she can doesn't mean she should.

*sigh*

P.S. thankyou Billyworld!!:)

Nice to see Rebbie wanting to tribute her brother. She has every right to. While Im sure
some may enjoy her show Personally her rendition doesnt bring me any joy to see or hear it.

So far The only "Rock With You" tribute Ive seen with the heart and soul it deserved was Chris Tucker

Oh leave her alone! She can do whatever she wants, and if she wants to pay tribute to her brother, then let her do so. Don't be so negative.

I love Rebbie, I think has a terrific voice and could've had a great career if she had chosen to. :)

Now that MJ is gone and her grown ass kids aren't being "teased" at school, I guess she isn't as mad at MJ as she was in 2005.

OTR: I don't like Rebbie.

I much rather she keeps on selling MJ's iphone covers instead of that hot pitiful mess

God, some people just can't keep on topic, don't have to be her biggest fan to do so....

Looks like she also did Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground), it is somewhat better than Rock With You...

Where I live, we have a little law called "Free speak" ...

You are free to wallow in her greatness. **Kanye shrug**

I in no way want to wallow in her 'greatness', if I have something to say I say it in the appropriate threads, this isn't one of them.

Well, sadly all threads where we can vent about the Jacksons are closed.

I think it is a clear indication that any thread can be used to let out some steam...This one is about Rebbie - known iphone cover & memorabilia thief ......right? Than my comment was very appropriate...AND within boundaries.

Now, if I had brought up Janet in a Rebbie thread...I guess you would be in your rights to criticize....but ...it's not..so there you go. **Kanye shrug**

They are closed for good reasons; because some of us go too far.
Now if I remember correctly one of the rules of this section is to not derail threads about family members with off topic subjects.
in fact it's written here:

Constant derailing of threads about certain family members. If a thread is about say, Janet on a magazine cover, please keep it to that topic. There is no need to take that thread back to what Janet said/did who knows when. If we don't enforce this, the board becomes a free for all and if not for anything other than organisational purposes, a nightmare.

What you speak of has nothing to do with her 'performances'.

Tribute or not I just don't like it, nor the ideea nor the performance.

I agree that Chris Tucker did a much better job, even though he was hilarious, he brought tears to my eyes.:)

I agree, I didn't care much for that, she used to have quite a nice voice, but I was not comfortable watching it, and turned it off before it hit the minute mark.
Was this part of those charity concerts she was doing does anyone know? or is she doing her own thing now? :)

Well, when I wrote I'd rather she keeps selling MJ's iphone covers and other memorabilia than seeing her perform his music....you can pretty much make up the rest: Her performance sucks...

I didn't need to spell it out...but I guess it might be necessary for some.

well apparently free speak is only allowed when Jackson's are not being discussed.

I won't bother watching this her performances are always hot messes.

How dare she pay tribute to her brother?! Some people are here to hate. This will sadly be closed soon enough.

Although I don't like Rebbie's voice, it's nice that she is paying tribute to Michael.

I meant "free speech"...I wrote it so quickly...I did not bother to double check. I was writing faster than I could think.

Anyway....Exactly...FREE SPEECH is only for the Jacksons. *****

Yawn..

No one cares for that half-assed tribute. She is free to make money off his songs....but doesn't mean we all have to enjoy it.

Honestly I don't know much about Rebbie. Over the years you hear about Janet and Latoya as Michael' sisters and how close they were. I am not trying to be mean but it's just an observation I have had over the years. Didn't hear much about her and Michael.

Seriously? Do have NOTHING better to do than hate on people that you don't know at all? Honestly, let's get your private life out there, and let me judge every, little, thing that you do. How would you like that? Every little mistake you made, everything that looked like something that it wasn't. Even if Rebbie has done some things that we don't all agree with, it doesn't give us the right to be so blatantly RUDE and horrible. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

The rules were changed here for the Jacksons part of the forum for a reason, because people can't go a single thread without moaning and groaning that apparently EVERYBODY in this world has done something bad to Michael. Jesus Christ and above, just get over it. This is his family, yes Joe and the others have done some pretty stupid things but at the end of the day, they knew Michael much better than we did. If you can't live with that fact - and sometimes I think all this hate stems from pure jealousy - then you need to stay out of these threads and stay in places like "Michael Jackson's booty photos" or whatever the heck you guys talk about in there.

Seriously. Let the rest of us talk like civilised people because we actually like the Jacksons. Maybe not as people, but at least artistically or for their music.

Now back on topic.

I think Rebbie is gorgeous, and the reason why you never hear about her and Mike is because there's about 10 years age difference between them. By the time Michael was growing up, Rebbie was already married and had moved out.

I think people have the freedom here to be critical of Jackson family members as long as they aren't breaking rules (i.e. Over the top name calling of Jackson family members, derailing of threads about certain family members).

And I don't think anyone has the right, nor should they tell another poster to stop being critical, when that person is acting within the boundaries and rules of this forum.

Not all share a positive opinion of every member of the Jackson family. Those that don't, shouldn't have to sugarcoat their opinions because some others only want to hear positive things all the time.
