In the pic with Michael ~ “The Doc” Steve Koc, in 1984 in Detroit, when he was hired by Michael as a chiropractor and healer. Today Dr Steve with partner Sara form 'Martyrs of Sound' who create healing music, winning several awards. ~

"Back when I was a practicing Sikh I caught the attention of Michael who took me on tour to provide chiropractic and healing services for him and his family. One day Michael grabbed his brother Jermaine and said “Take a picture of me and The Doc.” He knew that that picture would benefit me one day and he wanted me to have it. He was generous and thoughtful like that. Seeing him work, his professionalism combined with sincere innocence that set the standard for me. From my first day of recording my own music I always ask, “What would Michael do?” whenever we are faced with a challenge in the studio"

Dr. Steve is a music producer, multi-instrumentalist, chiropractor and healer. For over 30 years, he's studied the synergistic effects of music, meditation and mantra as healing modalities, and been a leader in the areas of energy healing and spiritual awakening. His unique and varied career has taken him around the world, traveling as a personal chiropractor to celebrities such as Michael Jackson and The Grateful Dead. A teacher of Kundalini yoga worldwide since 1975, he studied directly under the Indian master Yogi Bhajan.

The talk-show host tells Winfrey it took five years to make his deal to revive “The Arsenio Hall Show”

Arsenio Hall is a ’90s late night icon, but it took five years for him to close his deal to return to the airwaves with his new talk show.
“I went everywhere with this,” he told Oprah Winfrey of trying to get back on television during his appearance on Sunday’s “Oprah’s Next Chapter” airing Sunday at 9/8c on OWN.
To illustrate the passing of time, “The Arsenio Hall Show” host remembered discussing the comeback while attending a party along with rapper, Sean “Diddy” Combs and, wait for it, Michael Jackson.
“One of those parties,” he explained. “Diddy said, ‘You’ve got to come back.’ And I’m like, ‘I want to. But it ain’t that easy.’ And the reason I bring up Michael’s name [is] because Michael’s gone now and that’s how long it’s been.”
Of course, Winfrey had to ask whether the late King of Pop believed Hall should return to TV.
“Michael was like, ‘You should have never left,” Hall recalled. “And I know he’s watching.”

Michael with actor Robert De Niro who visited Michael on the 'Smooth Criminal' Moonwalker set. During the Gold 2002 interview, when asked "Who are the figures in the movie business you most admire, and why?" Michael replied " I just love Robert De Niro. I think he's such a multi-faceted actor. He can play anything from a comedian to a priest to a psychopathic killer to an idiot to a charming uncle to just anything. And of course, any of the great dancers"

'I have been a fan of Michael's since I was about 2 and that's when I first watched the Thriller video for the first time. Well I was blown away! I kept watching it on the video over and over again, much to my mum's annoyance! Ha ha. I was born with a narrowing in my windpipe and had to spend a lot of the first 7 years of my life in Great Ormond Street Hospital, London. It was there, I had to have an emergency Tracheotomy operation. In July 1988 when I was nearly 4, I happened to be in the hospital having yet another procedure done. One of the nurses took my mum to one side and said ''Don't say anything to Joanne or the other children, but Michael Jackson is coming to visit the ward'' Well my mum was gobsmacked. But she never said a word. She told me to stand at the main door of the ward corridor and all I said at the top of my voice was ''MICHAEL JACKSON!!!!!!!'' and I held my arms out. Apparently my mum said he smiled and one of his entourage laughed. He sat down and was chatting to me. I couldn't just about speak after another throat operation and I managed to say ''Thriller'' and he asked my mum ''What does she mean by that?'' My Mum replied ''She watches your video all the time'' He said ''I'm glad you liked it'' and smiled. He signed a photo and his 1988 BAD tour programme, which I still have and I sat on his lap and had photographers take photos. Then he left because he had other wards to visit. Its a shame I can't remember anymore than saying ''Thriller''. But I can remember how excited I was and 23 years later, I will never forget it. It feels such a honour to meet him, he made us all forget of the operations and stuff we had ahead of us back then.

On November 13, 1989, the organization “Wishes Granted” helps 4-year-old Darian Pagan, who suffers from leukemia to meet Michael. Michael invites the little boy to a performance of Canadian acrobats.
