Also note that it is my understanding that on the day of Michael's tragic passing Jackson family members took hard drives with music Michael worked on and Jacksons have publicly attacked The Michael Jackson Estate, so an unknown part of his final work remains unavailable since Jacksons have no legal right to use the music and the estate certainly won't pay them for what they pouched.

Then the Estate needs to get those songs back, in my opinion.

There might be sth for the resident show of Immortal in Las Vegas but no album is on the schedule for this year.

Last Year (2012) you mentioned in a post that MJ's solo versions (demos) of 'People Of The World' & 'Childrens Holiday' will be released this year (2013).
What about that? And how will they be released if not on an album of unreleased material?

You posted "Scheduled for release in 2013." in the J-Friends thread within the AudioAllTheWay-section of the 2000 Watts forum.

I already asked in September '12 in the above mentioned thread if you could elaborate a little more. But you never replied.
I bumped the thread of which i'm talking about in 2000 Watts.
I think it's always a little problematic when someone posts such little tidbits of info, seemingly as fact, without any further explanation.

I hinted that POTW might make an appearance on the Cirque show. I never referred to "Children's Holiday" in my sole posting about this but I'm aware that people interpreted it that way, not my issue though.

Where's Eddie Cascio and James Porte? I can't get enough of their tracks! I wanted to hear more Jason Malachi or overprocessed MJ whichever you prefer! :(

In all seriousness, what about Tricky Stewart? He did produce Keep Your Head Up, but he also remixed Slave to the Rhythm. I would like to see Buxer and MD Prince as well as Neff-U. I wonder what tracks Mischke produced as he also sings background vocals for the Michael Prince and Neff-U songs. Sadly will.i.am is not gonna budge, he will keep refusing his release, no doubt about that.

I'm indifferent about Teddy Riley. He may have worked on many of the Cascio tracks and "butchered" Hollywood Tonight but let's not forget he gave Dangerous the beat. (though some fans would think Teddy "outdated" MJ's music by adding the New Jack Swing in the early 90s). I don't want to see Quincy Jones especially after his claims that he did all the work and that MJ's health issues were merely excuses (which are sometimes echoed by MJ-haters).

HA. I definitely should have included Eddie and James... they need their two votes ;)

But with Tricky Stewart, I read that he never physically recorded with Michael, which would mean that the Estate would give him songs done with other producers to redo, which would completely change Michael's original vision. Will.i.am WILL budge; he's already retracted his statements that he will "never" release the songs. I'm sure that with a few more years he'll put a song or two out. Hey, he could even break for THIS album! Ya never know!

I think it's a myth that the Jackson took songs from Carolwood. In sure there is a few producers at there holding on to done tracks MJ asked them too. But the Jackson's couldn't keep quiet long enough without bragging they had songs.

None. The work they left behind with Michael will suffice. And personally, I think a "studio" album is a bad idea. There can be no true studio album without Michael. It's just desperation. Just put out a solid collection of unreleased songs and don't try to dress it up as something it isn't.
I agree. Just get an engineer who worked on the original track with MJ to prepare the demo for release. No external producers, no spicing it up to make it sound 'current', just the product that Michael left behind. To me the demos on Bad 25, as incomplete as some of them may be, are so much more enjoyable to listen to than the tracks on 'Michael'. They feel like authentic Michael Jackson songs, not remixed or spiced up Michael Jackson songs.

In all seriousness, what about Tricky Stewart? He did produce Keep Your Head Up, but he also remixed Slave to the Rhythm.
The guy who bragged about 'murdering' the original production? God I hope not. If they do decide to hire producers to do extensive work on the tracks, then at least let it be people who were involved with the original demo and who want the final product to be true to Michael's vision.

In a thread dedicated to POTW & CH you postet:

"Scheduled for release in 2013"

4 words + the year. Nothing more. Maybe it's not your issue, but it's safe to say, that it's not the readers fault if they where misled.
Further you never mentioned the Cirque Residential as the possibility for the release, as you claim above. Cirque was never as much as mentioned in said thread.

One little advice. Maybe you should try to not sound as patronizing.

"Scheduled for release in 2013."

Where do you mention Cirque then?

So with that in mind, there could be many more songs that the Estate just isn't in the possession of. Keep in mind that Michael recorded TONS of demos alone, as well as taking his work home with him when working with other producers. (Do we even know if will.i.am has his vocals done with Michael?) Great info, I forgot about that tidbit.

All I can be sure of is that Breed needs to be released in some way. (For those of you who don't know, Breed is an incomplete environmental recording done in 2009. Michael and Deepak Chopra were supposed to write the lyrics together, but they never met to do so.) Even though it's just an instrumental, it sounds truly gorgeous. Even as a B-side to a single would be fine with me.

@MJJuniorSinceMW: I simply gave a hint, no concrete mentioning of Cirque, yes. You could either make that connection or not based on fan reports who talked with Kevin Antunes. There's no misleading as I do not claim to be an official spokesperson. Let's stay on topic please.

ps: go check out my post "what the next years should look like (idea)" i put down some ideas i would love to see happen in the next few years (very well thought out and researched) i would love to hear some of y'alls ideas too!

I can't wait for new material.

As long as the album is great - I do not care much who produced it!

I would love an album like Dangerous! - Such a perfect album! :)

@jtabbott8: Those songs were only registered in 2009, they have been worked on in various years. "Don't Be Messin' " eg is from the BAD era (released on BAD 25 in 2012) while "Days In Gloucestershire" is from 1998/1999, to give you two examples.

All of the songs i listed were either recorded in 08/09 or reworked in 08/09, i know some of the songs date back, but they were, to my knowledge, reworked or recorded in 08/09.

Let's hope so that means we have alot to look forward too. How do you know this please?

But just, HOW do you know this? Based on info you have gathered online? The only true way to know this is to have spoken with very close ppl to Mike who are either aware of the songs or were there.

I would love to see Kane west do something with a few tracks. He can either be amazingly m imagistic (808s) or outlandishly extravagant (dark fantasy). I'd also like to see someone like mick ronson or George Martin (beatles) do some stripped back 70s style productions.

To my surprise I found that there is a 30 second leak of 'Days in Gloucestershire' online but i'm sure most of you already knew that. I found a few other leaks like 'Roll the Dice' and 'Red Eye' aswell. Would anyone be kind enough to list anymore of the leaks known to exist? I already know all the full song leaks like hot street, xscape, nite line, etc but i'm more interested in the 30 second leaks there are out there.

Songs like Shut Up and Dance and I Am a Loser actually date back to 1999 during the early Invincible sessions, although Michael was revisiting SUAD around 2008 for his album. I Was the Loser dates to late 2008, while all three MJ/BB orchestral ideas are from circa 2007, if I recall correctly. Not sure about everything else though.

We don't know for sure, though, just how much of this material is complete enough to release. Joe Vogel did speak one-on-one with a number of Michael's collaborators (like Brad Buxer and Bill Bottrell) and is perhaps the best source if we wanted to know how much material from post-2001 is available. He spoke of several nearly-finished songs being recorded at the Bel-Air Hotel in late 2008, along with multiple new songs with Brad Buxer so he has a knowledge that very little others have.

A 30-second leak of DIG? I don't think so; I hadn't heard anything about that. The longest snippet publicly available is five seconds that was recorded on an iPod. The 'leak' was probably just an instrumental some stupid fan is playing off as the actual song.

There aren't many lengthy leaks out there since Michael died. So far we have,

A Place with No Name (25 seconds)
Another Day - Original Mix (1 minute 29 seconds)
Do You Know Where Your Children Are (full)
I Am a Loser (three snippets between three and six seconds)
Can't Get Your Weight Off of Me (7 seconds)
Days in Gloucestershire (two snippets, five and three seconds)
Hollywood Tonight - Original Demo (multiple snippets ranging from five to twelve seconds)
People of the World - Original Demo (multiple snippets ranging from three to ten seconds)
Slave to the Rhythm (full)
Blue Gangsta (full)

This is just off the top of my head, of course.

Thank you! I knew all of these but 'I am a loser'. Sorry D: It was 'It's all about you' that was 30 seconds long, I got mixed up. I see you didn't mention that on your list so if you haven't heard it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUcqwMgBqMM

That's an obvious fake. Every sound Michael makes in there is copy/pasted. I saw the other two tracks you mentioned in the suggestions column on YouTube. Rolling the Dice is full of obvious copy/pastes too, so another definite fake. And Red Eye, like so many other supposedly real MJ snippets on YouTube, is conveniently just an instrumental (that to me really does not sound like anything MJ would do). It's a pity some fans like to fool other fans by posting fake tracks.

edit: just to be clear, I am not referring to you Dilan, I mean the people who upload these fake snippets on YouTube.

Just listening to it again and it does sound completely pasted in 'Roll the Dice'. However, I have listened to every MJ song out and I don't recall a "talk about it" at 0:16 and that particular "aww yeahh yeah" at 0:25 in It's About You. Where do you think they come from?

Both those two parts are not MJ's voice.

George Martin? I'd rather like Quincy do that. I know he's a jerk, but he has more to do with Michael and with Michael's style than George Martin.

Though I don't know how sharp he is still as a musician. He looks pretty senile when he talks.
