Picture Of The Day

@zinniabooklover you like literally nothing that I like. I can stare at these faces for hours (not true but it makes it more dramatic).
I do like this type of photo, especially stuff from the 1940's and 50's. This particular photo I'm not mad keen on, tbh, but it's more about the photo as the album cover. For me it doesn't work. George and the other guy obviously saw something in it immediately but, whatever it is, it's not getting through to me. I was interested to read about it, though.

I never see the 1940s,50s or 30s like this jubilant festival like atmosphere this picture projects. If I didn’t know any better they were watching a great concert.
Coney Island is big in American popular culture so it was interesting to me to find out the pic was taken there. They had entertainment there, I think there was a theme park or something like that.

Yes the photo is apparently bigger, the album cover just focussed on the people. Parts of the theme park were also visible in the original picture.
