Lately my heart and my mind have been with palestine, and as such, I've been wondering what michael thought about it then, and were would he stand now. Paris said that she stands with Israel, since she is Jewish - I thought that was a bit odd thing to say at least, since thousands of kids and people have been dying since the creation of the Israeli estate (and cause michael always said he was the only parent, and even Debbie wasn't born Jewish, she converted idk if Paris was implying something else with that statement), and my first thoughts were... What would Mike think of That? But then we all know that he voluntarily (?) associated himself with shmuley and geller, and even meet ariel Sharon through themeven though shmuley says he knew it was going to happen, and uri said he did not. But shmuley clearly has an agenda and he is zionist (you can go check his Twitter, he has been making some awful remarks about killing Palestinians). Then again we all know he was used by this guys but even though he wrote palestine don't cry in 93, It's just weird to me that he could gaslight Israel, and he has pics with the army, the flag of Israel, but never publicly supported palestine? Could it be because of the industry? I wanna ear your thoughts, soldiers of love. I stand by peace and the end of the apartheid estate created by Isreal, and most of all the end of the massive killings that have been going on for years. Even in 2008 there was an Israeli attack were they killed circa 1300 innocent civilians. But also I wanna be clear : I love Jewish people and I love their culture and their religion. I'm from Europe, I grew up knowing all about the holocaust, and I've always hated what happened to them and have nothing but respect for the Jewish community. But I also think that what has been going on since 1948 is unforgivable.
hi there. Id like to make some points because your post seems to be a little unorganised. firstly, as we all know, Michael didn’t have a political stand, not publicly at least. I think that his only stand would be “not to judge a person until you have walked two moons in his moccasins”. I am not saying that people should not think critically about the conflict, but one must enquire for a deeper understandin.
Paris is born a Jew because her mother converted to such. Converts in Judaism are higher regarded so if anything, Debbie’s conversion makes Paris more of a Jew. Notice I am not using the word “Jewish”, But “Jew”.. being a Jew is not a choice, but living as one is. Most Jews you know zero relation to Judaism and it’s ok. Paris had since converted to Christianity while living with her grandmother, but that conversion is null in higher realms, because there is no way to escape your Jewish soul. You were either present at mount Sinai or wasn’t.
if you had watched any of the footage from October 7th as I am sure Paris did, you would be scared too. So nothing odd here.
Shmuely and Uri have little to do with Israel and I am not sure what was the basis or factor that had them have sharon meet with Michael, but I would have liked to be a fly on the wall. at Any case, it shows you he did recognise Israel and it’s right to exist, which is saying plenty.
perhaps you can find MJs support for Palestine in his song BAD with the following lyrics: “You are throwing stones to hide your hands”. the song was written in midst of the first intifada aka “the stone war”. In the short film mj had Sean Lennon around wearing a black and white khafyia in solidarity of the people of Palestine, which at the time were forbidden from raising the Palestinian flag, so they adopted the kafyia as a sign of rebellion. But what people tend to ignore is that the kafyia is nothing but a head scarf worn by men in the harsh desert climate.
MJ was in Israel during the dangerous tour, but that was a direct result of him having a Jew as his tour promoter And not a personal choice. He took pictures with the army here, but unlike anywhere else, it was with the women corps. Again, we can’t tell if this was a personal choice.
im not going to address your personal opinion on the conflict because this Is obviously about MJ. I can only say that as a spectator I can find many similarities between the way MJ and Israel are treated by the public and media.
