I am still waiting for my Opus, but now, I regret ordering the darn thing from Kraken.

Reading the Barnes&Noble comments, I am appalled that Kraken did not include the Memorial wall pullout as promised.


I am very disappointed.

This is really depressing reading about all the mistakes. Michael would never of allowed it to be sent out like this, he was a perfectionist and would of made sure it was perfection too. I mean these mistakes are not going to be rectified are they, Opus are not going to recall them and reprint so we are going to be left with a very expensive and imperfect tribute to our MJ.

I hope that although there are no updates on my FedEx tracking page, my Opus will arrive tomorrow as promised! Maybe, they are too busy to update the current status...
 
Have just spoken to Opus. Apparently the ones for the UK are still stuck in customs, and they are waiting for a call to say that they have been released. As soon as they receive this call they will start to dispatch them immediately. He said that they are aware they have a lot of very unhappy customers! He has promised to call me back once he has got the call from customs. We will see............

I read from this thread that only some US fans got it.... and someone said it was shipped from China which makes me feel more depressive--maybe her friend got it straignt from the factory? And I'm not going to get it around Feb (the event date of my ticketmaster was changed from Dec 31 to Jan 30)? As my Opus will travel all the way around the globe and then come back???

As for the errors I read...the whole thing is a MESS...

This is very disheartening... There's nothing happening with the FedEx tracking, it still claims to be initializing. Bah... And we'll be quite busy now before Christmas... If (it better be when but I'm not holding my breath) the book arrives in the next couple of days, I hope at least one of us is here receiving it. I think there'll be no deliveries on Christmas Eve. Hmmm... It's not fun to read about mistakes either and I really would have preferred two gloves. Oh well... I just want to get the book in one piece.
 
No WAY IN HELL they have been in customs this long... Jesus drugs are released quicker than this...

My friend rang and was told the same thing and i am also waiting for a call back.
 
Does anyone remember that the Opus was to include a pull-out centerfold of the Memorial Wall signing? :scratch:

Hi Fiona I am also from Hong Kong and still not yet receive the Opus book as of today. I ordered it from Ticket Master.
 
The card will be issued separately. We will be issued with a special pin number.

I have just spoken to Opus and they have said the the UK order is held up in customs in three containers (they have had 25,000 orders!!). I have left my name and address and phone number and they are calling me back at 3pm with a delivery date.

They have asked that people do not call the delivery companies as they cannot answer anything about the deliveries. Opus are waiting for customs to issue them with the PIN numbers so they can then give these to the delivery company. They are trying to get them to us before Christmas.......!!!!!
 
i am really feeling i don't want this book now :(
it's just insulting to get facts wrong, to us and to michael. they have not taken any care in this item.
i wonder how many people will get a refund if they ask...
 
This thread moves so fast. Last time I read, the UK books were delayed because of the weather at sea! :/

Oh noo what mistakes? I read Michael Lee Bush said there was a mistake about the place and occasion of a photo.

Edit.. Just read about some of the mistakes. We should tell them, and tell the estate. Its a damn expensive book to have mistakes in.. makes me want to return it as soon as it gets here.

Grrrrrr why do they show things and then change their mind after we buy it..
 
I just got of the phone with fedex. Although their site shows info about shipping, the package doesn't really excist. Opus uses a webinterface available for customers of fedex to register their shipments. That doesn't mean the pacakges are actually picked up by fedex. It's up to Opus to arrange the pick up. After it is picked up, fedex actually starts shipping it and can control the shipment. Untill that moment there is nothing they can do.

So, although the shipments are registered by Opus, they are'nt actually shipping them out. They just regestered the books but nothing is shiped. It looks like they just wanted to by themselves some time and get those bitchin MJ fans of there backs by regeestering packages that don't excist. Maybe in the new year we have more luck :-(

As far as I heard the pull-out centerfold of the Memorial Wall signing is not in the book. :no: Can someone who already has the Opus confirm this please?
 
I know for a fact that FedEx IS open on Christmas for certain packages sent like this. My mom use to work for FedEx so she knows about fedex and how they work. She said it's completely viable for you to get it on Christmas. I told her of the situation and she said to me:

The opus is huge and if they are stuck at customs then they stupidly shipped them in bulk and they have to inspect everything since it weighs so much. It's policy if it weighs over a certain amount to individually inspect each box (running it through and x-ray machine like at the airport) and its far to heavy to just throw into the machine so they will have to individually hand load everything. It would've been smarter and faster but more expensive for the company to just send them the normal way. They would still be stuck at customs for a bit but not for this long. The whole problem is the wight of the bulk shipment. I'm appealed at everything about the shipping. Never have I ever in my 14 years at FedEx heard of something that dumb. If its stuck at customs for THIS long then someone really dropped the ball. They are probably moving smaller ones first and ignoring the opus'. I'd take a guess that they have been sitting there for more than two weeks. This is half FedEx s fault (stuck at customs) and half the shippers fault (dumb bulk shipment).

about the errors :unsure: its bad but im just gonna deal with it. can you imagine the mess if they had to return EACH opus and send out a new one? i dont wanna even think about it :lol: it would be even more of a mess this is :coffee:
 
First they said DHL then there was FedEx after that the excuse was bad weather at the sea, to me she said something about train transport problem today… to another person they said they are still stuck at the customs. Now they don’t even exist yet.:lmao: :hysterical:

asked my mom about the packages not existing:

the opus' are there in customs or they are through customs they are now in the process of getting shipment labels on them. if the packages dont 'exist' then they dont have shipment labels on them and there is no way to track them. once a label is applied then it will

I emailed the Times bookshop because I was confused at all these reports of being stuck in customs/bad weather. But apparently mine has left on a 24 hour courier today!!!! I hope this is true.

Should be true, I just had a call from the bookshop saying they have it to send but my card was declined. :doh:
I'm paid tomorrow and with Christmas I have over spent this month, So it wasn't in there for them to take. :bugeyed Told her to take the money tomorrow LOL! She said I was pushing it for it to come before christmas, but i'm not worried about that. It's on it's way anyhow. :)
