Well am worried because ''this is it'' went straight to number 1 when it was released
Amazon.com accounts for 20% of weekly album sales and Itunes album sales varies in respect to age of the artist.younger artist higher % of itunes album sales compared to older artists
I would just pick some of the artists that had the highest 1st week sales this year to illustrate my point.
for example kanye sold 496,000 copies and 45% were itunes sales[224,000]

Taylor sold 1,047,000 and 278,000 of total sales were digital [itunes mainly]
Eminem sold and 741,000 and 255,000 digital copies
Drake sold 447,000 and 103,000 digital copies
Most young artist sells about 25 to 50% of their albums digitally
Compare the above artists to older ones like
Sade who sold 502,000 and 91,000 were digital sales
Susan boyle sold 318,000 and digital sales was less than 10% of total sales
And even some young ones like usher sells just above 10% digital copies
usher sold 329,000 and 46,000 were digital sales

In short for older artist Itunes sales might not give the right picture in respect to sales, hopefully in-store sales would be more bouyant.
