Hey Mel can you get the sims 3 game for a mac?

I went into the city tonight to the comedy festival
and saw Frank Woodley. He is awesomely funny. :wild:

now back to cafe world :wild: LOL.
 
I have finally been able 2 re install the sims 3 game on :)

But the actual game keeps frezzin on me :angry:

Kel you can buy the Sims 3 for Mac's, it should be able to be purchased anywhere you can get the game eg JbHifi, EB Games ect ect, just when you purchase it make sure it's for your Mac and not a PC :)

Jess the game will be freezing on you most probably because you have have the graphics card strong enough to show the graphics that's required. Either that or you system isn't strong enough to run the game.
 
This Might Help you too Kel, as I'd hate for you to pay $100 for it and it doesn't run, you need to make sure that your mac has the following requirements:

* Mac OS X 10.5.7 Leopard or higher
* Intel Core Duo Processor
* 2 GB RAM
* ATI X1600 or Nvidia 7300 GT with 128 MB of Video RAM, or Intel Integrated GMA X3100.
* At least 6.1 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB of additional space for custom content and saved games
* This game will not run on PowerPC (G3/G4/G5) based Mac systems, or the GMA 950 class of integrated video cards.

Jess I'm not sure what version of windows you have whether its xp or vista but this should help you too


Windows XP:

* 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
* 1 GB RAM
* 128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
* The latest version of DirectX 9.0c
* Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2
* At least 6.1 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB of additional space for custom content and saved games


Windows Vista:

* 2.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
* 1.5 GB RAM
* 128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
* Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1
* At least 6.1 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB of additional space for custom content and saved games


Guys if you computer doesn't have these requirements then the game will either install and just freeze like its doing with Jess or it won't work at all, so make sure you have the requirements before you pay the $100 for the game.
 
^^ Don't games cost a ridiculous amount. It's really no wonder people get them illegally

Anyone got any plans for tonight? I'll be watching Bond cause they are playing different ones every Sat on TV -- 15 odd to go lol. tonight's is Tomorrow Never Dies :D Maybe not the most exciting Sat night plan but it's good enough for me XD

I finally got 2 play my sims game tonite :)

It was fun,but a lil confusing lol.

Yeh a few games do cost quite a bit, but it depends on what game it is.

I was thinking of watching twilight .....but earth hour started then i changed my mind
 
Thanks Mel. I forget my computer specs .. err need to check the box. But it's only a year old my macbook so I reckon it'd be fine. Yeah $100 is quite a lot. I want to get a Nintendo wii.. can you play the sims on that or is that a really silly question :giggle:

No plans for me tonight. Tried to clean my room a bit. Put all my MJ books in a box with dvds and other books to tidy, that way they are ready for when I move. Whenever that is exactly :scratch: :timer:
 
Im not sure if u can play sims on a will...would be cool if u could!

If the Mac is only a year old then it should be fine, but just double check, like I said I'd hate for you to pay that amount of money and you can't play it.

I've got a Wii, they are excellent, I got mine for Chrissy back in 2008 of course you can get them in bundles that are cheaper then what my parents paid for mine, I think my bundle was $500 but then they were only not long released so that's probably why.

And no you can't get the sims for Wii, The sims 3 is only available for PC and Mac's only, no other video console unless they are going to release it in the future. However you can buy all the sims from sims 1 to sims 2 castaway on PS2.

Mine that I was playing is a 30 day trial play so I now have to actually buy the game, I wasn't sure if my system was able to handle such a game that's why I downloaded the 30 days to see if it would run it that way if it didn't I wouldn't of been $100 out of pocket.

I went onto the JbHiFi website and I don't know if its every JbHiFi in Australia, but here they have it for sale for $84 so it's a little cheaper then EB Games. I'm going to go to riverlink on Friday when I get paid and pick it up, if you get the game and your happy with it, I'll give you the website that lets you download all sorts of stuff that's MJ.

There is a couple of MJ sims you can choose from a few of his outfits like thriller and smooth criminal I even think Bille Jean was there too, you can also buy MJ shirts for the guy sims and picture to put on your walls.
 
OMG totally forgot 2 write what happenend in my dream the other nite!

In my dream i was watching michael rehearse thiller for THIS IS IT and he was dancing. And behind him all of a sudden kenny ortega walks in and starts doing a lil dance too. But the thing is michael didnt know that, and while he was dancing he swinged his arm around and accidently hit kenny on the head!!! :lol:

Kenny was like "huh?"

Michael goes *giggling* ''Im so sorry kenny im so sorry! i didnt know u were there!

I'm at a friends place and everyone is asleep execpt for his dog. So I am waiting for him to wake up (he is only ment to be having a snooze).
 
So, was down at Circular Quays last night....city was pretty dark because of Earth Hour...you know..doing our bit to help the whole Global Warming problem. During Earth Hour....they had fireworks....

Now is it just me, or does this not defeat the purpose haha. Turn of your lights everyone, and we'll polute the air with fireworks :p

Yeppers they had to go there on the channel 9 news this morning.....

They had that Richard Reid guy on and he was doing on about them finding the creams in MJ's home and he was like....... well apparently it didn't matter to Michael if he was black or if he was white............ :rant: stupid f@cker ..... I love how nobody seems to have the brains to look up vitiligo and see that most patients have to use that to even out their skin. Otherwise he would have walked around looking like a damned giraffe... I can't imagine why MJ didn't want anyone to know he used it...... they jump to conclusions just like that. And he knew they would.

I´m from Australia, and everyone thinks I´m joking when I say we have annual camel races, and also export camels world wide, I wanted to sell my gold camel and could do it here http://www.postalgold.com/sell-my-gold- but apparently it was too small haha - here´s a fact I found about the population of camels in Australia :
