The song -- "A Place with No Name" -- sounds similar to the song "A Horse with No Name" released by the group America back in 1971. We're told several years ago America's manager gave his group's permission for Jackson to record the song, "A Place with No Name" -- despite the similarity.

America's current manager, Jim Morey, who was also Michael's manager in the late 80's and early 90's, tells us, "The band was honored that Michael chose to do their song and they hope it becomes available for all Michael's fans to hear."

It's unclear when Michael recorded the song.

OK guys. I've just talked to Gary about it and we are going to allow the snippet. Giving the situation we have decided the benefits of this out weigh our past responsibilities. We know Michael would want his loyal and loving fans to enjoy his unreleased work rather then waiting for it to become a money maker for the corporate businesses. So please lets start a fresh tread with the links so everyone can enjoy it.

It's very good I can't stop listening to it! I'm still curious as to when it was recorded. It sounds fairly new judging by Michael's voice, but the horse song that inspired it is way old. I guess the two events needn't be connected. *shrug* I was hoping it was new, because it sounds very natural and timeless without too much tech elements like there were on Invincible. I'd definitely like to hear more songs like that released.

His voice is so perfect, it's like candy to my ears. :mello: I don't care if it's only 25 seconds, right there I can replay over and over. Omg.

Yes 100%, to put your mind at rest. I would recognise his voice everywhere and I haven't been fooled by a sound-alike yet.
 
Ohh Myy...That is one great voice. I cant seem to stop playing it. Michael, Thankyou for this. Eventhough its just a snipp, Its Amazing. I feel happy right now.*tearing up, happy tears* A lot better than yesterday. or last week. Thankyou MJJC for allowing this.

It sounds like a left over from Invincible, it's sweet. Hope we'll be able to hear the entire song one day so we can judge it better :)
