She maybe grown, but she is still young and impressionable. If someone tells you sound okay and you just need to keep practicing to become good and keep at it, you mostly would if it was your dream and all you needed was more hard work. Besides, there are some people how are honestly tone deaf to their own singing. Just look at those early auditions of American Idols. Some may be there for their five minutes of fame, but some actually think they can see and were told by others around them that they could. Kind of like how Latoya thinks she can sing.

Also, some people could be telling her that you doesn't even have to be a good singer to make it. Some fans here go on about popular artists that can't sing and can't understand why they're so popular.
 
Because your last name is Jackson doesnt mean you HAVE to be a singer, or even in show business. I dont know if someone is encouraging her, but it's not realistic.
She should try and find what her real talent is.

I'm from Europe, I take it as an insult what LaToya said. That song and G's singing is plain rubbish, not european :D

Whenever someone puts out a shitty song, they always say it sounds very European.

Like we don't have internet access and don't know what's going on in other part of the world. Europe has given us Adele, Estelle...and Genevieve doesn't sound anything like those two soul singers.

I think all Europeans should be insulted by LaTonta's comparison.

That being said, I hope she will be a better therapist than she is a singer...



ITA: I am under the impression, they are all trying to ride the MJ wave. There is a reason MJ & Janet never released CDs simultanuously.

It sounds like one of those terrible 90's european dance tracks from the eurovision song contest. so yeah if latoya thinks its still the 90's then the song does sound european. but then latoya prob thinks europe is a country

I wouldnt call rehashing a dodgy euro pop/dance sound from the 90" as something new. then again they prob werent even born when 2unlimited and the rest were doing the rounds!
